K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Original Submission - need a sanity check	Hi Cody, unfortunately I don't know a lot about your type of filing, but my husband did send I-130 for me for our AOS application. What I can suggest you is to send at least a few pictures of your wife and you together as a part of proving bona fide of your marriage. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Canadian marrying an American and moving to the US	Hello, I am a CAN citizen and I am planning on marrying a US citizen this summer. We plan on filing the I-130 and additional documentation immediately afterward. I'm based in Mtl, he in LA. My question is this: We had initially planned on him coming to Mtl, but due to an old DUI charge that is no longer a possibility (at least not until 2013). Will this cause any hiccups if I head there instead? I have not read anything stipulating otherwise, but we were unaware of how much this would affect his Canadian immigration until we spoke with a lawyer. I'd like to avoid seeing another lawyer, if at all possible. Thanks in advance, I'll be sure to visit/keep you informed of our progress. I'm a Canadain who married an American also. Anyway, The recorded msg on NVC still says "You case was completed blah blah blah...please allow 6 to 8 weeks blah blah blah." I guess we're all in the same life boat wiating patiently (or not) for Montreal to arrange for us to come in for a chat. Asia: East and Pacific	Indonesia - Middle name and Family name	Hello everyone 1) My wife from Indonesia and her immediate family, do not have a "family name." So what should we put in the forms of both the G325-A and I-130 boxes which asks for the "Family name"? 2) Some other people from Indonesia who have went through the visa process suggested for her to use her middle name as the family name. Is this correct? 3) GREEN CARD. The concern is that if she does not have a "family name," then on her green card, will it just contain her first name only? Or will it also contain her middle name? This absence of a family name is really making it all so difficult and confusing for us because we are hearing two ways Thank you in advance for any help. I received another letter today from NVC saying that they will forward the petition within a week to Cairo and will be processed at Post: CAIRO EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES, VISA UNIT 8 KAMEL EL-DIN STREET GARDEN CITY, CAIRO EGYPT your fiancee will soon received a packet with instructions from the consular section on how to apply for the K-1 via at the post and what documents will be required. In the meantime, you should visit the Department of State's www.travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_4323.html to determine if the processing post has any information of which you should be immediately aware. So maybe you are right maybe they are going to start opening visas for K-1 that would be wonderful for all of us applying in Egypt for our love ones. Congratulations I am happy for you. His interview was supposed to be Feb 17 and we were going to try to have him here by the end of Feb. He already missed the birth of our first child. I don't want him to miss any more important moments in her life. Like when she starts crawling, first step and first word. We both hurt so much because of this waiting and cry so much but i know all that we can do it wait and know in my heart that we will be together again soon. That this is only a small bump in the road of spending the rest of our life together I wish you the best of luck and in god will you will be together again soon. And if it does happen no one knows what is going to shut down and be still be running. So everything out there that you hear about this is just guessing. Until you know for sure what is going to happen you shouldn't do this as it will drive you crazy. To make a long story short, my fiance had a good case of "cold feet", and we've just decided without a doubt to continue on with our K-1 process. Here's my question: Obviously there is not enough time to get his police record etc., and finish up the rest of the paperwork and exam by the 7th of next month. What do I do? Do I contact the London Embassy directly to request an extention on my petition? Has anyone ever gone through this process before? Thanks so much in advance for your help! How long after you sent the docs did you receive your visa? Did you still pay for another visa fee? My fiance is planning on filing a new tax return for part of this year to show income now as he`s self employed. I don`t know if that`s possible and how soon he can get it. He has assets like his house but it`s mortgaged and other houses outside the US. Can that be used? Just found out that his tax return in 2008 was also very low. Only his 2007 is way above the poverty level. It takes a month din b4 my husband found a job...7 weeks after we submit the docs., my visa got approved.we didnt pay for another visa fee.i think once u pay for the visa it is valid for a yr.i dont know about filing the tax maybe it can help,jus send all the papers that shows ur husband assets i mean all the papers that u might think it can help,and after u send the papers call the embassy for follow-up.my husband called twice a week after we sent the docs.i know how u feel..dont worry i know u can have ur visa soon.always think positive.keep on praying..God bless	GineanDave	Female	Philippines	2010-06-30 22:35:00

However, in my fiance`s 2009 tax return, he said was not enough to support me. My fiance is self employed. His previous years` tax returns were high except last 2009 due to losses in his company. That`s the only thing we submitted though, his 2009 tax return. They said this can be overcome if we can submit additional proof that he can support me. The lady who released my passport said co-sponsor is not an option. She said my fiance can get another job, but that`s not possible at all. His time is not even enough running his business. To those who had been through this, what other supporting evidence did you submit? hi, i was with ur situation before. the consul ask us also to submit add. proof of income. my husband present to them all the assets he had( my husband he's with me during my interview)but still the consul not satisfied even if it is above the poverty..actually,a months before my interview my husband he quit he's job not knowing that it is gonna cause us alot in processing of my visa...so,all he did is flew back to the US and find a job and got lucky to have one, 2 days after he start working my husband asked a letter from his employer,stated how many hrs he work per wek and the rate per hrs,then we sent it to the embassy and my visa got approved. I sent in the I-134 with the I-129F petition back in July, and am wondering if I should resend one. If all goes well with the packet handling, the I-134 i already sent will be close to a year old. Should I just be regathering this info instead of waiting for packet instructions?
