Philippines	want to ask if the appointment letter i received missed 6 letters,is it not a big issue?	You can do either one. Since you already got the letter from the embassy you can make sure the address is correct on your DS-156 and also during the interiveiw have them make the correction. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Solid evidence?	Hi, I already posted this in December filers, but I was hoping it would get better exposure here. I am about to send my ROC package today, and just hoped that someone could do a quick check. This is what we have: -joint I-751 -copy of GC front and back -check for $590 -copies of both DL -joint tax returns (transcripts) for 2008 and 2009 -papers from the purchase of our home a year ago, older rental leases showing both names -papers from joint car purchase -joint home, car, health, dental insurance info covering last 2 years -letter from the bank stating I was added to bank accounts in 2008, some statements covering last 2 years and showing that both of our incomes are deposited into same account -grocery stores cards with both names, some statements from Sam's club -various bills in both names or separate covering all addresses we lived at -shared phone plan -401k from my work showing my husband as beneficiary -statement from my husband's work showing me as beneficiary (some perks he gets) -tons of boarding passes from trips together -hotel receipts from our trips, holiday cards from family and friends, prints of 15-20 pictures covering last 2 years I know pictures are only secondary evidence, but does it matter that I only have paper printouts? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2011 Filers	I'm and April filer, but perhaps my experience (copied below from the April thread) can give you some guidance. Note: my instances do not relate to the Phillipines, so your actual experiences may vary. I expect that most airlines that routinely fly into the United States are aware of the extension facility for conditional permanent residents. My Experiences (copied in part from the April thread) For what it's worth, I just wanted to share my experience in using the I-551 stamp (the endorsement you get in your passport, typically at an INFOPASS appointment, to confirm US residency at foreign and US ports)and expired Green Card with the Extension Letter Foreign Departure Ports: I have entered the United States several times since my Green Card expired. These entries are typically from Europe and Central & South America. For some reason, the I-551 stamp in the passport really throws off the airline officials at the departure ports. To test the stand-alone efficacy of the I-551 stamp, I always present my passport only (no Green Card, no Extension Letter) and point to the stamp. The airline staff always look at it in confusion, make a few phone calls, and then ask me for my Green Card. Upon handing that over, they seem much more satisfied and then ask if I have an Extension Letter. Upon seeing this, I get waved through, or asked to wait for a quick computer check which typically takes an additional 2-3 minutes. The I-551 stamp by itself has NEVER worked, and I ALWAYS get asked for the Green Card even after showing the valid stamp At US Entry Ports: I adopt a different tactic. When I get to Immigration, I simply hand over my passport and Green Card (no Extension Letter). The processing is identical to when my Green Card was valid. I do the fingerprints, my card gets swiped, my passport gets stamped and I get waved through. No officer at an immigration port has EVER asked me to produce the Extension Letter. I guess what I'm saying is: a) weigh the usefulness of surrendering your expired Green Card at an INFOPASS appointment just because you're getting a valid I-551 stamp. Not all INFOPASS interviews end in the surrender of the Green Card, but be aware of its limitations (which may be unique only to my case) at foreign ports in the event that you are in a situation where you may need to surrender it and b) the residency extension information is available for US officers to review simply by swiping your card. They do not seem to need the Extension Letter to confirm your status. The Letter seems to serve the greatest use at the foreign port of departure thanks for this Info..Merry Christmas to you! Except that the I-751 should have original signatures (preferably in blue ball-point ink, to make it clear that they aren't photocopied signatures). Your son's birth certificate is already excellent evidence. If you have any evidence that the two of you are sharing parenting duties and raising him as a family unit, that strengthens the case even more. Consider family photos, christmas cards sent, health insurance policy, etc. And don't completely ignore the other categories of evidence not related to the son. I've been watching here for awhile, and among people who sent a birth certificate plus tax returns and a smattering of other evidence, I haven't seen anyone called for an interview or otherwise reporting any problems. Use due diligence and send copies of the things you have or the things that are easy to obtain, and then send it off and try not to worry about it. thankyou so much....one last question as we havet dealt with immigration for so long, how do i put all this evidence together, i'm trying to remember how i packaged it all together to send off last time...any sugestions?
