Nisam picky, samo da ima nice shower je sve sto mi treba:) Although jacuzzi tub would not hurt either

Yes- It is about preference.

MrsDarty can call it Kosovo and you can call it Kosova. Albanians call Albania Shqiperia never Albania. In the U.S. it is called Albania. Is there something wrong with that? Just like I am sure your passport says Kosovo and people from Albania passport says Albania not Shqiperia. As for the Americans calling it Kosovo well we are in America. If it was not for America, alot of Serbian and Albanian refugees would not have had the chance to come here and start a new life with lots of oppourtunities. They would not have had these oppourtunities if they were still in Kosova or Serbia.

I think I do have my stuff together...Do you think in Kosova the people are discussing what there name is? I highly think it is a priority for them with the lack of jobs, lack of electricity and bad economy. What about all the lives that were lost? What about all the people who decided to stay and fight for there country and not leave as refugees? What did they get out of it?

It is very easy for people here to sit behind computers with there nice lives and discuss what a place should be called and tell others they are wrong or confused. Try living in Kosova like the average family does and than talk to me about getting stuff together. I mean living there without outside help and working for 200 euros a month. Try supporting your family on 200 euros a month. Talk to me than about names and getting stuff together.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaCosta Rica Bound!
Hi,

Not sure where to post this, so thought Id try here.

I have a coworker that will be visiting Costa Rica later in January, and was wondering if anyone knew someone, preferably a lady :), that could meet up and show him around.

Im not even sure if its appropriate to post this on the site, but everyone here seems nice and helpful. Just trying to help him out.

I took a trip to Laos earlier this year and got engaged to my fiancee, that's when he decided to take this trip. I know people in Laos, but he prefers to go to Latin America, because he knows a little Spanish.

If anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Could pm me if you'd like.

He will be in the San Jose area.

Thanks!

USCIS Service CentersIncorrect info on I-129F packet... how to correct it?
Easy to solve. Did something similar where I in the philippines the last name becomes the middle name and I did not know this. So to correct the mistake call USCIS and then when you get a real person request that you want to fix a type on form XYZ, block XX. The petitioner needs to do this. They will give you a reciept number. They may fix upon adjudication but at least then you have a receipt number that you requested this to be fixed. We had a total of 4 forms to correct and it took about 45 days before they sent us an email back that this is resolved on some forms and will be resolved at adjudication on others.

USCIS Service CentersProcessing time versus approval for K 3 visa
Hopefully yours is soon. One thing your forgetting at when you look at the USCIS web site. The date that your currently look at is from the middle of Nov. So they should be 2.5 months further along. Thus July.

USCIS Service CentersDesperately in need of some guidance
Patience will be a blessing later. I see by your time line that your just a couple months from hopefully getting approved. To pass the time spend it getting ready for the interview. Get all the docs together she will need. That helps me. It also takes away the stress that some have who wait.

Unfor serving in the military does not help this situation but having served a few years (>10) we both know that we learned to wait in lines......

Hopefully you will get something soon

Our still says pending for the I-130 and I-129f yet Trisha finished the interview at the embassy this past Monday. All we ever got was the hard copy NOA2.

Correct they do not list it in the requirements and yet sometimes do ask for it. We were asked for it in out interview. I know others were also asked for it. Some were not.

IMBRA Special TopicsCalifornia Service Center RFEs have been sent out

Not that I am not happy for everyone getting the RFE's, especially the ones from Nebraska, but I am at the same time a bit upset at the moment. I have a NOA1 date of 3/24/06 from Nebraska and I still have yet to recieve my RFE, however I have noticed several people here with NOA1 dates of May from Nebraska that are getting the RFE's. Seems like perhaps California is working from newest to oldest!!! :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

My thoughts EXACTLY!

Anyone wanna try to reason why mail can get from California to Illinois faster than it can to Colorado or even Minnesota?????? I LOVE THE US GOVERNMENT! THEY ROCK!!

NOTHING for me either.

I think the NSC to CSC transfers are getting royally screwed. I no longer care if I get it before I leave tomorrow. If I fedex it tomorrow or in two weeks I doubt it will make any difference whatsoever.

I'm feeling your frustration kitkat.... What is the point of even giving or noting a receipt date if you aren't going to process the petitions in order? You may as well just throw em' in a big pile and grab one with your eyes closed. But then again that could be how CSC works?

BTW I noticed you, luvalimey, and I all have the same timelines....

IMBRA Special TopicsAnyone care to speculate how long between RFE and NOA2?
:reading: :reading:

You woukld think they would process ones that are complete and ready for further processing instead of waiting for RFE replies for applications with earlier dates. They gotta go with what they have they are backed up already and more waiting only would make it worse.

Thats my 2 cents

Right on! Who cares about the ppl who've been waiting for 120 days cuz of the goverment's screw up. Might as well make em' wait even longer cuz they (the gov't.) couldn't even send out the RFE's in the proper order too...

The real tragedy to this whoel RFE is that people in my situation (NOA 2 approved months ago and interview cancelled) are waiting on nothing. Because I have no criminal record all I am doing on the RFE is signing my name. Nothing but signing my name to a piece of pre-printed paper with my case number and fiances name on it. I don't have words to express the months of agonizing pain and lack of reasoning behind this horrible implementation of IMBRA.

I can't imagine the emotional letdown of thinking you were "at the finish line" only to have to start the race all over again.....

But... at least your petition was processed. I've been waiting since march for them to even start mine. It could be worse.

IMBRA Special TopicsAnyone care to speculate how long between RFE and NOA2?

The logical thing to do would be to keep processing them in order of NOA1, but AS the RFE's come in.
Meaning...everyone on March 7th wouldnt have to wait for EVERY single person from March 6th to submit an RFE back. But if there was a March 6th with an RFE in, they'd go before a March 7th with an RFE in. Make sense? I mean, you have to consider that there may be people not quite as diligent as us, who will take months to respond to the RFE. USCIS is not going to wait for that person. Its entirely impractical.
Just my thoughts

The problem with this is that they are SENDING RFE'S OUT TO PPL WITH NOA1'S IN APRIL AND MAY BEFORE THOSE FROM MARCH! (sorry had to get that off my chest) Other than that tidbit of info your theory makes sense.....

Thats not entirely true.
Our NOA date is in March and we recieved the RFE from CSC yesterday. Might be good to note that we originally filed in CSC as well.

You have to remember that not everyone who is in the K1 pool is on or responding to this site. The sheer number of visas petitons out there versus the number of members in this forum that read and post regularly is drastically disproportionate.

I think we dont necessarily know the pattern yet, but we should be hopeful that expediting and release of the backlog is beginning to happen!

;)

Please note that I did not say "ALL"... but IMO if even 1 RFE went out for someone with a May date before a March date then it's one too many.

I got my RFE in the mail yesterday, July 3rd, here in MN.

Nope. Nothin'. Nada. Nil. Nuttin'.
NOA1 Mar. 27th and a NSC to CSC transfer.
I'm fresh out of optimism when it comes to our government... I'm guessing that IF they DID actually send my RFE, the USPS truck carrying it rolled over on the interstate and burst into flames or something of that nature.... would be my luck lately.

United Kingdomrunning out of time! how to ask for an extension for petition!!??
I put this in another forum as well but here goes....

My I-129F was approved August 7th and is set to expire soon....
My fiance got a good old fashioned case of "cold feet" but we've decided without a doubt that we want to continue with our lives together.

How do I ask for an extension on my approved petition? Do I contact the embassy in London directly?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance for your help!
