Mexico, Latin & South AmericaJAMAICA - Medical Exam

Question for Jamaica medical exam. My husband is 27 and has received immunizations, but doesnt have any records of it due to records being lost during hurricane Dean. Is it safe to say he should go ahead and just get immunizations now while we wait for the NVC process to go forward, that way he can show his immunization record or should he just plan on getting re-vaccinated during his medical appointment? Does anyone have any tips about this?

You don't want to wait until your medical because it is going to cause you and him alot of money. What he can do is try to go to the clinic that he receive his immun. as a child and see if they have it on file. If they have it on file they will just write up a new card with the old info or he can go to a clinic or a dr. office and explain to them that he will be traveling and he can't find his immun. card. My fiance just went through the same thing. His mom lost his immun. card but he was able to go to the clinic where he got his shots from he was a child and they were able to write up the old info on a new card he also got the rest of his shot at a private dr office and it was way cheaper to do it there . I beleive at the embassy medical place it is $5000 per shot so if your husband need 6 or 7 shots it will round about 30,000 to 35,000.

AFTERNOON YARDIES!!!

Nat--sorry to hear about hubby's dad. Safe travels to him.

Always congrats on the new addition. It is about time LOL!!! guess she was finally ready to make her entrance.

snowed in today. Went to doctor's office it was clear; came out it was covered. I only had a 15 min appointment. Janay is doing good. Still baking now in the head down position. My lord I can tell that part, cause it hurt to put legs up too high.

Hope you feel better Jessica.

Oh, do you know that Janay is my daughter middle name. I was looking up J girl names because my husband decided she have to have a J name like him. So I notice Janay "Gods precious gift" so I decide that was going to be her name then he said he had a name for her "Jaylyn", he was very disappointed when he found out that we were having a girl so I gave in and so her name will be Jaylyn Janay.

Good to see you Carmel, I changed the name because I felt like we needed change...

MRStee,I notice that your husband just received his Green Card. Was your case transfer to California? I filed for Jerome AOS and I haven't heard anything only that it was transfer California. I just looked at your timeline and it looks like it took some time for them to approve your I485.

Hey guys, It's been a long time. I actually have a chance to use my laptop. Jerome have been hogging my laptop since he got here. He uses it to let time pass when I am at work but when I get home he is still on it playing solitarie. I see everyone is well and enjoying married life. Well me and Jerome are fine. We plan on moving to our house sometime this month (finally). A special big up to all the August babies, this also my month. I found out this past week that we are expecting a little one ( a big surprise to me. I thought Jerome couldn't make one or vice versa) Jerome is so happy he actually started talking to my stomach I told him that it's not even a baby yet but he doesn't care. I'm little bit excited because this will be Jerome's 1st child for me it's alittle bit different my son will be 13yrs this December. What a big age gap.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaNon-Impediment

Quick question all...

Seems as though our non-impediment will not be ready for the interview. Although we are praying hard that it gets through by tomorrow the lady said there is no guarantee. Anybody have this experience recently? What was the result? Anyone know what might happen? I'm assuming it will be a blue slip situation and we'll have to make a follow-up appointment to bring beck information.

Any responses and assistance are welcomed. Thanks all.

No worries if you don't get it in time they will probably blue slip you. My friend fiance went on his interview which was Nov 2010 and he did not have his Non-impediment form and he was approved. They did not ask for it at all.so lets hope and pray that you have the same luck!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaJAMAICA POLICE RECORD

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaPreparing for Interview what documents should he have?

Ok guys,

we are preparing for his interview on Nov 1st. I need a checklist of what will be needed. I have his d156,156k,and 157 forms. His medical, certificate of non impediment, police record, and what else? I know he will need pics and proof of an ongoing relationship. Should I send copies or orginials of the NOA1&2? Also, I have the Affidavit of support, employment letter, paystubs.. Is my bank statement that I receive monthly good enough? I have recent tax forms. Copy of my Birthcertificate? Please let me know. Thanks :)

Sounds like you have every thing together. If you make enough money you don't need bank statements.Goodluck!

After all of the Hell that they've already put my husband through, they took the passport and said, "We've gotta check someting else, we'll call you". They kept his passport! I'll tell you something my faith will not be shaken at all!!!

Africa: Sub-SaharanThe police certificate
Hi, anyone who has experienced can please help me. How to obtain a police certificate from Nigeria. Is it a walk in process, or a letter is needed from NVC? I am trying to process the DS-230 for the CRI, I read that the police certificate is included in the package that is mail to NVC.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaFiancé Letter of Intent
Hello - I am new to the site and still figuring out how to navigate through it. Congratulations on your Visa Journey!

Last Thursday I mailed the k-1 visa packet. I was reading the questions and responses below and noticed the Fiance Letter of Intent. I included everything else in the packet except that letter. Even a pending marriage liscense from the courthouse. Now I am wondering if my packet is not complete...Do you think that will suffice...

try the 5.00 la buena phone cards. For off peak hours five dollars give you an hour and 40 minutes of talk time. Also try net2net calling plan. To TT you can get 500 minutes per month for $49.99.

Africa: Sub-SaharanNew VJ Community Member
Hello everyone, I am here to seek support, for I realized the VJ is not something one can take by yourself and thank God there is a very loving community to support each other. I'm a single dad and have been since my kid was 3-months old. She is now 5 years old and I have filed for my FS and still waiting for this thing to be over with, but it seem to be never-ending. Hope you guys will support me here. I work full-time, takes care of my girl and in school working toward a Doctoral degree. You are all wonderful people who have created a very loving community. Keep it up and send me your love and support.

They did not give her any notice and neither did they tell her why. They never even mentioned the phrase Admin Processing to her. I had to call the State Dept. to be told that it's in admin review. All the CO told her was that they are waiting for information from Washington.

Africa: Sub-SaharanVisa not issued
My SO had her interview on April 2 and was told to pick up her visa on April 17. When she showed up to pick up her visa, they gave her passport back to her and told her that they were waiting for some "information from Washington" and that when they are ready they will call her.

I immediately contacted my state Senator's office and my Governor's Office as well. Both working on it.

This is very strange. I have read about everything that they do to people but not this one. I had already gotten a ticket reserved through 1-800-LIBERIA. Thank God they worked with me not to pay until visa was in her hand. It was a huge blow both to me and SO.

Thanks Zee Bee and everyone for all your help and suggestions. Always works.
