I read the comments about the 'dangers' of social networks etc. Not discounting anyone's experience, but are you going to let your man out alone???

Believe it or not, 100s and 1000s of people hook up at work and at the mall!!

When I first moved to London from Jamaica, the loneliness was awful. Didn't have any friends and had just my grandparents around me. And they ate different food, had a totally different culture. Yes, they tried to make adjustments but it wasn't enough.
Then I started using sites like Jamaicans.com, jamaica-netlink.com etc.
Was I there to meet someone?? Hell no!!
At that time, I was actually in a long distance relationship with my ex in Jamaica, so my aim was to just to talk to fellow Jamaicans.
Now, I am not saying lock your men in a room with 70 naked virgins, I am saying let the man go talk to FELLOW Jamaicans, people who may be going through the same thing as him.
YES, he may meet women, but hell every time he walks out of the house he will meet women!!
And wedding ring or not, they'll throw themselves at just for the accent alone!
Do any of you women use Facebook? Or Hi5??
I'm sure you do. Do you go on there and hook up with men behind your SO's back??? I'm sure you don't so why should he??

In Mr Buggy's defense, I can say I have 4 GOOD males friends that I've known since I was 11 -15. And when I was in England on my own, they called me day and night. When times were rough they called me day and night.
When I moved here and sat home for a year, they called me day and night. And I thank God for my husband, because he never had a problem with it. Yes, a few of my female friends called too, but my best male friend lives in NY, and he'd call me really often because he sits at work doing nothing. Never ever EVER would I cheat on my husband, and he knows that.
Before you decide to take a man as your husband and spend the rest of your life with him, you have to KNOW he'll honor and respect you.
A cheater will always cheat. A decent man will not cheat, he'll leave.
If your man goes online and in the space of a few months goes and hooks up with someone, he was always a cheater - you just didn't know it.
And if it wasn't online, it would be somewhere else.

Please explain it to me. I just take it for granted that everyone who is dark, of color (i don't even know what term to use) is to be classified as black or AA. I realize this might be construed as ignorant, but please enlighten me. I want to see things from a Jamaican's point of view and be better in tune with my hubby. I am a first generation African so I know exactly what I am with no question.

In my eyes, I am neither African or American.
In England, the choice is 'Afro Caribbean, African or Black Other'

Ladies when your husband get dem greencard please check the spelling of their first and last name and the SEX. So, almost 2 months ago, my psycho boss fired me for no good reason. Made up a bunch of lies about me being insubordinate and rude.
Last Friday she was fired by the owners who finally realised how horrible she was. Got a call yesterday asking me to come back!! So I start Monday!! kicking.gif kicking.gif

The only thing that I'm worried about is that I have completed the process for Verizon and I'm just basically waiting for them to make a job offer.
My old job I liked, but the commute is bad, benefits aren't bad and is full time. Also, no real promotion prospects.
The Verizon job is going to be part time, but full time positions open up pretty regularly and promotion prospects are good. Commute is better. This is sales though, and while I THINK I'd be good, I've never done sales....

Sigh....

and remember this, right now he's desperate. he'll say whatever you want him to say, do whatever it takes right now just to get his green card back on track. Don't buy into the hype. You're a lovable, wonderful woman who deserves better than him. Don't let the fact you gave your all and he still disrespected you in your home on your bed affect your self esteem. He cheated because he's a cheater and that's what liars and cheaters do, they lie and cheat.
Don't wonder why, don't look at what you shoulda or coulda done, like the sun rises in the morning, like cows moo, cheaters cheat. That's just how life is.

Count this experience as just a hiccup on the path to Mr Right. A man that will love and cherish you for the queen you are. And knowing what men like this one do, will make you that much more appreciative.

Wakey, I am so sorry to hear this...nothing feels as bad as the sick feeling you get when you find someone is cheating.
I am so happy you've done the RIGHT thing and slung that piece of garbage OUT....seen similar ###### go down and the woman KEPT him, even after finding out. The hardest part is staying steadfast, he knows you love him, he'll push all the buttons he can hoping you'll stay with him long enough for him to get the green card.
As for the girl, it's easy to blame and cuss her since you love him and don't know her. But know this, whether she knew or not really makes no damn difference, your beef is with HIM...whether it's his child or not, that's NOTHING to do with you - unless you want to be able to have tangible proof of adultery.
Trust me, you OWE this woman, because you'd have been in the dark that much longer if she hadn't told you.
I pray he hasn't given you a disease, I thank God you weren't able to conceive, this would have been a bigger nightmare than it already is. God nah sleep a rass!
Change your numbers, emancipate yourself from him, do what you have to do.
