That would be strange especially after all that you have said you have experienced in your life with blood and things like that. So I take it you are not taking that job or do you think it is something you could overcome?

Nooooooooooooooooo...not touching the job with a bargepole lol!!

Can you imagine being in the chair and all of sudden you see the assistant on the floor??

Soooo....basically was offered a position as a dental assistant....All training done by one of the top dental surgeons in the country...as a formality, they want you to come in an observe a procedure....I've seen someone bleed to death after being stabbed, bodies with gunshots wounds lying in the street (one with a gunshot to the head, brains etc)...So I stand there, not much bleeding...he cuts the guy's gum and starts messing around with the flesh flapping up and down...I start feeling a litle funny, I'm like 'well I'd better get used to it!'....Stand there a bit longer, watching him digging and cutting...all of a sudden I start seeing little black dots...feel like I'm falling asleep....'wake up' with a start and I'm like 'I'm OUT!'....Walked outta there like a bat out of hell....Dr came and spoke to me after....he though I'd be good rae rae....I was like, I am the one always believing I can do anything, be anything...scared of almost nothing, but this one, no way. Out for the count....

Still can't believe it!!!

Hey all!!

So went on one interview yesterday, they would actually want me to assist in the back. The doctor used to teach dentistry at the Pennsylvania University, so he couldn't be a better teacher...They want me back tomorrow to see if I'll faint at the sight of blood

Went to my second interview today, they liked me, I liked them, they said they will be closed for two weeks and then will call me mid July for a working interview....

Got a call today from a doctor near me, she says she will call me next week to set up an appointment, her office is maybe 30 mins away from me!! (I drive 90 mins each way at present!)

The one that interests me most is the one yesterday, but drawback is that I will have to drive and take the metro...sigh.

Hey there everyone. I have a question regarding the delivery of the passport and visa to my fiance. Has anyone else ever encountered not being able to pull up any information when you put in the tracking number on the DHL website. I recived an e-mail from the embassy on Monday stating that they were currently processing Kaci's visa. ut shouldn't I still be able to pull up some information with the tracking number we were given? All it says is its an invalid airway bill. Do I have to wait until DHL scans it in once they recieve it from the embassy before I will be able to start tracking it? Thanks

Yes, I think they have to scan it first!!!

Long time not been around these parts....Been REALLY busy with the new job, really liking it so far!
But it's hard adjusting again to leaving the house at 8.30 and coming back a 8.30pm...
But I am thankful to have a steady income!

On another side, I shot a Nigerian/Zimbabwean wedding last night, REALLY enjoyed it!

The clothes were absolutely amazing, I LOVED how they colour co-ordinated down the the tiniest details....Food was amazing, and normally I won't touch African food....
Tired as hell this morning, got to sleep at 3.30 last night, had to get up at 7am this morning to start on the editing before my son woke up...

Always, where's that BABY? lol!

And where's FINESSE been?

No praying needed...they have no GROUNDS to deny...they CANNOT deny you on a FEELING, they need EVIDENCE or PROOF. And they would be CRAZY to mess with you. That card will be coming soon girl...

As for the Facebook thing, this isn't the first time I've heard of this. I heard someone had to have an AOS interview because they hadn't updated their FB status to 'married'....

Ok I understand that you were talking about a real life person, but that real life person has some of the same characteristics as alot of our fellow sisters on here. I understand thats your opinion but when it effects so many, it came off offending someone. You started it as a topic for someone to comment and thats what I did. Not to be a cheering section, but to also put my opinion in.

Now if someone came on here talking about they dont agree with long distance relationships, or women that have kids that get into new relationships with someone from another country, thats there opinion, but if its negative like that and affects alot on here then it has to be addressed.

Ive noticed that you are very blunt and strong with your comments, and off the internet I am also, but Im a little guarded because these are relationships I wanna keep and not tarnish and this is a learning experience for us all!

So with that being said.

Yes your opinion matter, because your not a newbie, your a seasoned veteran, but KJ is young and new and we need to build her up b4 we put her down     just joking KJ

But for real, your opinion matters as much as anyone elses so you dont need to sugarcoat but when it affects someone on her you do have to think about feelings!! (Just my opinion)

Still love you JaE, hope this didnt tarnish our relationship  because we want to take pictures of the baby when she come :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Now, absolutely I understand my comment was there to be commented on, but I get the feeling that if it hadn't applied to KJ, you would have a) co-signed or b) kept on walking.
Nothing wrong with defending a friend, but that's where my cheering squad comment came from.

In real life and the internet, I'm the same in that I have a very strong opinion and have no problem voicing it. But also, in real life and the internet I NEVER tear down someone for the choices they've made even if I don't agree with it. Because what's done is DONE, all a comment from me will do is hurt them. And in real life and the net, I will never deliberately cause emotional harm to anyone. Now, if we are talking trading catty comments, I'm there! But seriously, I do not air my opinions if they aren't going to DO something constructive, make someone think about the way they are handling some thing or enable them to decide to make a positive change.
Now, it doesn't mean I don't see someone doing something I think is crazy and have an opinion about that. Means I normally keep it to myself. Unless it is USEFUL.
Now regarding my real life friend, I know me saying anything to her isn't going to make a blind bit of difference, she's going to do what she wants to do. And as a friend, I'll be there to support HER decision because that's HER choice. But it bothers me. Because I think, the natural order of things are - parents raise kids, kids move out, get married, get their own place, raise their own kids. Now, that's MY opinion. Other people have different opinions, and ABSOLUTELY do what they think is best for them.
Now, had I closely been following KJ's story, would I have made the comment I did? Nope. because despite the fact I think she's brash to the point of arrogance, it would hit home to her and possibly affect her in some way. But would it make a difference? Nope, she's pregnant already, only purpose it would serve is to cause anger/upset.

As for building her up, ABSOLUTELY, the purpose of this board is to ENHANCE and ENRICH people's lives, whether through getting a better idea of the immigration process, of through shared stories to understand why you husband is doing XYZ, or just being a listener because there's stuff you want to share that doesn't have a place anywhere else or you can't tell your family.
Buttttttt, with that said, the BIGGEST piece of advice I can give ANYONE is, NEVER allow ANYONE'S OPINION to defeat, demean or negatively affect you. Listen to people yes, but discard what is not uplifting and go from there.

Now, something with me, while I may have strong opinions, I defend to the DEATH your right to voice them! So, even if we phoned each other every day, I wouldn't be mad, I'd take what you said as how it was meant, how you felt.
JaEnglishGirlFemaleUnited Kingdom2010-11-24 12:11:00
Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1

Good night yardies (F)

I hate when feelings get hurt in here. Sometimes we say things and don't think, sometimes we think things and don't know the full hundred, and sometimes even when we do know we still don't have a clue. I am a firm believer in never judging anyone. I got my own life decisions to focus on!

I don't purposefully set out to hurt anyone's feelings. If KJ had posted 'I live in my family's house and I planned to get pregnant', I would have held my tongue as my opinion would have held no value to her or anyone else. However, just as everyone else has the right to vent, I vented. Unfortunately, she decided it pertained to her and it went from there. Now, while I will absolutely refrain from saying something to hurt someone's feelings, I am absolutely not going to turn round and backtrack after I have said something that I meant at the time. It was not directed at her, she decided to 'defend' her lifestyle and then the cheering squad took my comments to mean I was attacking her. Run with it.
JaEnglishGirlFemaleUnited Kingdom2010-11-24 08:05:00
Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1

Sometimes we have to be supportive and not so blunt. She aint a family member that you have to scold, she is a newlywed with her hubby and still trying to make it, so that when the baby come she can be financially stable.

KJ on the real, I understand your situation, and when its time for you and yours to move just do it!! Its your life not anyone elses.

Sometimes yall dont understand that people are looking for support on this site and not ridicule. Even if you dont agree with me dont make it a joke on me!!!!!

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

I wasn't even talking about her, I was talking about a REAL life person and had already expressed my disgust with her. Along comes this girl and adds herself. So all of a sudden, I should change my opinion/sugarcoat it when I have ALREADY said what I thought of it?

Why does MY opinion mean anything? ESPECIALLY when NOT directed at her?
JaEnglishGirlFemaleUnited Kingdom2010-11-24 07:56:00
Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1

cuz some people have low standards, or lazy, and ghetto...personally i would feel ashamed to live under anyone else's roof but my own...i didnt' do it when i had my first child at the age of 18 when it was a oops and wouldn't do it 13 years later when my babies were on purpose

BRaaaappppp!!

That;s exactly how I feel, if the baby wasn't planned, fair enough, but PLANNING a baby under someone else's roof?? Okey dokey then...
JaEnglishGirlFemaleUnited Kingdom2010-11-23 16:02:00
Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1

Your life doesn't always have to be perfect to have a child or decide to have a child. I personally still live with my parents because I see that as an opportunity to save until its time to move when the baby comes. I still hesitate about moving because we have our own floor, bathroom included and i only see my family at meal time basically. I make enough money to rent my own place but I'm not in a rush to do so. Secondly, I decided to have a child because I have medical issues that may prevent me from having children at a late age. If we should sit and wait until our lives are stable, we have a long way to go. Eventually, once you have a child, everything falls into place. Now if your life is upside down and touting having a bunch a kids, then you need to get it together.

I don't blame ppl for making use of the free services available, however it becomes a problem when you live on it and don't attempt to do better.

Good luck with that....

Soooo..I have a friend here who lives with her husband and his parents. She has a decent job and he has an ok job. So she was telling me how they were trying for a baby. I was like why on EARTH would you be living with family in some basement, obviously can't afford a STABLE home of your own but yet PURPOSELY bringing a baby into the mix? Shouldn't your priority be MOVING out, getting a place of your OWN before having a baby? Sigh....

He is a convicted rapist, this is his FIFTH charge for sexual assault. He raped and sodomized his 13 year old step daughter with her mother's knowledge. He got 30 years, the mother is being sentenced in Feb I believe.
