IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril 2014 Interviews

No your docs aren't going anywhere. They will stay at NVC until you get your interview date. Then they get shipped to embassy.

I would think with all the expedites they are filling fast.  You ask how long it takes? It takes as long as it takes. It's all about where you are in the queue. Like I said they just finished April. May will start last week of this month. Probably about the 28th.

Depending where you are in the queue you will get a slot or have to wait no one knows. Now you just wait.

Thank you so much dwheels76. You explained it very well!

Congrats Jayr&Kirstine!Wow our dates are so close. We might just have the same interview date too, Haha! Good luck to us! :)

Yeeeess! I'll follow you! I think we will receive first an appointment letter after 7 days from CC. Then, NVC will notify us that they already ship our docs to USEm. I am hoping we'll get an April interview. :) Yes, good luck and God bless to us!

Now you wait for interview. they already started April scheduling 2/27. You should call NVC to see if they are complete with your embassy. I know for your country its a bit different because of the typhoon and all the expedites.

If you did miss April. May scheduling should start last week of this month.

Yes, will call by tomorrow if they ship our docs to USEm already. So, you think because of expedites it might cause backlogs? And by the way, how many days from case complete for NVC to email me the appointment letter? Thank you so much! I hope I get an April interview.

Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

i got an email saying

"Your Case Status: Initial Review"

The I130..was transferred and is now being proce4ssed at a USCIS office.  Your will be notified by mail when a decision made, or if the office needs something from you".

This must mean they have started my review.  I was originally at the NBC, then recently transferrred to Cali.

Same as ours. And we recently transferred to CSC too.

I did the same - don't panic too much, you sent exactly what they ask for on the I-130 form! Some people send a lot more (they call it front-loading). We didn't do this as we just went exactly to the letter of what they asked for. We are prepared for if we get an RFE asking for more evidence (we have stacks of it!) And an RFE isn't a denial, and least your file will be on someone's desk if you do get one. Deep breaths! :)

Ditto! At least I can breath now! Thanks

Can someone pls update me how many persons one can sponsor?

My father-in-law has already sponsored 2 persons, thus can he sponsor me also?

What is going to be his household size in that case? will it be 2 (both partners) + 2 (already sponsored) + 1 (me ) = 5

If yes, then how much income he should have?

i got this data from some post but its for 2011:

1 household member: $10,890
2 household members: $14,710
3 household members: $18,530
4 household member: $22,350
5 household members: $26,170
6 household member: $29,990
7 household member: $33,810
8 household member: $37,630

As what I have learned from my seminar anyone can sponsor as to many person as long as he or she can manage to it.

Ours was also just the certified true copy from the civil registrar. One filer from phils also sent the same, was approved and is now in the NVC stage (forgot his username though).. I think nvc really requires the nso copy but for uscis, it may depend on the person reviewing ur case.

And thanks klpv for the info! :)

That's what I thought so. During NVC stage we need to get those stuffs authenticated by NSO.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril 2013 I-130 Filers

Well just be ready with all your documents if in case you get an RFE. Be sure to have your birth cert, marriage cert, cenomar/cemar from NSO; your NBI clearance and have them authenticated in DFA. My husband sent an authenticated marriage cert with the I-130 packet. And the rest I have them ready with me for NVC stage and for the interview at the USEM. smile.png

Yes. I have everything except for the NBI coz it should be ready 2 months before the interview. Thank you by the way!

Omg. No.. Just the marriage certificate from the city hall. Uh oh.

Just pray that thats not going to be the case, ive read from an old post here that he only sent a marriage cert and he wasnt asked for any other docs, he was approved.

But after reading what LoveMyTico sent for proof, im starting to get worried too yikes! I feel like we didnt send enough..?

Yep. I've read a lot of posts that those pictures and stuff are not needed during USCIS stage and they get approved. Oh good Lord, please! :( I'm worried already. Ugh

I'm afraid ours will get deny too. We sent 3 affidavit and marriage certificate. That's what our agency adviced us. We didn't send pictures, call or chat logs. Ugh. :(

I haven't heard much good news about CSC. Saw people talking about it as it never works... Hope that's not true! And I sincerely doubt it being true. Since you are from the Philippines, your case is auto expedited.
Maybe reading April threads will give you more knowledge about CSC. There are lots of transfers and approvals there!

I hope that's not true. Thank you I'll check on their thread. Take care!

Please take a look at the March transfers and April transfers spreadsheets. These show who has been transferred, when the transfer occurred, where the petition was transferred to, and NOA2 date if applicable. The majority of these petitions are still awaiting further action, including some that were transferred 5+ weeks ago.

Thank you!

USCIS says you will hear a decision or a request for ref within 60days after the transfer. Now, it depends on which service center you got transferred to. From March and April filers, they got approval pretty much between 2-4 weeks after being transferred to Nebraska. Also Texas, within a month. Anyways, the worst case, you will wait for 2 months. Still a step closer! Congrats!

And thank you for the info. Looks like they are gonna start on June cases. Hope to hear more June movements soon! And, do we have a spreadsheet or something like that to record transfers and make out a trend, like the April and May filers?

I got transferred to Califirnia Service Centre. How's the processing there? Thank you!

I am in my group chatting with another guy that is going through the same process. We both live fairly close to the CSC here and he happens to know someone there. Central said that they received a flood of expedite requests for people who filed with Philippines beneficiaries after Yolanda Typhoon. The office decided to move Philippines cases first -- That's hope for us that are filed with our Filipinas.

Did they request for an expedite? Or the USCIS just prioritize beneficiary from philippines?

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. Hi everyone. My hubby just called USCIS yesterday. The girl said they are processing October 2012. My hubby asked if she can give an estimate processing time in our case she answered 10 months or sooner. She said as the time goes by it will be sooner and later because every service center will pull out petition to process.

I'm from Cebu, Philippines. Experiencing a lot of strong aftershocks from last October 15 M7.2 earthquake. Just this morning a very strong aftershock woke me and my family up. I mean like, 6 days of agony with these aftershocks. It's making me sad, scared and worried. I hope me and my hubby will get united before anything else. (You know what I mean) and can even create a little family. I may sound dramatic. I'm just so paranoid with the things going on here. Asking for your prayers folks. I hope and pray that our petition wil get approve this year. Take care guys!

My case never was transferred and I was approved on October 23rd. I am a May filer. Just stay on them and don't give up. We pay too much money for our families to join us. Call your congress person call them EVERY week. Basically get on their nerves like they are getting your nerves and something should happen. If you sit and do nothing it makes their job much easier to just take your money. Make them work for that paycheck.... I was border line harrassing them (a joke) hey it worked. smile.png Good Luck, stay strong, and have faith.

Didn't you receive email from USCIS regarding your request? If so, what did they email to you?
