Does this mean i guessed and sent the right information?Funny thing about it, they got my updated i-129f on july 6th,2009.So, should i just ignore the rfe i will get in the mail, since i got this email?

I find it amazing how slow it takes for them to send mail and update things. They said they sent the rfe on July 2,2009.Are they using bubba's mule to drop off mail?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports4 touches in a row
Well, i got another touch today after exactly 30 days since my last touch july 15th and 35 days since my case resumed july 10th from a rfe.

I droped off my release consent for the senator office aug 11th.I am going to give them a call next tuesday and see if they know anything.I wish this process wasnt so hidden and everything was in plan sight.Without keep you guessing. And most of all consistant. Not this couple has to wait 1 year, and this one only waits 2 months.

Anyways, so what do you think is happening now?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports4 touches in a row
Well its been 22 days since my last touch.I called nvc and they havent gotten anything.Do you really have to wait 60 days after you you case starts back up frok a rfe?I also contacted my senator and was told they would send me a release form to look into the case.Havent gotten that yet either, sounds like a trend?

I am going back to see my honey in Sept, and i would love to be able to bring a copy of the noa2 with me.So, she can atleast go to her medical and get that out the way.

What do you guys think?I my case resumed on July 10th,from a rfe.I got 4 touches in a row, last was July 15th,and 22 days have passed and notta.Could it been approved and just sitting in a basket waiting for a group to be mailed out?

SamAndDorothyMalePhilippines2009-08-06 16:23:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports4 touches in a row
In the last 4 days, i have had a touch everyday, even on a sunday.I hope that is a good sign that my noa2 is coming.I still never got my rfe in the mail, but i did get a email saying my case resumed.I guessed and sent them a fresh i-129f.I guess they never sent it out.

My question is if they sent me a email on the 2nd about a rfe, they got my responce on the 6th.And sent me a email on the 10 saying my case was resumed. So,they must not send the mail out the day they send the email saying you got a rfe?If they did i would have gotten it by now.

Anyways, i am thankfull something is going on with my paperwork.Anyone else experienced so many touches together?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports200+ days and counting, NOA2 please?

I agree with what everyone else has said. Do all you can as far as e-mailing, calling and following up. Things do get lost. We had combo/card from Aug 2012-April 2013. In May I called to see what happened to the green card. They filed a inquiry and we had the green card within 10 days! So it is important to keep calling but PATIENCE is the hardest part of this.

During the waiting period from the time we applied for the K-1 and his arrival, it seemed like centuries. Now when I say we filed in Aug, interviewed in February and he was here in April, it seems so quick. It's all perspective. Stay busy, use the time to prepare!  Now that he's here, we both work so hard, that sometimes we laugh and wish for our "online" time when we had eyes only for each other! hahahah...it's all worth it. Good luck!

PhilippinesWithdrawal of Application
QUOTE (MercyandBill @ Mar 21 2009, 05:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Does anyone know what this means legally or what can be done about it?

My Fiancée was railroaded into signing a Withdrawal of Application on Feb.10 at her second interview at the Manila Embassy. Four other Fiancées where given the same treatment the same day and all signed the Withdrawal of Applications. All were given the same all day treatment by four separate investigators. This cannot be an isolated incident. They must be doing it to a lot of fiancées. My fiancée signed for completely bogus reasons and did not even read the papers that were given to her She said that she just wanted to get out of there so bad that she would have signed anything so I am not completely sure what she had signed. She is a simple farm girl from Eastern Samar and very sweet. She was to busy bawling when she came out of the interview to make much sense out of what she said.

I am absolutely furious about how they treated her.

Does anyone know what recourse we have and can she Withdraw her Withdrawal. They threatened her with her being investigated and possibly going to jail if they found anything and I asked her what she would go to jail for and she did not really know maybe she thought for filing for a Visa and I asked her where the jail was and she thought maybe it was in the back of the Embassy.

It is not right what they are doing and by what I can tell it is not correct by USCIS Guidelines also.

see;http://www.fletc.gov/training/programs/legal-division/the-informer/research-by-subject/miscellanious/aliencriminalwithoutconviction.pdf

In my fiancées case she committed no violation of the law but because of her kind and gentle nature she was talked into admitting to a crime she did not commit and I think they are doing this to a lot of Filipinos.

It says in the guidelines that an adequate definition of the crime must be explained in understandable terms including all essential elements and an explanation of the crime in understandable terms and neither of these were explained to her. I am not much for getting her off on a technicality when she did nothing wrong and the only ones that did anything wrong was the US Embassy. But it may help the many, many of others that are being railroaded I believe every day.

She had an over zealous interrogator that just wanted to get admissions no matter what it took.

If you have advice for us or you want to tell us of your experiences with the second interview. Or if your Fiancée got railroaded also please post it here. I have been doing a lot of research on this subject and I have found some interesting case law on the subject and I would like to hear your responses.

Angeles City is too far from Eastern Samar to be a waitresssss??? of all places?? you can be a waitress in other places like cebu or tacloban? I think US embassy conducted a backdround investigation before interview and they found out something about the history of your fiancee. Are you sure she was not a prostitutes before you met her? Well, if you really love her, go to the phils. and stay there longer and investigate. If she really honest with you she will tell you the truth. Maybe by staying there will help for her application of visa next time. Good luck to you and your fiancee.

I disagree. I finished my 2 degrees in the province and I am confident with my English skills. I know a lot of people who studied in the province and are now very successful on their own fields.

Please try not to make any generalizations.

On the other hand, Filipinos put high value on education. No one can take it away from us. But this does not mean that we can look down on other people who do not have a college degree.

QUOTE (melissa/martin @ Mar 27 2009, 04:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello guys! My husband and I are going to the Philippines next week mainly because he wanted to have his teeth done there. He needs to have a new bridge and a replacement one. It is damn expensive here in the USA and our dental insurance is not really good. Here it would cost more or less $4000 now that's a lot of money. So we decided to just do it in the Philippines and of course visit my family as well. This might be the last visit for me because we are planning to save money. Just sharing smile.gif

Now, I'm being pressured by my friends and relatives to give them 'pasalubong' -sigh- we don't really have a lot of money and if it wasn't urgent we wouldn't go to the Philippines at all. I want to tell them we have no money and trying to save as much as possible and not spend too much on this trip. I'm not planning to buy a lot of pasalubongs. Don't wanna be treated as a wealthy balikbayan because I'm not. We both are. They just don't understand how hard it is to live here. -sigh-

There will be an ATM Charge on the account for the transaction but State Farm bank will REFUND all ATM Fees within 24 hours of the transaction.

Yes, this is how we currently do it.

Also, They have a high daily limit ($1,000) whereas most DEBIT Cards are capped to $500 per day. This is good when you need to send a lot quickly.

PhilippinesHow to Send Money to your Fiancee/Wife in PH for FREE!
QUOTE (Bob 4 Anna @ Apr 22 2009, 05:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It's a lot easier than most people think.

Get a Checking account with State Farm Bank, they are an online only bank.

Now you have two options:

Option 1:
Easiest, ask them two issue to DEBIT cards in your name. They will and each will have a unique number. Don't activate one and mail it to her in a birthday/holiday card.

Once she receives it go ahead and activate it then give her the PIN.

Tell State Farm Bank that one of the cards is for use in the Philippines so they don't block her withdrawls.

Option 2:
Add her as a joint to your account. This will require a W-8BEN and some work on your part plus you will have to explain to them that she can't be authenticated yet as she's not in the US. It's more work but worth it to have a joint account in the US (demonstrates comingling of financials).

Now have them issue both of you DEBIT Cards, they'll mail them to your US address. Don't active her's, mail it in the card.

Once she receives it you need to make a 3 way call with her on the line to State Farm Bank (man I love MagicJack), explain that she can't be authenticated bah blah, a little work, they'll see the notes, blah blah... The rep will agree to activate the card and she can customize the pin.

Why is State Farm Better than your bank down the street? Well they refund 100% of the ATM Fees! Since they are an Internet only bank they acknowledge your only access to cash is the ATM and refund the fees.

So there you go, Free money Transfer to PH for US!

BTW, wake a note of the card number before you sen it to her, just incase it's lost stolen or "something else" happens so you can easily cancel it.

really? did you try it already? without charges upon withdrawal in the philippines? thanks for the info. smile.gif

The cousin is 17 years old and Seattle2Cebu is 50. He is currently residing in Cebu and has plans to marry her when she turns 18 in October. He didn't bring enough money with him to Cebu and has been posting requests for help on another site.

sad.gif poor guy...because he didn't listen to any advice and suggestion on this post.

to you seattle, go home. you have a nice life here in the US. your "aillen" or whatever her name is not worth it. you are just wasting your time and money to her. remember your Ex-Fiance and her are "COUSINS" as in "COUSINS" A FAMILY!!! listen to the people who gave you adviced. you said you are "retarded"? yes, you are. use your head and open your eyes. good luck.

PhilippinesRetiring in the Philippines

Good Luck.
