K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRFE received... what about the remaining time??
yuuuppppiiiii
this morning I got two same emails :

I-129F
MSC - - - - - - - - - -

"On July 26, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in
this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

I'm happy that they received both of them (we sent them in the same letter).

i'm very eager to receiver the NOA2. So far, what's the average remaining time to get the NOA2 ?? give me plz just an idea !!

Good luck for All

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswaiting for I-129F email approval...
Hi everybody,
it's been 12 days since we got the ''RFE-received email '', and after comparing a couple of JV members timelines, i see that the happy news of the I-129F approval happens between 2-3 weeks after that email... i hope that it'll be the case for us, too.
Can anybody tell us what papers/forms should my husband (USA) and me (Morocco) start gathering/preparing so as to save time? can we start now or is it still early?
thanks in advance for any suggestion

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDo K3's get EAD at jfk on I-94????

No, it does not depend on the state of residence. I-765 applications are processed on a national basis at the National Benefits Center in Missouri, independent of state of residence.

Thanks Yodrak for clarifying me this point :)

1) Adjust in US from the K-3 2) Return for the CR-1 interview. They both grant the same thing.

ok, let's assume that we'll do the adjustment in USA... should my husband continue the NVC chart (payment of bills & I-864) EVEN before my arrival?? or should he wait till i'll be there?? i.e won't we pay the same thing twice in the first choice??

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F vs I-130 !! your hekp plz
Thanks Yodark for your usual quick answer.

Yes, my husband paid the AOS Bill and he received the I-864 package.

- If you want to adjust status rather than go back to your country for an immigrant visa interview, apply to adjust status after you arrive in the USA.

do you mean, that if we want to choose the above option, we shouldn't pay the I-864 and WAIT till i arrive to USA and start the adjustment of status?!!

If you want to go back to your country for an immigrant visa interview rather than apply to adjust status, then do that. It seems that your husband has paid the fees already.

i.e We continue with the papers as it is explained in the NVC chart... ok, so how long this option takes? from NVC till interview at the embassy?? ... just an idea!!

thanks

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F vs I-130 !! your hekp plz
Hello everybody,

I have a couple of questions and I need your help please :help:

Our I-130 was approved on 08-21-2006 (the I-129F was approved in the same day, too, and it was forwarded to Casablanca)

I (the alien) received the « Choice of Agent form » - i sent it back and chose my husband who lives in USA as my agent.

We are following the NVC chart, but we are a bit confused  … Sometimes, we wonder if we are going in the « right » track or not?!!

Now we are less than a week to my I-129F interview in Casablanca (October 19th) … If everything goes well with my interview, I’ll travel to USA by December

For my husband’s side, he sent back the AOS Bill payment. He received also the I-184 affidavit of support package and he’ll send it back in the next couple of days!!

What should the next step be? Should my husband continue following the petitioner track as it is explained at the NVC Process Flowchart??

Or should we abandon and wait till my arrival to USA to start the Adjustment of status process?

We need your help because we are a bit confused and we don’t know what we should do???

Many Thanks for all

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaFor people from Ecuador, please read
Sorry...I guess I am butting in because neither me nor my fiance are from Ecuador...but I don't think going as a single female to a foreign country alone is a good idea. Let me clarify that statement. Going as a single female to visit a male that you've never met in a foreign country ALONE is not a good idea. I can see if she had already met him and knew people who knew this guy...but she has no idea of his character. What happens if she gets over there and he is not a good person??? I don't know but I think it is a bad idea. Unless she knows in her heart that he is who he says he is...if she has no red flags or anything...then MAYBE she should go. I know for me that I had already met my fiance and I knew people who knew him and I knew his character...but even then...when I went down to Nicaragua for a month, I was very nervous because I didn't know his family or anything. I felt so comfortable being there though because I trusted him and I had him to lean on. (I did bring a friend with me who stayed for a week.)I would just be soooo careful if I were her. Sorry for intruding...but it worried me to think of your friend going down to Ecuador alone...alicia

I'm not sure if it is the same for I-130 as it is for I-129F, but all of the I-129F that are submitted to Texas are transferred to CSC...maybe someone else knows...but I think it is normal. alicia

Our interview is scheduled for April 20, but mu hubby has only visited once. He stayed from Jun 18 2008 to July 27 2008 and we were married during that time. Since then he hasn't visited, but we have kept records of our Yahoo Messenger conversations and we've spent time together online every day. We've also exchanged cards and gifts through mail.

Do we have reason to fear being denied since he hasn't visited, even though we have kept in regular contact with each other?

Also his job and his school is at risk if he go here to pick me and jin me in the interview. He is working as after school tutor ans studying at the same time. He's graduating on june so his prof's are strict. If he pick me due to that reason his willing. But as a wife i feel guilty taking him away of his job and school and puting his career at risk.

If he lose job then how can he support me..

Please help me and give me advice..

Your husband is not required to be with you on your interview. Just make sure that you have all the documents with you, pictures of you together and be prepare on the questions. It is important to have his job to support you here..No need to pick you up just have a his complete address and telephone numbers before leaving and give your family in the phils. a copy too. just in case. Im sure he will be at the airport of your destination to welcome you. Good Luck to your interview..

QUOTE (soulmateko @ Mar 26 2009, 10:24 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello!!! everyone!

Just very depressed..this is regarding my problem last time.I changed status in my passport to my married name,a month before I learned from the lawyer my husband hired that the paper that was passed to the NVC was still in my maiden name,so that would automatically require that the passport that i should have be in my maiden name.I inquire about this at the DFA office, they said that I can no longer changed back my passport from married to maiden again.

I was hopefull this past few days because i thought if we just have to call NVC and the embassy and let them know they can tell us an option.Yes, we called NVC and they said ther is no problem.only they don't know how Philippine embassy reacts to it.It was like lifting me up and pulling me down feeling.

Just today, my husband informed me that the lawyer honestly informed him that WITH my husband's married name used in my new passport,it would be very difficult.I was shocked! becaiuse a lawyer should know what to do in this kind of cases..but it turned out the lawyer can't be of help..after all the time we've waited..i guess it's a dead-end for us already

(i already received a confirmation letter from the embassy stating i can call for an interview date,WE were almost to the finish line..but this bomb RUIN it!)

I am humbly asking for an advice to people here ..please..enlighten me..what else could I possibly do?
I need to hear any opinions about it or perhaps people who have experience the same situation..

Whatever advice you guys can give would be very helpful..Thank you!

just bring your old passport, ID's with your maiden name, any documents that can prove the CO that you are the same appearing for the interview. Good luck...

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHola people! Llegué hace poco y necesito hablar españooool!

Hola Meghan!

Gracias a Dios. Me puedes ofrecer unos consejos? :help:

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHola people! Llegué hace poco y necesito hablar españooool!
Bienvenida Karina,
Enahorabuena!
¿Has estado alguna vez aqui? ¿Es dificil acostumbrarse aqui ó es un shock cultural?

Espero que te encuentres todo bien aqui en EEUU y que todos tus sueños se cumplan aqui en tu nueva vida! :)
