K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I hate VSC/NVC	Well, Just to cheer everyone up we got in touch with Senator Collins office in Maine, and within 15 minutes she located my petition, they promised to take it out of the 'storage facility' its in (that they already wrote me a letter to promise me its not in), and as a bonus she requested they expedite it to make up some of the delay! So, as I was told and others have said - if you get any grief from the NVC your senator is the person to go to. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Return receipt	If you mailed a personal check and have online banking, you can view the cancelled check. Somtimes the case number is on the back. It starts with 3 letters. Mine was WAC. Once you have the case number you can register at the USCIS site for updates. A lot of filers take 10 days or more for the NOA1 snail mail. I wouldn't worry at this point. If you call customer service they will tell you to wait 30 or 45 days before they will take a look into it. Good Luck, and don't worry - you will make progress! i send out my i-129f petition tomorrow, but i forgot who do I make out the check? To USICS or Department of Homeland Security? Ok so im excited that i have sent my petition today to the VSC, i know they are the quickest so i THANK GOD i live under their jurisdiction., Now i was just wondering how do i know when i get a NOA1 , when is touched, or etc?. do i get mail notifications, emails, or what thanks You will get the noa1 in the regular mail. At which time you can create an account at the uscis site with the case number. Then you can monitor the "last updated" date to see if your case was touched. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 petition forwarded from Texas to California sv center	Which is faster, a turtle, a snail or CSC? I guess neither. It's a tie between the turtle and snail. Yeah it's stupid. You have to send it to the service center as it says in the directions (in your case Texas), but all cases except those in Vermont, end up at California. Theres nothing to worry about. Texas and Nebraska simply no longer handle I-129fs, but they never updated the instructions to reflect this because, well, the USCIS doesn't know how to update instructions or something. I think they haven't changed the instructions because in the future, all of the service centers will once again process all types of visa applications and the problem is they don't know when. The fees are going up(or did they already go up?) so maybe that has something to do with it. The bad news is that won't happen until after our time. The good news is that if/when that does happen, it will take the burden off cali and speed up process times for our future visajourney brothers and sisters. This is just my theory. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	My NOA: not touched?	I've recieved my NOA 1 on April 3rd. I've signed up on the USCIS for email updates. I've seen that some VJ member's timelines and mostly their NOA were "touched" a couple of days after recieving it. Its been almost 2 wks since I got mine but so far no "touched" messages have arrived. So how does that work? Does it actually says "touched" on the status or VJ members just put it like that or is it official message from the USCIS dept... The "last updated" date will change. I've only had 2 one week visits. one in September and one a couple of weeks ago. other than that, our case is flawless. any comments? It's the same case with me and Marlon. I spent 9/10 days with him on each visit (2 visits) but I am not too worried about it. Nor should you be! Granted he and I don't talk on the phone a whole lot, we still text message each other a couple of times a week as well as rely on postal mail. I think that USCIS needs to understand that not everyone is rich and able to spend alot of money as well as time in another country. Uncle Sam makes it difficult enough to pay bills!
