K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Got it	I was visiting my fiancee in Nicaragua this week. On Teusday I just happened to leave my cell fone on while driving with her. Phone rang..my lawyer. Approved!! And my fiancee was sitting right next to me........what a nice way to find out. Thanks for VJ forum. 5/19 to 10/12.with 2 RFE's , one was IMBRA and the other just a missing paper. Wow..finally! CONGRATS!!! Can you fill me in on the timeframe of the way things happened for you?! My fiance is from Nicaragua, also...this is the first time I see a post from someone with a Nicaraguan fiance... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA1...Yay!!	Hi everyone! So, maybe I was a little hasty in posting "NOA1...Where's Mine?!" because our NOA1 arrived Friday, October 20th via snail mail. No email updates or anything. Not that that would have helped because our internet went out for a few days...but I am happy to report that we now have our NOA1. The actual date is October 16th...AND the check was cashed. YES!!! Thanks guys...I'll keep you posted. So, I just wanted to know how long did it take you to get a "touch"?! Does the glitch in California's notification system affect the case updates online? What I mean to say, is it pointless for me to check for a touch if it will never show up? Thanks guys. Aside from that, you can twiddle your thumbs, whistle, twirl your hair aournd your finger, check your status on the USCIS website 5 times a day, gripe about how slow the process is... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Denied Tourist Visa Will Affect K-1?	A denied tourist visa means that it was denied at the embassy/consulate where he applied. A denied entry would mean that he was denied entry at a POE, which would be more serious. Since your fiance was denied a tourist visa, it does not seem that bad unless if you guys lie. My fiance was also denied a tourist visa about 2 years ago. He intended to get such a visa, so that he could come and visit the U.S. to see me. However, for the same reasons your fiance was denied, my Juan was also denied, he was a young college student, no strong ties to Mexico, etc. However when you file all of the forms, make sure to include all of this information so that it doesn't cause problems and you should be okay. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Denied Tourist Visa Will Affect K-1?	In May of 2006 my fiance applied for a tourist visa in Managua, Nicaragua. The US embassy denied him the visa obviously because he is a 23 year old male without strong ties to his country. Will this affect our K-1 process? I have heard some people say that denied entry could cause problems. Was a denied tourist visa the same as denied entry? On the question on the I-129F that asks how we met I explained the following (paraphrased): We met in 2005...waited a year. I tried to get him to meet my parents in the US in 2006 but they denied him the visa so I went to Nicaragua for a month. I was honest and wrote all of that in the explanation of our meeting. My case has finally been received at NVC and was given a case number!!! # CDJ-------------- Now it is off to Mexico in the next 5 days! WOOHOO!!!!! I was looking at your timeline and wanted to tell you about my experience with CSC.....I would advise you to not get discouraged if you go 2-3 months with nothing. No touch or anything. I got nothing for 2 months. But, when I finally did get touched, I was approved 2 days later. So it is almost like they did nothing with my case for 2 months and then wham! we got approved. I hope you have no RFE's or anything. Remember to be patient and things will be fine! Good Luck! CONGRATULATIONS!!! FELICIDADES!!!! Thanks for your encouragement...I'm going through CSC (originally TCS)...and my NOA1 was October 16.
