PhilippinesNBI..quick question

Hi everyone!

Good day! Just a quick question about NBI clearance in Phil. My fiancee is from Philippines.
But she currently living and working in Macau for 15 yrs already.. She's been married before but and marriage annulled 5 yrs ago she never use her married name ..means she never amend any of her document like passport or ID in Macau she is single in all her document...So my question is when she get the NBI clearance in Philippines does she need to get with her married name or single? Just confused.
I know someone knows about this especially the one from Philippines..I will appreciate it. Thanks a lot!

Mr.Grey

This caught me thinking.
But, you see you will be dealing with immigration process, and she will have to secure that annulment decree, that means, she should get a copy of NBI clearance that was on her married name.

However, every year NBI clearance exprires, so whatever she is using now as her name.. might as well proceed to that.

PhilippinesI-864 and I-864A Questions

Here's the scenario.
My Mom-in-law is the joint sponsor. We will be staying at their house when we move to the US. Please let me know if the following are correct:

a. My mom-in-law only needs to accomplish I-864A since she's also a household member. Correct!

b. My mom-in-law does NOT need to fill out I-864. Correct!

c. My dad-in-law has to fill out I-864A as well since he is a household member. No Need. Since he is not the co-sponsor.

d. I have to notarize the I-864A forms. No Neeed.

Thanks everyone! This is so frustrating. We've paid the fees a couple of months ago and still have not sent the AOS forms!

Hi there to you just read your topics in here. I've been annulled since 2009. Finished it for almost 8 months without hassle. Sometimes its hard to talk to a lawyer directly specially if you don't know somebody. Im from Cainta but I've done my annulment at Pasay City kse mbilis don. And I am thankful that there is somebody I met there that working mismo sa court so I never had a problem at all. Right now, my sister is starting her annulment too with the same court branch. Wla kanang problem kse sila na ang magha2nap ng lawyer and psychiatrist mo. The only thing you have to do is wait for the 4 appearances on the court....I mean you can go once nman if you want on the final court day lng.

That's all I can help to you and I hope that this will give you relief.. God Bless!

Are you comfortable to mention the cost for the whole process sis?
I have to tell my friend about this too.

Philippineschange of address for GC holders
I have filed COA already for 4 times since I had to stay in other state for my work purposes. Every time you move and settle to a new place, you have to change your address if you are a GC holder.
You have 10 days to file the COA upon your arrival in the new address.

PhilippinesDoes anyone know any online dating sites where you can meet Americans looking for a wife in the Philippines.

Does anyone know any online dating sites where you can meet Americans.
I am Filipino and I'm married to a Filipino-American.
I'm trying to find a boyfriend for my sister and for my best friend.
I moved here in the U.S. last year and I already have my GC (conditional).
Just wonderin' if anyone here knows a good dating site? ;)
Hope I don't sound desperate! haha!
Thank you! ;)

I would say this post is quite inappropriate to openly advertise oneself to act as a fixer for a relationship.
This totally voids the very reason of finding a true love.
You can't bring everybody in the United States just because they are a member of your family or a friend especially sending them to a dating site to meet an American.
This is one from countless reasons why we usually get judged by other people or race that we find someone to use as a ticket to the United States.

Philippineshelp about my divoced and what visa to apply

Not true. The Family Code of the Philippines is clear:

http://www.chanroble...eorderno209.htm

Art. 26. All marriages solemnized outside the Philippines, in accordance with the laws in force in the country where they were solemnized, and valid there as such, shall also be valid in this country, except those prohibited under Articles 35 (1), (4), (5)and (6), 3637 and 38. (17a).
Where a marriage between a Filipino citizen and a foreigner is validly celebrated and a divorce is there after validly obtained abroad by the alien spouse capacitating him or her to remarry, the Filipino spouse shall have capacity to remarry under Philippine law. (As amended by Executive Order 227)

Not reporting a marriage celebrated abroad to the NSO does not make a Filipino citizen single in the eyes of Philippine law. If a Filipino citizen marries anywhere in the world, then he or she is considered married in the Philippines.

Having said that, lynchang's second marriage is null and void because she married without an approved Judicial Recognition of a Foreign Divorce Decree which I understand she is in the process of doing now.

Lynchang, while waiting for the court to decide your Judicial Recognition of a Foreign Divorce Decree, I suggest you already consult a lawyer to start the process of annulling your second marriage. Your American husband/fiance cannot start the petition process until you are legally free to marry.

Below are links that might help in cases like yours.

http://jlp-law.com/b...divorce-decree/

http://www.gtalawphi...101_divorce.htm

This should answer all the question of the OP.

to the OP, You have to have your Divorced decree be recognized first in the Philippines, in this case, your marriage to your second husband is null and void.
Since you never really secure an authentic NSO CENOMAR, that allows you to marry your USC man, that marriage is gone with the wind.

PhilippinesMedical Exam Problem

She went to her medical exam at St. Lukes and was told she needed a sputum test. So she had her appointment on the 20th of August resheduled :( indefinately until sputum lab results come back. She will be taking the sputum test on 16, 17, 18 August.

Can anyone give me an idea of how this process works and how long it takes for results to come back?

They told her two months--but so far everything, luckily, has been a lot less waiting times then the 'advertised' waiting times.

Basically, St Lukes will get a Sputum sample, then it will take 2 months before they'd know if she has an active TB or not. If she has an active TB, she will then need to have that 6-month treatment process in St. Lukes. That she has to be there everyday to take the medicine from them. In other way, if sputum test turns out to be negative, then she can proceed to have an interview at the embassy.
Good luck!

PhilippinesCustoms Taxes at Philippine Postal Service
I have no complain when it comes to sending stuffs domestic here in the US, BUT!, when your packages landed Philippines, nightmare begins. This has happen to me 2 years ago when my then fiance' ,now husband sent me this Christmas gifts that came in a package; he sent it 25 days before Christmas but customs confirmed that my stuffs is in their holding department after 32 days. (including my endless phone calls asking about this confirmation number) Then, when I picked the package up, I was charged way too much for it since it has an electronic device (a USB!!!) Now, If I didn't play with their game, I would have paid the amount they are asking from me, But when I told them I am just a student, and my parents don't even know I have an american boyfriend, the collecting person just said, "ok, just slip whatever amount you have in that log book". What a shame!

PhilippinesQuestion about Medical - St. Luke's
I was there today as well to have my medical.. I was asked to go back tomorrow for my vaccines. Too bad, I don't recognize your face Marriedtomrg and Somedaysomehow. I arrived at like 11:45 AM and I was out at St Lukes at 3:11 PM. I had a very smooth medical examination. (God has been with me always!)

My question is, do they normally return the passport on the first day?
and if they asked you to have the vaccines, does this mean I passed the medical? wacko.gif

PhilippinesMedical exam again?
I see.
I have insufficient knowledge on that. But IMOHO, I think the medical is still valid if its below 6 months upon her interview. All she has to do is to present her appointment letter or approval notice at St Lukes and St Luke's staff will extract her previous medical reports.
Then prolly, they will forward another copy of her medical results to USEM.

PhilippinesMedical exam again?
Yes, because I believe its beyond 6 months already since the last time she had her medical at St. Lukes. And she had a different Case number, the only thing that she will not undergo anymore was the shots. But if she had her HPV vaccine before, I guess she can take the next shot for it.

I have one question: what if you don't have your vaccination card from local health center/hospital and you don't know what vaccination you had, does it mean you will get all of that at St. Luke's?

Thanks!

You don't need to present the vaccination card. I think just ask your mom about your immunization history. The doctor just asked me if I got the BCG vaccine, the one that left a mark in your left/right shoulder and if you got chicken pox before, she will ask you to show some marks from it.. All the Glory and Praise for Him!

I'm very happy to share my medical experience with everyone. My first day was very smooth. I arrived at St. Lukes at around 11:40ish AM and I was out of St. Lukes at around 3:11 PM. yay! good 3 hours. I was asked to go back the next day (today) for my vaccinations.

TIPS
.
? I would suggest to those who will have their medical soon to go at St Lukes after lunch since people aren't much crowded. Though the guard will give you the flowchart of the medical exam, it was not followed in my case since St. Lukes people reshuffles the patients to go to a different department to lessen the waiting time.

?Never wear earrings on your 2x2 pics they will ask you to submit a picture with no earrings at the releasing counter on your 2nd day. ( I think I missed this info so I was wearing earrings. wacko.gif )

?avoid the fixers outside St. Lukes.

And on my 2nd day, I arrived at like 12:45 PM. The guard typed my PDS (patient data sheet) number at the computer to check if I am indeed for immunization and he stamped my receipt "for immunization" 2nd floor.

There, I gave my receipt of the medical fee at the immunization counter. I waited for like 2.5 hours just be called and have the vaccines. Namely, MMR, Tdap, and Anti-Cervical Cancer.
Be very attentive, because you will be called via intercom speaker not the one who is calling names on the counter.
After I got my vaccines, Hey it was 3 shots! ( I was really teary when I went out of immunization room because I'm seriously afraid of needles.. laughing.gif ) I was instructed to go at the ground floor and wait for my name to be called again.. After 30 minutes, I was called and proceeded to counter A, I signed some medical papers. Then I went back to my seat and I again waited for my name to be called for releasing. At the releasing, they gave me the Xray CD. The lady told me that they will just forward my medical results to the USEM.

I walked home around 4:30ish PM with a big smile in my heart. Thank you Lord! I passed the tedious medical.

TIPS
?Take breakfast or lunch before you proceed on your immunization since you will really wait for a long time before you get called.

?Bring jacket. It became so cold just seating for a couple of hours.

?Be attentive esp when you are at the releasing section . The mic was very muffled I hardly understand my name, and if your name got called and you missed it, they will put your papers aside and you have to follow it up dreadfully. One of my seatmates who were way ahead of my timetable missed the call and she was waiting and waiting for her name to be called and yet, I finished first before her.

So yeah, these are the info I can share to you. My arms are still painful from the 3 shots I received. crying.gif

Never stop praying!

It's very touching to see that in times like this, Filipinos are really one bind. I have been watching the news all day and look how companies really do contribute and working hand and hand for the benefit of our brothers and sisters in the affected areas. Kudos for the Philippine air force, and police, together with all those volunteer and other sectors for working until the wee hours.

I am praying for a good weather this coming days so the water would subside soon. So that our kababayans can go back to their homes.

We don't have proper drainage anymore. Bodies of water around the metro are now Malls. So where else the water will go? Moreover, because of the global warming, Philippine's sea level is really plunging rapidly as the years passes by.

What will the Filipinos should do if a much stronger typhoon comes a long the way? This really calls for voting wisely this coming Presidential election and hopefully the next president would actually care to do something in terms of defense for natural calamity.
