Philippinesdoes your filipina wife shaves her legs?
I am one of those believers that once you shave one hairy part of your body, the hair on that area will continuously thicken.
But, I shave anything that NEEDS to be shave in my body except my legs. I'm just afraid that my hair on my legs will be so thick.

Philippinesdoes your filipina wife shaves her legs?
I believe its pretty default for filipinas to have a silky fair skin. No hairs around the legs. Some girls are blessed with hairy legs but its pretty rare.I have unnoticeable hair around my arms. We call it in filipino word as-- Balbon.

PhilippinesDual Citizenship
Even though your wife has a long way to be a citizen of the US. She has to go communicate with the Philippine Embassy here in the US and process it. My aunt is a dual citizen but I am not so sure how she started it. I may have to ask her.

Philippineschange address?
I understand how stressful it is to wait for Visa. But if I would suggest to call the embassy and see if they can tell you what's going on with the VISA, then decide from there if you can stay few more days in the hotel or you just have to change your son's visa delivery address.

Babysitter abuses a baby

Before you hire someone have their background check and only get a nanny from a reputable agency. Search reviews in the internet about that agency to see if they are legal or has some bad feed back.

PhilippinesCase filed for a theft now in US

If he is already here in the US, there is not much the group can do. Although they can still file the case and there will be a standing warrant of arrest for him if he decides to come back for a vacation. Our Philippine government has no jurisdiction on him now being here..as long as he didnt commit any crime here in the US, he should have no problem adjusting his status.

Sorrt to hear about your mom's predicament

thank you Ms.Joms. Surely this is so disappointing to my mom's organization.

PhilippinesCase filed for a theft now in US

A pending case is just a pending case. Lalo dito sa America, he is innocent until proven guilty. Kahit may nakasampang kaso, you cannot force him to go back to the PI to appear in court dahil safe na siya dito sa US. Ang pwede lang magawa ng court sa Philippines is dagdagan ang kaso nya ng contempt of court kung di sya sisipot sa hearing. Pero paano din siya mase-serve ng summons ng Philippine court kung nandito na siya sa US? Since he is out of the Philippines, mahirap na siyang habulin. Also, even if he is convicted, the crime was committed in the Philippines. Since andito na siya sa US, although it may sound unfair, safe na siya kasi far as the US is concerned, wala siyang crime na na-commit dito sa US, unless na lang na may extradition request ang government natin pero pag mga estafa lang, baka nga hindi pa extraditable yun.

Sana mabasa ito ni "jom" she was a lawyer in the Philippines. She should be able to give a more credible reply.

what if may case na, and of course he needs to appear in the court... he will adjust his status and of course if there is a pending case against him, if the USCIS sees that, his adjustment of status can be probably put on hold?

PhilippinesCase filed for a theft now in US
My mom is a member of an public transportation organization in the Philippines. Their President stole money from the organization over 1 million pesos. The organization is now in the verge of filing a case against him but the concern is; he, his wife and son just arrived in the US couple of days ago. They were petitioned by his daughter.

Fellows, please help us gather info on what is the best way to do so that ####### would repay and able to face justice in the Philippines.

I told my mom to tell their lawyer to report his crime to the USCIS so that once he adjust status there is a flag on his name.
Is that a good idea?

Thank you.

Philippinesdivorce &annulment

hi perge!, well original price is 200k but bcoz i was referred by our provincial lawyer to his friend who is my lawyer now, i was discounted 30k, plus extra fee on other expenses... she is based in manila and have her own law firm... :star:

godsgift (L)

Aw, thank you. I have a friend kasi na she is married to a USC as well and they got married in the PI. She is no longer living with her husband and wanting to marry another guy. So I don't know if she needs to get an annulment first or just a divorce so she can remarry here in the US.

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-06-17 20:31:00
Philippinesdivorce &annulment

correct continue the process of annulment..

The existence of a valid divorce decree, however, does not automatically entitle the Filipino to remarry in the Philippines. The foreign divorce decree must be judicially recognized in the Philippines. This means that the proper action or petition must be filed in a Philippine court. For purposes of re-marriage, the divorce validly secured abroad is not automatically recognized here in the Philippines.

I was married in the Philippines and secured a divorce in the United States. Both of us are Filipinos and my spouse voluntarily signed the divorce papers. After the divorce, I married another guy, a former Filipino who had acquired U.S. citizenship. I am still a Filipino citizen. Is my previous marriage still valid in the Phils.?

Yes, the first marriage is still considered valid in the Philippines because divorce between Filipinos, wherever secured and even if with the consent of both spouses, is not recognized under Philippine laws. In other words, as far as the Philippines is concerned, the second marriage is null and void.

How much did you spent already for the whole annulment process?
Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-06-17 17:35:00
Philippinesdivorce &annulment
to put everything in short.

If you want to remarry someone again in the Philippines ---get an annulment.

If you want to remarry someone in the States, ---get a divorce.

Its either you do it or hire a lawyer that will cost you ungodly.
Just look and analyze the sample forms and you will get by. Most of us here did it by ourselves. Just double, triple check all the information before you send it to the service center so you won't screw up anything.
Good luck. :)

PhilippinesFilipina Traveling on Green Card

Note: You are still a citizen of the Philippines, you will need all visa's normally required by a Filipino to travel to the mentioned countries. However, having US Resident status will enable you to get a visa much easier.

I have traveled with before to Mexico,, and it did take a while for the local office to validate and issue a visa for the Philippine passport holder before we could travel to the interior.

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,

PhilippinesShould We Reshedule?

1. I need to be here the day of my wife's interview.

If you think that the situation is calling for your presence then, do it.

2. Does it make a great deal of difference in interview if the husband is there?

Yes! and No. Yes because it shows that you are the one on those pictures, and you are there as a moral support for her.
No, because it really depends on the gravity of the evidences that you guys presented. Sometimes there are unexpected happening that your presence has no control over it. (e.g problem with her documents)

3. I have not been in the Philippines in over a year and i wonder if that will be a red flag.

No. My husband and I haven't seen each other for 1 year and 2 months when I had my interview. So long your fiancee has all the documents she needs and proof of relationship too.

4. Do you need to re-schedule?

It depends on your answer on #1.

Good luck.

PhilippinesNAIA Terminal 1 waiting lounge

Hello everyone,

I already booked a flight to California this coming August 4 and my flight is around 10:30am through China Airlines. Since I'm from Davao and I want to go there the night before so I'm planning to purchase a last flight ticket on August 3 to avoid any delays i might encounter. my question is, can I wait or sleep inside the NAIA terminal 1 up until my 10:30am International flight?

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks,

Sure you can.

If you want to be safe, Check in early so you will be in the terminal you are suppose to be. Tell the guard about your situation I know they will understand it. But I don't think you will be able to sleep that good since people there comes and go so its really noisy. Why not rent a room for a night in one of the nearest Motel in the area for Php300 a night and if you are scared you will sleep through your flight time, sched a wake up call then ask the reception to call you for taxi.

Good luck and welcome to the USA!

Philippinesdoes anyone here sending western union online????
Western Union is little bit expensive than Xoom or Moneygram.
Compare fees from these 3 service providers.

My husband and I use Xoom to send money to the Philippines.
And there are some coupons available and being posted here in VJ to slash few bucks from the transfer fee.

PhilippinesAnybody familiar with LAX for the POE?
LAX was my POE and the officers there were pretty nice. As for me, I think wait for her in the arrival area after she gets out of her biometrics with the border officer. Basing from my memory, after her biometrics, she has walk to the left side of all the baggage area, and walk further then turn another left that would led her to the arrival area where you can wait for her.

I hope it helps.

PhilippinesLooking for pinoy in Pennsylvania

I've been to Penn State on Memorial day (just this year) and we will be there again to spend New Year to my husband's sister. We also have plan to live there maybe 2-3 yrs from now. I'm from Las Piñas and my hometown is in Nueva Ecija.

I was from Las Pinas too in Almanza Dos area, but now I'm here in Louisiana.

Just saw you were from LP so I thought of dropping by.

PhilippinesB1/B2 VISA ONLY 1 MONTH ALLOWED?

At the POE, the Immigration Officer asked your father how long he would want to stay. He then asked him to see the return ticket. The flight was booked on August 10, so he was allowed to spend all day 'til August 9 in the US and has to return on August 10.

Although an extension is possible, it's a lot of paperwork for nothing and not needed. If he leaves on the 10th, he's perfectly in compliance with the I-94 and does not accumulate any overstay.

Whew! what a relief! Thank you JBob.

Thank you for the replies!

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-07-21 15:10:00
PhilippinesB1/B2 VISA ONLY 1 MONTH ALLOWED?

Your uncle is in a catch 22 situation. It will take longer to get an extension than his stay. Contacting the POE may be the best option.

To me, the officer who stamped his passport is to be blame. Because I am quite sure that B1/b2 visa holders should be presenting their return ticket and that officer didn't stamp him the right date.

Another concern is, its gonna be hell of a ride to move his flight back to the Philippines a day after his scheduled date since his ticket was bought by the organization he is representing in.

I should impose him to call the PoE immediately to have his situation squared out.

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-07-21 14:57:00
PhilippinesB1/B2 VISA ONLY 1 MONTH ALLOWED?

Why not go back and ask your uncle be extended. If you feel that he is being discriminated, then voice your concern. This is a free country.

I was even thinking of that too. But he will be coming over here at our house for 6 days from Chicago then I can just help him find ways to be extended. From here in Louisiana, he will be flying in NY to visit another family member then from there he will fly back home.
I asked him too to call JFK's DHS and ask if he will indeed have a problem. I'm waiting for his reply.

Thank you for you input Rhearick. :)

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-07-21 13:54:00
PhilippinesB1/B2 VISA ONLY 1 MONTH ALLOWED?

B1/B2 CAN (not should) have up to 6 months legal presence allowed. The CBP Officer makes the determination of actual allowed presence at the POE.

1 day of overstay doesn't trigger any ban but it might be worth contacting the POE and inquiring about extending the i-94 by 1 day.

alright. get it.
However, based from what my uncle said, he is the only one that was given that short period for a stay. People from Africa, New Guinea who are here for that same purpose had much longer duration of stay. That's just something.

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-07-21 12:12:00
PhilippinesB1/B2 VISA ONLY 1 MONTH ALLOWED?
Fellas,

My uncle is here for a convention and he has a B1/B2 Visa. However, when he arrived at Detroit as his POE last July 5th, the officer stamp him only until August 9th, yet his departure will be August 10th. The question arises that will he have any trouble on his exit by August 10th?

In my own understanding, B1/B2 should have at least 6 months allowable stay here in the states.

Feedbacks are very much appreciated.

PhilippinesNBI..quick question

Hi everyone!

Good day! Just a quick question about NBI clearance in Phil. My fiancee is from Philippines.
But she currently living and working in Macau for 15 yrs already.. She's been married before but and marriage annulled 5 yrs ago she never use her married name ..means she never amend any of her document like passport or ID in Macau she is single in all her document...So my question is when she get the NBI clearance in Philippines does she need to get with her married name or single? Just confused.
I know someone knows about this especially the one from Philippines..I will appreciate it. Thanks a lot!

Mr.Grey

This caught me thinking.
But, you see you will be dealing with immigration process, and she will have to secure that annulment decree, that means, she should get a copy of NBI clearance that was on her married name.

However, every year NBI clearance exprires, so whatever she is using now as her name.. might as well proceed to that.
