PhilippinesMen Your Thoughts On Filipina

I think the thread is about why our Filipina is "the one".

Yes please!:ot2:

PhilippinesMen Your Thoughts On Filipina

Hi please do not judge all American men by someone's out the park comment. I myself am a black American that has been to Phils several times in my life and I absolutely enjoy and respect the country and it's people. When I am there the people do not see my color well let me back up, certain remote areas I get a fair share of stares, shy smiles, and hey Joe...but for the most part I am treated with respect and return the favor. There are so many beautiful women in Phils and the temptation to be a bad boy is tremendous, but finding the one woman who you click with is key and stick to her is the remedy for doggish ways. The ultimate key here is maturity and respect for women, not just pinay but every woman.

Take care

I was not stereotyping all american. I was mainly referring to the crowd favorite, Mr. TCO.
But what you said about the treatment that you will get from my country as a foreigner is indeed tremendously heart warming.

I just don't understand why some men who are "mature" by age acts like little kids who brags about this, and that.
It makes me think that this guy had a rough past which has became stranger with "attention" and now just wants it all.

PhilippinesMen Your Thoughts On Filipina

Why is always the girl coming to USA. It's a much better deal for the USC especially a Man to go to Philippines and live. It's a man's world over there.

Woman work and men hang out and drink and chill out
. Divorce is Illegal, A man can have as many girlfriends as he wants in Philippines and can get as many girls pregnant he wants since there is no such thing as child support.

Being a Man in Philippines is the way to go, the Man Run the Show over there, and the woman obeys his rules..........

How sad. That you have to be in a country where you feel like you are special because of your skin color. You must have an extraordinary amount of insecurities in your self that you need to feel better by simply going to the Philippines and be treated like KING, do all you want and imply to the world that men in the United States are are simply lethargic.

What you have written simply reflects of what kind of person you are.

PhilippinesMen Your Thoughts On Filipina
You can't say "she's the one" not until you bring your sweet pinay in the US, until both of y'all completely can say that things have worked out after she moved , adjusted and actually have gotten comfortable and learned with the way "YOU" (the USC) lives, this is only the time that marriage might work after several years of getting to fully know each other.

Yes, you can say she is sweet as a honey while you are dating, and actually marry but sometimes unforeseeable circumstances that adjustment in US seems to be a an uphill climb, then lonesomeness takes over, then the idea of wanting to come home arises., then a sour divorce unfolds.

You might admit it or not, there always certain qualities that we all tend to hide in the "courting" stage, because we want to look perfect to the person we also love, but once we are all signed up in that marriage contract, these tiny little flaws shows.

In other words, "she's the one" is mainly a confirmation of what you have felt since the day you realized " you can spend the rest of your life" with this girl. Not unless you live with her, and see how she has lived and has become a wife to you, then you can only say that she is the right one.

I can say that my wife is the one for me, because she knows exactly what I don't want to eat now, and we can watch football all day long and I can converse with her anything and everything under the sun.
She is my best friend, and my strength when I don't have any.

She's the one!

PhilippinesWife as Joint Owner of Credit card account

If you have a joint card with him you inherit the history of that account even if he has had it for 20 years.

Does this mean, I will have the same credit score as what he has right now?
How long will it takes to build my credit score then?
Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2011-03-19 09:32:00
PhilippinesWife as Joint Owner of Credit card account

Yes, make sure you're not an just an Authorized but actually Joint Account Holder.

Also you can apply here for your own card, my wife got approved with no Credit History and no Job!

Thank you guys!

yes, I am a joint account holder.

As for the link Bob, I don't think I am ready yet to have another one this soon. :D , as the economy gets sour and sour, I'm good with only one.
But I will definitely keep this in mind.

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2011-03-18 21:45:00
PhilippinesWife as Joint Owner of Credit card account

Yes, if you use the card and pay it off right away it will slowly build your credit. You are on the account so either he or you can use the cards and build your credit. Also if he can add you to some of his older accounts, like a credit card he has had for awhile would be really good. Having a longer credit history builds better credit, the age of the account is factored into your score.

Thank you for the quick response.

As a matter of fact, his account which is also mine now has been with him since he has qualified for one.
So does that mean, It won't take long for me to have a good credit?

PhilippinesFilipino Dishes
Hm, let's see.. since I am from BICOL, I would suggest bicol express. I dont think your sweety has already tasted it.
If you aren't really familiar with the dish, it's like this.

You will need
-Coconut milk, (they dont have fresh ones, only in cans)
-of course meat should be pork or if you prefer pork fat
-pepper, cut it into pieces
-( i dont think they have equal stuff just like bagoong here) lol
-seasoning and salt
-onions and garlic cut 'em into pieces too.

Just let the coconut milk boil and put everything in there. and balance your desire taste.

My husband loves this dish cause it's soo hot. He said it has unique taste..

PhilippinesNO CLUE WHATS GOING ON!
I can say that your husband has no amount of respect for you. He doesn't care what you feel, he doesn't care what his acts affects your marriage. And he is choosing this girl over you... the wife.

How can he treat you like this when he knows that the root of every argument you both have is that "FRIEND" next door.
Girl, save yourself from deeper heartache. This man will not stop his acts until he sees you broken into pieces.
I know there is the other side of the page but, as you have mentioned... you spoke with him about this issue couple of times and still, he seems doesn't care at all.

Talk to him once again, and tell him that you are not happy about what is happening between you and him. if he continues to have such a colorful friendship with your neighbor, CUT THE ####### and go home. You will find a man more worthy of your time, love and affection.

Your future husband is pretty insensitive, but it not going to end unless otherwise you do something for him to be fully aware that you are getting pissed off how attached he is to his step daughter. Yeah, let's say he loves his step daughter, but there has to be a limit now how he'd like to see memories that reminds him about his past since you are now his present.

As what others said, Sit down and talk... if you already talked to him and still doesn't work. then put your ex's picture too in your computer, which of course I don't recommend for you to do. headbonk.gif

PhilippinesHas anyone gotten a chest X-ray in the Philippines before the medical exam?

I was thinking of having my fiancee get a chest X-ray before the St. Luke's medical exam to find out if she will need a sputum test. I am 99% positive she doesn't have active TB now, but a neighbor in her village died from TB when she was a kid. She doesn't remember having a TB infection, but I can't rule out the possibility that she has latent TB or that something will show up on her chest X-ray that requires a sputum test. And I heard that the St. Luke's clinic is particularly strict with any abnormal speck or dot that shows up on a chest X-ray. So do you think an early X-ray is a good idea or not?

I want to go with her to the St. Luke's medical exam, but I can't stay in the Philippines long enough to wait for a sputum test or TB treatment if either is necessary. And I really don't want to have to leave the Philippines without her!

Can anyone just walk into a doctor's office or hospital and request a chest X-ray? Has anyone here does that before? If so, do you have any idea about the best place (hospital, clinic, doctor's office) to go and how much it will cost?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can have thousands of thousands of Xray and bring it to St lukes, but none of these will be valid.
So just wait or have an advance medical in St. Lukes for your immigration process.
Good luck!

PhilippinesDental Health during medical ?
They do check for dental issues. But none of it would be a concern.
Literally, they would count how many teeth you still have, if you have denture(false teeth, or pustiso)and they will take down notes on that.
They won't do anything on your teeth on the medical day, however if the physician ask you to fix it, then might as well do it.

PhilippinesPre-nuptial agreement

Your case of not signing the pre-nuptial is understandable coz as you mentioned he does not have assets.

But why would a guy without any assets would ask her wife-to-be sign pre-nuptial? Does it indicate that the pre-nuptial is so widely acceptable here that even a guy without assets do it.

I always associate pre-nuptial with assets. Please educate me if i'm wrong. If there is no assets, i could not find the logic in doing a pre-nuptial without assets.

As to what I can remember, he will be RECEIVING a good amount of inheritance from his mom. That's prolly why he asked me for pre-nup.
However, my then fiance now husband talked over things and I clearly cited to him that if he doesn't trust me, or he is in doubt of me, then, he is very free to not marry me. He apologized and now, we are about to celebrate our 2nd yr anniv.

Cutie_PatootieFemalePhilippines2010-03-22 13:00:00
PhilippinesPre-nuptial agreement
I understand why your aspiring husband would ask you to sign pre-nup. But as echoed above, he should have asked you earlier even before you arrived here in the States. As for me, when I WAS asked to sign one, I NEVER sign it since he doesn't even have assets to begin with. I was pretty insulted at first.
If you know your intentions are true and clean on marrying your husband, I would stand on my point that he doesn't have to ask me a pre-nup.
Marriage is "what ever is yours is mine, and whatever is mine is yours".

If she has a good connection on her internet, and she has land phone line, the BEST way is for you to purchase a MAGICJACK (or her buy the magicjack in PI). for only $19.95/YR YOU and her will have solid communication.

Her, having a magicjack will allow her to have a US number that you can call anytime, and unlimited which should not cost you a penny if your mobile provider cover nationwide calling. The magic jack is just a plug in play USB that should be connected to a handset so she can utilize its feature.

I hope that helps!

PhilippinesSending package to philippines
Shame of Phil postal system!!!

I sent my mom the peso bills that I brought here in the states amounting to Php 2,700 which was suppose to be my pocket money. That was like Nov '09. I thought there will be an available money changer on the day that I had my POE (for my food, and stuff). But then there wasn't since I arrived night time at LAX.

ok.. So the envelop was comprised of 2.5K peso bills, an atm card (account is blocked now)for my bank in PI( I accidentally brought it with me so I had to return it home), and a letter. The bills and ATM was sealed and there's no way they can see it through from outside. I know it is risky to send this type of belongings but I threw a shot.

So in my despair, I called USPS to tell them about the concern. They said, the item was not traceable by the time it goes out of the US. YES, it went out of US territory.

So SHAME on Phil postal system and postal people. They are so hard to entrust with the service that they are rendering.

PhilippinesMy life is over....
I'm so sorry about how things went in your end. (F)

I, myself can't stand a marriage that has violence, immaturity, and selfishness involve. Assuming that she was a good wife to you all these years, but the way she has been acting lately is something that she has forgotten to act out as a wife. Each story has two sides. But as I can see, she has some troubling thoughts why she was acting like that. Ask yourself as well if is there anything that you might have done that caused the marriage to slowly deteriorate.

Tough love. If she wants to go, let her go. I know its going to be hard but you have to walk through and save yourself from more damaging situation.
Good luck!

Philippinesquestion about bringing money out of PI
What I can suggest is, she should bring more dollar bills than peso ones since she will just need to pay Php750 for the terminal fee and (x) travel tax (if not yet included in the ticket). If she can exchange peso bills into dollar of at least $150 for her trip while she is still in the Philippines, that would be enough. If she bring too many peso bills and expect to exchange it in the money changer in the airport, chances are she will end up sending it back to the Philippines like I did though I only brought Php 2,000. If she arrives at night in the airport say LAX with just peso bills, and would want to convert it to $$..not gonna happen. Changers are closed after 8PM in most humongous airports.

Snap! $150 for the trip should be enough id she doesn't have long layovers and stops. As she will be fed in the plane.
