Other. You are submitting your g-325A in connection with the I-130 petition. Your wife is as well.

You are the petitioner (a fancier word for a type of applicant). Your wife is the benneficiary and once approved will become a visa applicant.

just so i'm perfectly clear:

as the petitioner, i should check "other" and write in "petitioner." my wife should check "other" as well and indicate "beneficiary" ?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A form
my wife and i are currently filling out the G-325A. as i am a u.s. citizen, which box should i be checking since i'm not applying for status? it's clear that my wife should be checking the "status as permanent resident," but i'm not certain what i should be checking.

furthermore, since my wife and i have to fill out individual G-325A forms am i considered the applicant on my form and she hers?

We keep on trying to download the G-325A and get a notice that some things has been changed and we need to contact the author.

LPR's have a built in delay waiting for an available visa number, while a USC in that category, it is an immediate visa number

again - sorry for the dumb questions...

are you referring to me (U.S. born) being a Legal Permanent Resident or a U.S. Citizen?

or are you referring to what status my wife and i are petitioning for?

Yeah my girl and I are in the same 5 month lineup. The waiting is awful but like many before us all we can do is hurry up and wait. And with the help of the resorces and people on this website try not to cause ourselves any additional unneccessary delays.
Good Luck!

it looks like our timelines are almost identical. wanna race?

am i reading this incorrectly?

i went onto the uscis homepage to search out our processing timeline. based on my receipt code, the i-130 is in initial review. when i searched the timeline and entered "I-130" - "petition for spouse" - "california service center" the timeline indicated 35 months, even though the uscis goal is 5 months.

has anyone here recently filed an I-130 with the california service center? how long did it take?

maybe i'm overreacting, but when i saw that, my jaw dropped.
