My fiancee called the USCIS and apparently my letter from the US embassy should be with me at some point next week, which means we have our NOA2 Wonderful news Brock!! That calls for 3 dancy guys!! I figure that's what you do next after the noa2, right? Yes! Just be prepared to be on hold for awhile and ready for someone grumpy to answer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	yayy got our RFE letter in today, it states all we need to send in are updated passport photos of both of us. Has anyone ever taken a photo of themselves or should we just suck it up and have him mail the photos to me which could take over a week to get here! =( Also, is it possible for them to go back and review it and send another RFE after they take another look at our file? The reason I ask is because I had forgotten to put a letter in the orginal packet stating that we intended to get married oooopppsss. And I am curious if I could put in the RFE packet I send out, or should I just wait and see?? Help please!! I'm no expert, but I believe you need an "official" passport photo which will have to be mailed. We tried to get Costco to send and electronic file and they would not. Others may have a better suggestion. I would think you could add the letter of intent with the RFE. I'm sure it's not meant to be like that, but I think it's different for everyone. Anyway, now that Vermont are finally approving May filers, I'm really hoping this stage of waiting will be over soon. Congratulations to everyone who has had their approvals so far! From looking at the timelines of people who got approved in August from CSC, it seems to be roughly another 2-3 months after NOA2 before the interview and POE stage, would you say that's about right? Hoping for good news all round for everyone here Lucy x We could have had ours scheduled in 2 months after NOA2, but we had to wait due to work contraints. Every embassy is different. Now, for the ladies of this group... have you started planning anything for your wedding? Have you looked at dresses? I also picked out a hair piece (tiara) and shoes. 5 of my friends went with me, drinking champagne before. LOL We had a lot of fun. The lady who was pinning my dress called them my entourage. I was just talking to my fiancee and she flat out lit into me accusing me of probably never sending in our I129F packet because it has taken so long ..I've been going through hell and back with all of this..HOW COME WE, THE ONES WHO GO THROUGH THIS ENTIRE PROCESS LEGALLY, GET TREATED SO UNFAIRLY DIFFERENT FROM THOSE WHO COME INTO THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY??? Umm, you might want to tell her to get on this site and learn something. What is unfair is her accusing you of this. Sorry. That being said, know that we all have our moments of frustration and this process can bring out the worst in us as we wait. Take a deep breath and pray that you are next. I'll need to do some investigating. your wine group sounds fun! i think wine has to taste better when you make it yourself. hehe. If you're a Pinot drinker, that is probably why. The best Pinots come from Oregon. I don't drink a lot of Pinot myself, so I'm no expert. I hear there are some good ones being made in the Santa Rita Hills region of CA. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	I can hardly blame him, hope he wasn't affected by the storm.. looks like it might have passed right through, the earth is goign nuts at the moment, those doomsdayers will be having a field day! 7.7 earthquake in Canada, Hurricane Sandy and Frankenstorm, tsunami in Hawaii, there was another big earthquake somewhere in the US too wasn't there? I hope it settles down a bit and there is no more loss of human life. I was up in a panic half the night about the tsunami, I actually told David about it, we were on the phone when the sirens were going off, I laughed it off saying.. ohh there was an earthquake in Canada, we figured it was just a test, they do that. It kept going so I had a quick look on google, and sure enough.. ! anyway... i went to bed at 1 when they downgraded the threat. David was too busy catching more kittens.. he has 4 now, and the mother cat. so 6 cats in the house. mmm your wine pressing sounds interesting. and fun! I'm partial to a good Central Otago Pinot Noir personally, but I'll drink a decent Syrah, haven't found many American wines that I like, yet. So glad the tsunami fizzled. That had to be scary. Jordan is fine, his ship is on the West side of Florida and was no where near Sandy. Whew. We had a small earthquake (3.9) in So Cal this morning, but we always have earthquakes. I didn't feel it at all. I was on the phone with Jordan talking about the Canada earthquake when it hit. LOL I'm part of a group that makes wine, there is about 25 of us that are part of it. We split the costs and we all help in the process and at the end I get about 6 cases of wine. It's pretty good too! There are some Aussie Shiraz's that I really like. Syrah is one of my favorite wines, but I like all reds. Lots of good wine made in California. I'm sure you'll find some that you like. It was really warm here today and I spent the afternoon washing Jordan's boat. Can't wait until he gets here and can do it himself. I bet hes lying about over being in tropical paradise, just to make you feel better. nope... even a week to wait sounds far far too long. I'm wondering if booking something horrible like a dentist appointment around that date might make it feel like it comes up fast. hmmm LOL Maybe, but I don't think so. All he could talk about was being back here in So Cal. Now there's a thought! I just started to think about all the stuff I was going to get done before he got here....and how much I haven't done yet. That will make it go fast! I spent 6 hours pressing wine today. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	well thats nice, I know how that feels, when David was in Iraq, it was always a nice surprise when he called. wow.. sounds difficult for him being in Grand Cayman. but seriously.. its a bittersweet feeling.. to miss him. David is currently trapping and trying to tame 3 stray kittens that have been living with their cat mother for the last couple of months. hes just spent several hundred dollars on stuff at Petco and I'm getting updates every half hour or so. He has a bit of a soft spot for cats!! I have to watch he doesn't become the crazy cat man.. though... are futures are clearly aligned, as I've always said, when I'm old and start losing my mind, I fully intend on becoming a crazy cat lady, so maybe we can do that together some day. 31 days left to interview Patty... thats not many... but won't it seem like forever. *sigh* on another note.. I saw a May 4th filer get approved!! Awww....kitty rescue. Good for him! He sounds like a great guy. Jordan only has 3 weeks left on his contract so he's over being in tropical paradise every day. LOL He said the ship is starting to feel like prison. I still don't feel sorry for him. Less than a month to go! Does that sound better...umm no. I'm off to make wine this morning. I'm glad to hear it wasn't that bad. Sorry, I forgot you were the USC. LOL Just got a surprise call from the ship tonight. He doesn't call too much because it's expensive, but we're trying to figure out when he'll be able to go to work again and I'm coordinating with his agent. Our situation is a complicated one. However, i would rather that people were safe vs having to wait a few more days. Our AP, is not the 221g, it is another screening usually takes about two weeks. Is everything okay there now? I'm in complete freak out mode to be honest. I'm worried something will go wrong that will delay everything. if people think that once you have your interview date, things get easier.. they are so so wrong. haha. hey I was thinking, our timelines are soooo close together. we got our NOA1, NOA2 and interview within a day of each other. ha. Oh Wow! You're right! LOL Well here's to us doing the happy dance on the same day. I don't know why I'm stressing so much, but I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I know an April filer who has her interview the same week as us and she's feeling the same thing. I keep reading about the dreaded AP...I would lose my sanity if that happened. Here's hoping it satisfies the agent. Fingers crossed! I suspect an approval is coming very soon. I wont be here when it happens as I'll be flying out to see my guy tomorrow! I'll be on a ship so I'll be disconnected. This will be my last visit before his interview. Unfortunately I just came down with a cold. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Oh for the love of all sacred things. I got the RFE today; they want proof that we've met in person in the last three years. Apparently the (date-and-location-labeled) photos and copies of the itineraries are insufficient for the towering supergenius in charge of my case. I want to go down to the CSC and enact violence, presently. This is such a load of horseshit. The same thing happened to a friend here on VJ. What they sent in addition was Credit card statements and Bank statements showing charges made during the visits. All the things SweetDelish said are good ideas too. I scanned all the pages of my passport showing the stamps from my trips. My friend sent the bank & CC statements and 10 days later APPROVED! Like others have said, it's an easy fix. Good Luck! That is too funny! I was able to find a caterer that was willing to work with me without me making a deposit until Nov 27th. I told her that nothing was for sure until after Nov 26th. This process makes it hard to plan a wedding! This adequately sums up how I feel about this business with them failing to get my address right despite multiple attempts to inform them.
