K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	1 Year Later....   I was just thinking about how different things were 1 year ago.  5/11 was that horrible day that we learned Jordan could not enter the US and we had to cancel our plans for spending the summer together.  5/17 was the day I sent the K-1 package.  I did it in 6 days...6 days of crying, stress, research, more crying, more research, discovering Visa Journey...lots more research, lots more crying after reading timelines, Igor's, etc.   Then the sense of accomplishment turning to a sense of dread after reading all the things I might have screwed up.   Ugh.   Now I can sit back and smile that it's all behind us now.   Hope everyone is enjoying their lives TOGETHER with the one we waited for.  Jordan is taking his driver's test today.  He said his last step to becoming official.   lol  Hope he passes, he's only been driving for more than 35 years.   Things are going great for us, hope the same for everyone who supported me here!	sk8rpatty	Female	Canada	2013-05-14 15:58:00

I hear ya on the paperwork, I don't want to see another USCIS form for....well, I guess it's 21 months now. Update: We had our AOS interview in Santa Ana on the 2nd and we were APPROVED!! Jordan's EAD/AP card was approved on the 28th and is supposed to arrive tomorrow, not that it really matters at this point. We'll have the GC a week later. LOL The process went really quickly for us. I was ready to burn the huge folder I've created that has every document we've ever needed for this whole process but Jordan would let me. Spent the day in a flurry of activity to get this arranged so that the day and a half before we fly to France goes smoothly. I have everything prepared for the interview, and I'm rather frantically trying not to be nervous. We arrive in Paris just before midnight, have the interview at 1 pm the next day, spend the rest of the day there, and fly back in the afternoon of the 1st. Then the last steps of the wait begin, but these are the very final hours we are spending apart from each other. This is it--it's almost done! Sounds like you are ready, good luck!! Fiance is flying over two weeks before. Then we'll return to the US together. We're planning a quick JoP wedding for as soon as we can just to start the immigration. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	I kept running into snags, my husbands tax transcript says he earned around $3000 for 2011, due to being deployed in Iraq, therefore his taxable income was low (tax free earnings while on deployment) so have had to go the extra step for that. We are supposed to be moving to Korea, though making some attempts to change that assignment, thats delayed us aswell, we should have heard last week (and the week before, and the one before that!) if its confirmed or deleted, so I'm sending this puppy off tomorrow, with a letter from his CO advising we are moving to Korea in approx 2 months. I've had the packet ready for almost 2 weeks now. nothing else really. Wow, lots of uncertainty. Hang in there! Hopefully you hear something soon on his next assignment. Congrats on getting the AOS package together! And to think I'm whining about moving 18 miles LOL We're supposed to close escrow today on our new place! However it just occured to me that I have to file a change of address with the USCIS now. Ugh. There were no problems with our application yet we had to wait an unbearable 283 days for NOA2. I was on the verge of leaving this country too. It had been promise after promise that our application would be completed and they'd keep making us wait 30 days and then 60 days and so forth. Finally, there is some closure and progress. The worst part was they'd never give a reason or answer any of our questions as to why it was so delayed. I'm very happy that our application was finally approved, but the whole process has left me quite bitter. Let's hope that the application from here on out will go much smoother. Thank you everyone for all of your kind words of support this whole time. WOOHOO!!! Congratulations!! Finally... I would be quite bitter too. So sorry you've had to go through this agonizing wait. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	yes, but I think its the other way around, the vaccination is the I-693.. anyway, I had it, but Honolulu POE requested my x-rays, apparently they do this and the immigration officer was annoyed that I was not aware that I needed to hand it over, so the problem was, I had put my copy of the vaccination record in the x-ray envelope and totally forgot, so now its lost in the vortex of immigration land and it could be forever to get it back if I tried that path, rather than risking just telling them 'you already have it, check the x-ray envelope' I requested another copy from the doctor in Sydney. the bit i'm confused about, is the civil surgeon thing... so I now have everything except the vaccination record, the i-864, when hubby works 14 hour days, its hard to nag him about these things. He will get on to it though, and my photos. got everything else, copied, and ready... oh, haven't signed as I'm still figuring out what my new signature is going to be. haha. v.cute photo Patty. I'm procrastinating. Did you get a DS 3025 (Vaccination Record) when you had your medical? You do not need to have another medical since you just had it for the K1. Sorry that I haven't been around at all lately but I went to visit my fiance for Christmas and New Years and couldn't log in for some weird reason. I'm back now, and finding it absolutely miserable without him. Somehow it's a lot harder to cope this time than it was in June when we knew we'd be apart for even longer Anyway, I'm now getting the last bits together before sending package 3 back to the London embassy, also need to book my medical this week. Hearing some depressing things about how long the London embassy takes to issue an interview date though so not feeling good at the moment. I really hope this won't drag on past March you guys I'm in need of a pep talk... Thanks!! I wont lie to you, the closer you get, the harder it gets. I was going crazy the last few days before he arrived. But once you are finially together all of the stress, loneliness dissapears. Now it seems like it really wasn't that long. It was a wonderful day. I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. The wedding was outside in a park so we were very concerned about the weather but we woke up to a beautiful clear sunny day. Whew! About 60 people attended. Everyone was so happy for us, knowing what we went through to get to this moment. It was so hard not to cry as I walked down the isle, seeing all our family and friends and seeing the big smile on his face. I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying time together. Was told It could take up to 3 weeks to schedule an interview date(?!) surely it's just a case of clicking a button on the calendar when they've processed the paperwork? this has to be the least efficient system ever!
