K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	I keep hearing all these CSC May approvals and I'm going crazy in anticipation. I'm still in "Initial Review". I'm checking USCIS too many times a day now. Sooo happy for everyone who's getting approved here....just kinda wish it was me too! I have a quiet weekend at home planned so it's time to start working on the house to make room for his stuff. I've been talking about it for months now. IF i can get out of bed early enough, which is doubtful.. haha I might have to try that. It's been a week and a half since my last run due the heat wave we're having. It's been in the 90s when I get home from work and that is just too hot for me to run. But getting up before 5:00am to run is going to be difficult! We landed a rover on Mars using a rocket-powered flying crane, how amazing and awesome is that? Yeah, they landed that rover on Mars but they can't seem to get my #(%!#@ petition approved?? Sorry! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Fortunately, or unfortunately I have so much stuff going on in my life right now that keeping busy hasn't been a problem. Within the last year I lost both my Mom and Dad so I've been having to clear out the house they lived in for over 53 years. Not fun. My Dad passed less than a month after Jordan was denied. yeah, this year has sucked. I also have started working out quite a bit and that helps me when I'm feeling down. He was not actually denied, but "allowed to withdraw his application for admission" which is better from what I understand. He was at the airport in Vancouver. At least he didn't travel first, but he did eat the cost of the ticket. I was just leaving work to pick him up at the airport when he called. I'm wondering how he is calling me from the air. Well, he never made the flight. I remember just being shocked "what do you mean you can't come??" For 5 months we had planned his vacation here. If you read through the thread you will see that he actually got to visit for 12 days in June. I really need to get moving on getting my house in order. No one understands our situtaion like the people who are in it too. My guy was denied entry back in early May. It was an awful time for us. All our plans we had made for his visit had to be cancelled. It was horrible. But now that we are well on our way in the K-1 process, it's gotten much easier. I still miss him terribly, but I know it's only temporary. Hang in there and feel free to come here and vent. We all understand. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	hey on the bright side, it gave us all something to talk about other than the waiting right? LOL That you did! Jordan is 54 and never been married, I'm the one who went through a nasty divorce after 15 years so neither of us really wanted to get married but we had started talking about it since it seemed like we planned to be together long term anyway. Well when the reality hit that we can't just live together, we decided it was really what we both wanted. He did openly admit that he was aprehensive, which made me nervous, but once we got used to the idea and got down the road in this process we knew it was the right thing to do and truly what we both wanted. The first month was rough though. I've been going a little crazy lately. I'm over on "Cruise Critic" on my roll call for my cruise (the only way I get to visit my guy until mid November) trying to kill time and I just can't get into the conversation over there. They are just happy people counting down until their vacation and I can't fault them for that, but my countdown has a completely different meaning. In the end we are all just WAITING. It sounds like he had a severe case of pre-wedding jitters, but he does need to be slapped around a bit (verbally) for putting you through that. X 10 ! I know my guy was nervous at the beginning about getting married. Same fears, that I will completely change once we get married. I told him "Yeah, I'll gain 200 pounds and become a rightous nag" haha. He's finally gotten past that (hopefully!) You add the stress of this process plus the distance and things can get crazy. Dave is giving me a minute by minute account of how hes settling in. the latest message was 'he peed' haha. I think this man is excited to have his cat friend in Hawaii. AND I just booked another trip to go and see him, which I guess is actually 'them' now ... them, only 5 weeks to wait! Yay Kitty! That is too cute! That's great you're going to see him soon. I actually just made 2 months, but I'm feeling better about this process now. The time has gone pretty quickly and it doesn't seem so far away now. Just praying that there are no hiccups along the rest of the journey. Only 46 more days until my next visit with Jordan. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Thanks Patty! It's great to be here. It's like a big deep breath of fresh air to be connected with people in the same boat. Whenever I get asked by or talk to someone about our visa process, I get looked at like I'm from another planet. Now I can come here and everyone now exactly what I'm talking about. Yeah, no one outside of this can possibly understand how difficult this is. The constant worry that something will go wrong, a RFE, a rejection after months of waiting, a delay for some stupid reason, worse yet a denile. Did I include enough evidence, did I leave a blank where a N/A should have been. I have nightmares. I know we will all laugh about it a year from now. For the time being its nice to have our little support group here. I got a call from Jordan from Cozumel (lucky duck!) today and he is thrilled to be working again. We initially thought he was going to be stuck in Canada for the entire process, therefore not be able to work. We got some bad information from an attorney that we did NOT hire (whew)that he would be unable to leave to work. Thanks goodness for this site and others who have given us good information. No, we did not get our NOA2 (I wish!) but Jordan was able to get through to border to go join his ship in Tampa!! He is so happy. He will be able to work for the next 4 months while we wait. They really took their time reviewing all his documents but he said they were most interested in the Hard Copy NOA1. So glad he had it with him! I know how that feels. You have a long visit to look forward to in August though. I had to leave Canada the last time knowing that I wont see him again until Sept 9th. 64 more days, but who's counting. He goes back to work a week from tomorrow so the only way I will be able to see him is to take a cruise on his ship. I don't have enough vacation days to go any sooner.
