Hi guys,

I received my bio appointment yesterday for 6/9/14.

Im gonna attempt to walk in today at the Buena Park office.

Anyone know if that office allows walk in?

Just give it a try. My appointment is for 06/11 in Bellflower but I tried the Wilshire office in Downtown LA for a walk-in this morning and was allowed (with a lot of begging of course). Its conveniently located 2 doors from my office.

My biometrics appointment is on 06/11, I have the next day off work. I'd prefer not to take time off work, so I'd rather go on 06/12. Could there be problems with this? I know early walk-ins are fine, just wondering the case of being late. Does the system flag me as "no-show" once the day passes? Useful insights much appreciated, thanks!

Problem solved. Attempted an early walk-in today and was successful.

My hubby sent his n400 application to uscis last may 1st ,2014. He received a notice that they have already his application. Please see his timeline:

Sent PCKG: May 1, 2014
PD: May 5,2014
NOA letter received: May 7,2014
Fingerprints appoinment scheduled: June 6, 2014

My hubby is unable to attend oh his scheduled date for biometrics. Because he will be out of the country on that period. So he did early walkin to the USCIS local office it was great. He just received his biometrics appointment last may 20 then done with his fingerprinting last may 21,2014. Now we are still waiting for his letter interview. Goodluck to everyone!

Immunizations

Tdap - you can't test for all of these. I can't remember which one doesn't show up, but anyway you need a shot every 10 years. The health unit WILL NOT give you Tdap, you need to get it at a travel clinic. It costs about $40.

MMR - you require 2 shots to be immune. All you need is your immunization record and if you only have 1 shot then you tell them you need your second shot and bring the record to show them. This is free if you haven't had 2 shots.

Varicella - All you need to do is state the year you had chicken pox. If you haven't had it, the blood test will show "not immune". Bring this to the health unit and they will give you the shots for free. It's 2 shots 4 weeks apart. This shot is free.

I had a hugeeeee run around from the health unit here in BC. Ask a million questions and call more than one place to make sure you get the correct answers. I told one health unit I hadn't had chicken pox and she REFUSED to make an appointment for me to get it, even though I had a blood test saying I wasn't immune. Called another health unit and I was booked there with no issues and they even told me I had some shots done incorrectly. :bonk:

Request for Input on a K1 Visa

You need to have met within 2 years from the date you file (which is your NOA1 date, not the date you send the package). If you file after 2 years your petition will not be approved, regardless of having a lawyer or not.

Your fiance will need to get a job because, from my knowledge, the Phils rarely accept co-sponsors. If he has assets they must amount to 3x the 125% guideline. From what I've read, these usually need to be liquid assets in order to be considered.

Having a lawyer won't really help with either of these problems.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen...

Looks like it wasn't so bad. FH was notified today that his AP was completed yesterday and that he needs to come to the Embassy with his passport. Apparently they were trying to contact him since yesterday but were calling the number he had when he was actually in Dakar. The person told him they remembered him telling them that he had a Gambia number (since his cell phone only works inside Gambia) and called that number today. He said the person was very excited to finally reach him and deliver the news.

2nd Interview

We were denied. Evans is going to email me the papers. Evans believes that it was our age difference. Hmmm, I knew that would happen. Its ok for men to be older but women, its a difference story. Depends how much older. Does anyone have an idea of which way is better to go? Should we appeal or should I just try to go back this summer and marry him? Any and all ideas will help. We will appreciate any suggestions. The ex husband thing was a stall tactic and was very unfair. Thanks again

Its a start!......... I hope to GOD, I never have to go through this ordeal again and I hope to GOD none of you will either. Oh... before I forget, the tears finally came down when I saw him driving in her neighborhood. I thought I was all tough thru this but I broke down Ladies & gents, the tears were flowing. I finally allowed myself to mourn over his affair. My advice would be to make sure there is no cause for blame on your part. You cannot control your husbands actions and you cant make anyone love you but if you contribute to the situation with anger and violence, then you'll always blame yourself in some way. No matter what happens, continue to put your faith in God and he will sustain you through anything this unordinary journey takes you through!
