Thank you Maria...

Are there any forms I should download to bring along?

And, is the UK "vaccine booklet" good enough proof?

Thanks !

Hello to All:

Graham and I are waiting for pkt 4 to arrive, but we'd like to know if we could book his medical before that arrives in the post...

Are we able to book that with his case #?
And what are the forms they send in pkt 4 pertaining to the medical?

Is it just the vacc. sheet and a ds-156 that I need to download ???

Thank You !

Rose

PS-I do appreciate all of your advice lately...you ALL have been so helpful to us. : )

United KingdomHow quickly can you usually get a London medical?
Hi Ya...
We don't have our interview date yet, stil waiting on pkt 4, but Graham was able to book his for this Wednesday...June 21. He called 2 weeks ago, and they were VERY accomodating.

: )
MrsBruce5FemaleScotland2006-06-18 11:29:00
United KingdomCan anybody help with the medical number to call?
Here ya go....

020 7584 9458

Graham had his medical today and said it was quite easy. It was at Basil St, and not Bulstrode...but this is the central number for bookings and they wull tell you which facility to attend.

Good luck...
...Now all we need is an interview date ! LOL

United KingdomChicken Pox not available in the U.K. question
Hi Again,

Yeah...varicella in not available in the UK, and I beleive you will be waived from it.
If you get the shots at the GP, you won't have to pay.
Graham went and sorted it all out last month-when he went for his medical-all we paid for was the exam, and the doc was inpressed that he didn't need any jabs.

Good luck-don't fret-you'll ge it sorted !

Hi Lina,

We are am going through London also with a CR1, and it looks like 8-10 weeks for a CR1 interview.

Do you know interview stats for a K1?
I don't know the time frame from reciept of the K1 and the actual interview...wish I did, as I could help you more...
Also, what is the market like for homes in your area. How long from contract to closing???

Knowing these 2 things can help you out greatly...

Also, for a realtor to knock 10,000 pounds for flooring and decor is a bit high, no?
Can you not do a DIY on the floor and priss it up for selling?
Would run you about 3-4,000 pounds at best to DIY it, and get asking price...

I have a question for you, as Mr. Bruce has his interview Friday, and will be flying back to Aberdeen that afternoon.
When they take Craddy's passport, what will he be using as ID? This has been a question that I am sure the embassy has taken care of, but I am simply curious...

Again, Godspeed to you both, and I will be thinking of you two today !!

Yeah...I guess it's in 2 days now ! LOL
I have to say, I am rather calm about the whole thing lately. I think that I might have exhausted myself over it a while back. Right now, all I am doing is hoping that he brings all he needs to get through it, and he gets his a** home soon.
I just feel like I have been sitting here for the last 2 years waiting for my life to begin. When it finally does come to fruition, I fear I won't know what to do first !

Still waiting.

It's noon GMT. Interview was at 11:00-but you all know how that goes...

I am getting a little cracked with anticipation. Feel like I should run through the house with my Boxer girl to blow off some steam !!!

Ahhh...my coffee is made. If I drink it, I may implode !!!

He doesn't like cognac. He said, "peh!" when I told him about it !

I have ordered a bottle of Opus One circa 2002 (the year we became friends).
I am expecting it in a few more days...hopefully before he gets here on the 9th

No worries Bethanie-I will be having my coffee as I post it ! :P
Light & brown !!!

Sarah !!
Hi there ! How are you? How is Hicham doing ? Any word with getting through AP ?
Hopefully you have some good news to tell !
I have been out of the loop lately...working my hiney off and having fun with my little boy this summer.

I am quite excited. Maybe even a bit of a "happy nervousness" going on...I would really like to have a drink. I inherited a bottle of cognac from my dad when he passed away, and was saving it for something really special. Ummm...maybe tonight would be a good night to have a nip???
My only issue is that I am a lightweight, and may pass out-leading me to forget to call The Little Mr. for his wake-up call at 4am GMT. That would really suck...

Dayummm Sarah !
Just noticed your ticker...I guess you got some good news !!

Congratulations !!!
So, when's the wedding ????

Andre,

This kind of wait goes WAYYYY faster than the wait we're all used to.
This is the good kind !
Actually, you are probably going to get a fine price on that flight, seeing as it is in October.

Graham enjoyed meeting you last week. He said you were one of the most pleasant and friendly people he's ever met. Thank you for chatting with him, and keeping him engaged. I know that when he is stressed, he needs to be kept busy-it seems to keep him calm. Cheers for that.

What's going to be your POE?

Hi Bethanie,
Yeah-I know it is a very tough job-especially my boy-he is a wooly coat-has epilepsy and he is a fear biter. She charged me dearly for it...and she is a pain in the a** !!!

So, you got 8 days left !!!

Hahhahah !

No...I didn't get there yet. With some luck-maybe later...
Took the Husky to the groomer today so he won't be a stinker !
He is molting, so my house looks like there was a cotton call explosion all over, and I have been quite busy with that bit. I am having him shaved down-much to the disapproval of my groomer. She gave me a lot of lip over it-but to be honest, I am more concerned about his comfort & happiness than what he looks like.
So, here's hoping for the microwave later ! LOL

How are you feeling about next week? Nice & calm I hope. Really, don't worry-quite simple, actually.
If you want, I can give you Brucie's e-mail and Tim can fire off any Q's he may have.

United KingdomInterview Update
Mrs. Whizz-Since you are K3, does NVC schedule your interview? I am not sure how that works, as me and Brucie are CR1.

One little bit of advice: Do not ever stop breaking horns over there...if you have to, call each day. E-mail, and make yourself present.
I am not an aggressive woman by nature, but when it concerns my son or my Brucie, I can conjure up the ability to attempt to move mountains for them.
Once your case is complete, become proactive and do not let anything or anyone get in your way. I found that being kind, cordial and persistant will pay off.

All the best to you, Mrs. Whizz. Godspeed on your journey.
