OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Part 9!!!!! Onnuh NAAAAH joke!!!!

Hope all is well with everyone! Ok...I am FINALLY getting our AOS together! Couple of questions...

1). I can't find my W2's. I have a pretty dyam good feeling that the bloodclaat embassy took them when Ken had his interview! I have my 1040's...should I submit w/o W2's or chase down my last 3 employers to get another copy?

2). Should I submit info about KJ (Ken's son) on the AOS forms??? My K1 app had his info...but he is still not here and honestly it's looking like we will have to file for him separately cause I doubt we will make the March 2009 deadline to get him up here.

3). Finally...does anyone have a good phone # to call USCIS...like the visa center's # (202-663-1225), but for the AOS part??

Thanks and again...even though I'm not on often I still think and love my VJ Yardie Fam!!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaWhat Is The Secret To A Strong & Good Marriage/Relationship?
Hi Shaunsgirl,

This is also my 2nd marriage. I takes patience, trust & communication. In addition we are absolutely committed to making this marriage work.

I also know that I am not perfect. So I look inward to see what I can change next time...because basically the only person I can truly change is myself. Remind yourself why you decided to marry this man.
For me even my VJ name reminds me every day that this marriage is til death do us part...period. (My husband's last name is Young.)

Good luck to you both and don't forget to pray! All is possible through him!

Hey peeps!

Congrats Jakeswife! Had no doubts!

Gill, there is not much he can do at this point, without the divorce, he can't file on his own behalf. He may be able to request another interview date. But, that may be pointless because the wife is not available for the interview.

He can check with Vital Records to see if the wife filed the divorce without him. Sadly, he should have handled his business instead of running off to NY. I bet the wife got the interview letter.

Hey Jaws biggrin.gif

I was thinking along the same lines Gilly. I am sure the wife got the letter and didn't tell him about it. I would think he would have to file a new petition as failure to show up at the interview would be a denial. He could request it to be reopened but that would be a can of worms. Probably best to refile something new. Now he is either going to have to find her and see if she is willing to go joint on the petition or he is going to have to file for divorce (if she hadn't already) and then file for ROC on his own after he gets a divorce decree. I am sure that he will have tons of explaining to do in regards to why so much time has passed and he never followed through on the paperwork. Maybe a consult with a lawyer would be the best thing. Just to make sure there isn't a roadblock we aren't thinking off.

Hey Mami..

He will also have to prove that he has been self sufficient if he files ROC on his own. He has to prove that he has been substaining his cost of living by HIMSELF via legitimate means...tax returns etc.

Which without a unexpired GC, I don't think he can do! no0pb.gif

Afternoon Family,

Question: I was in the middle of a wonderul conversation with my friend, Mrs. Legz last night. When Ken bursts in with his friend and tells me "Carlos needs immigration assistance! Tell Kim-Kim(Gurl, I told him your name-but em prefer Kim-Kim) yuh will call har back!" blink.gif

So here's the deal...don't know if 'we' biggrin.gif can help Carlos, but I told him I'd ask.

Carlos arrived in FL. from JA. in 2000-2001 on an entertainment visa. He met a Girl, got married. She filed for him and he recieved his all of his conditonal documents (2 yr. GC, EAD,...etc). They filed for his conditions to be lifted in 2003-2004(?) and to recieve his permanent GC. He never recieved his Perm GC. Carlos and the Girl broke -up. He came to NY and she...well we don't know where the devil she is. When he consulated with an attorney they told him USCIS had sent him an interview letter (which they never recieved) and since he didn't show up at the interview. The perm GC was never issued.

Now what does he do? He and the Girl never divorced...but as I mentioned he has no idea where to find her.

Thanks for your help, Gang.

Bless-ed,
Gill

P.S.- I JUST found out what happened to NowMrs. and I am honestly devasted. Does anyone know how she is doing?

Good Morning all,

I am sitting here with the Mister, I see Claire updated you all. So when my SO when to pick up his package they gave him an enevlope and told him to open it to make sure everything was correct, when he open it, it was just his passport in it, he told he lady that their should be a bigger envelope she said No that is all there is. So he asked me and I knew from what i read that their should be another enevelope that he not suppose to open but since they didnt send it I thought maybe they change the prcocess. When he got to JFK they asked him fro the envelope which he didnt have. They send him to the litttle room and held him their for almost 3hs. He said the immigration officer was very mean and just wanted to send him back home, but Thank God their was another immigration officer their that suggested they give him a 30 day permit. They also called the
Jamaican embassy who told them they did send the envelope, so they kept asking him if he sure he didnt leave it at home he said no I never got it. Gilli..how Kenny (do no tell him mi call h im so smile.gif ) and job ting

Mawning family,

Kenny (hehe) is alright. He is working at a club on Friday/Saturday nights doing coat check/bartending. Girl, I love the stories he comes home with! How Girls leave there numbers for him (in their coats or write it on the tips they give him! laughing.gif ). I just laugh, cause I know my Boo and that ain't his style. "Dem likkle pickney gal dem cyan't duh nuttin' fuh mi right ya now!"

He is such a worker ant...that it's been hard on him. I never met a man that LOVES to work! But he does. My family LOVES him. They are all finding little odd jobs to do around their houses, cause they know Ken's not down with handouts. So my one Aunt had him pack a barrel for her. Another had him paint her house, another had him put up some windows for her...I'm blessed to have them.

I know his self-esteem was suffering the last few months...b/c you know how Yard men stay they have to feel like they are contributing. I just kept telling him...no worries...we are in this together and hey I am the real reason you can't work right now...I should have filed your AOS/EAD/AP sooner. So he knows there is more than enough blame to go around...so don't try to hog it all laughing.gif !

I think the realism of America not being as 'easy' as he once thought is also starting to hit home. Like we always say there are somethings that no matter how much you try to explain to them...they HAVE to see & FEEL it for themselves.

No lie...life is hard...but we are FINALLY together, so it make it all worthwhile...and we know "this too shall pass!" As Kenny says "Not hevery day deh sea will be rough...one day it haffi calm!" And I am still happy as a clam to have my Kenny here ...finally!! luv.gif

Bless-ed,
Gill

*********NEWS FLASH!***********

Did you Guys hear that the Governor of IL. was busted by the feds for trying to sell Obama's seat in the Senate to the 'highest bidder'?? Yuh know people always trying to turn something so wonderfully positive into a negative!! TOTALLY DISGUSTING!! mad.gif

From MSNBC:

CHICAGO - Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich embarked on "political corruption crime spree" and tried to benefit from his ability to appoint President-elect Barack Obama's replacement in the U.S. Senate, federal officials said Tuesday.

At a news conference in Chicago on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald called it a sad day for the citizens of Illinois and alleged that the governor tried to "auction off" the Senate seat "to the highest bidder".

He said the alleged behavior "would make (Abe) Lincoln roll over in his graveBlagojevich was arrested hours earlier.

A 76-page FBI affidavit said the 51-year-old Democrat was intercepted on court-authorized wiretaps over the last month conspiring to sell or trade the vacant Senate seat for personal benefits for himself and his wife, Patti.

Fitzgerald said federal investigators bugged Blagojevich's campaign offices and placed a tap on his home phone.

In Illinois, the governor selects a successor when there is a mid-term Senate vacancy. Obama resigned from the Senate soon after winning the Nov. 4 presidential election.

'Truly a new low'
He alleged that the governor wanted "tangible and up front" cash in return for appointing Obama's successor.

Fitzgerald accused Blagojevich of "appalling conduct" and said the governor "has taken us to a truly new low".

"He wasn't against a corrupt deal, he was against being stiffed in a corrupt deal," Fitzgerald added.

Federal prosecutors have investigated Blagojevich's administration for at least three years. The governor has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Fitzgerald said federal officials were making "no allegations" that Obama was "aware of anything" in connection with the case.

The affidavit contends Blagojevich discussed getting a substantial salary for himself at a non-profit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions. It also says Blagojevich talked about getting his wife placed on corporate boards where she might get $150,000 a year in director's fees.

The affidavit also quotes Blagojevich as saying "I want to make money" in one conversation.

Blagojevich and John Harris, the governor's chief of staff, were each charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and solicitation of bribery.

The FBI affidavit alleges that Blagojevich also sought promises of campaign cash, as well as a cabinet post or ambassadorship in exchange for his Senate choice.

Blagojevich is accused of saying on November 3 that if he is not going to get anything of value for the open seat, then he would appoint himself to the post.

"I'm going to keep this Senate option for me a real possibility, you know, and therefore I can drive a hard bargain," the affidavit quotes the governor as saying.

Senate seat is a 'valuable thing'
He noted becoming a U.S. senator might remake his image for a possible presidential run in 2016, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit quotes Blagojevich telling an adviser later that day that a Senate seat "is a [expletive] valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing."

In a conversation with Harris on November 4, the day of the election, Blagojevich is alleged to have compared his situation to that of a sports agent shopping a potential free agent to the highest bidder.

On November 5, Blagojevich allegedly told an adviser, "I've got this thing and it's [expletive] golden, and, uh, uh, I'm just not giving it up for [expletive] nothing. I'm not gonna do it."

On November 7, while talking on the phone about the Senate seat with Harris and an adviser, Blagojevich said he needed to consider his family and that he is "financially" hurting, the affidavit states.

Harris allegedly said that they were considering what would help the "financial security" of the Blagojevich family.

Mawning Family,

Conrats on the promo Lawny!
Hang tight Portland Angel...it soon come! The same thing happened to Mrs. Cole(I think)...where it got hung up for a little bit...not long. They are probably doing a name check or fingerprints!

Thanks for all the well wishes about my Dad...he is doing much better! Thanks Fam!

Question: What does the EAD look like? I am so pissed! Ken and I went to get his NYS learners permit in August. The idiot old man told us he has to be in the country for 6 months before applying. Ok, so we went back last week and they told us that his I-94 has expired and that we have to wiat on his EAD card or Resident card. I was F-U-R-I-O-U-S!! When mi tell yuh mi cuss some bad word inna dat deh office...I'm not lying!! mad.gif

The DMV supervisor knew I wasn't lying because she said that 6 month rule hasn't been in effect for 5 years now and knew I probably spoke with an 'old-timer'. However, she couldn't fix his error because they take copies of the visa and her job would be placed on the line with an expired I-94!!!!!!!

She said if the EAD has a picture then we can use it...if not then we will need to wait on his Resident card!

So...hence my question!

Thanks and have a bless-ed day! luv.gif

Howdy Family,

I hope everyone had a blessed and truly thankful thanksgiving. I haven't been on in awhile. I had to rush my Dad to hospital last Sunday. He was having horrible stomach pains...long story short...he had an obstructed bowel...had surgery and is coming home today! So even though I didn't have a REAL Thanksgiving...I am still really THANKFUL!! luv.gif

Hope all is well with the gang! Going back to skim and see what everyone's been up to!
