I guess it sounds easy to just eat less and work out more....lol!!!!

Some women at work are doing weight watcher...but when I have a lot of work I like to eat whatever I have a taste for.

Afternoon Everyone,

KK, that's what I LOVE about WW...you can eat whatever you have a taste for...just in moderation. I started a WW@ work program in June 2009. I am proud to say I've lost 20lbs since I started. (That's even with my vacation to JA!!) I did WW about 20 years ago and it didn't work for me...so up until this June I just kept writing it off! However, my co-workers kept raving...so I tried it and it actually works! I pretty much killed my poor thyroid from years of fad diets and yo-yoing weight. I can see myself sticking to WW b/c I never really feel deprived of having something I'm craving. Anyway just my $.02...but for anyone looking for a healthy way to lose weight...I would HIGHLY recommend it! biggrin.gif

Congrats Gill kicking.gif I've joined WW a few times but never commit ......love the program though.

Tonks Shems! It's the tracking part that gets me! But at the end of the day I realize I like knowing everything I put in my mouth!

i like saying it!!!

what do ur child/children call ur SO, what will his kids call u??

we talked about this when we first got serious and we both agreed we didn't want anything too formal so we agreed the first name would be fine.. the judge that officiated our ceremony talked w/ us at length b4 marrying us and that was one of the topics.. he said that the children if they are not callling him daddy YET (he insisted they would eventually, which ive seen kids do, but i don't think mine will)
then they should call him mr roger or mr g.. he says it is respectful and i woudn't want mykids to call me myfirst name.. HECK NO!!!

i enjoyed the judge's talk, but we still have them call him roger, i could be mama quana? but that still sound silly.. we just like the informal way. i think he get respect from his actions not his name blush.gif ???

Quans,
I agree that was a tricky one. My boys call Ken...'Ken' or 'Steppy' (although I hear them call him 'Dad' to their friends luv.gif and KJ calls me 'Mama too or two'...whatever...you get the drift! laughing.gif

I think "steppy" is so cute! If I could get it to stick Tierra would call Louis that! I saw you wrote that somewhere before and told Tierra about it... she used it like twice and forgot about it sad.gif

Yeah Catty,

I know the boys go back and forth! However, I always TRY to refer to Ken as Steppy. "Where's Steppy? What did Steppy say...." It's tough though b/c who knew he was going to be their Stepdad when we first started dating???

I agree with you, Gill - I had the same fight about DJ's son - one trip, he knew all his multiplication (he's 6) = next trip, he had been at his other grandmothers - he couldn't remember them! I'm super excited because I FINALLY was about to get "free" round trip airfare to Montego Bay!

I'd been checking daily since finding out the interview date, HOPING the price of the flight would go down... but nope. It was stuck at $507 every single day. The other thing I hoped would happen was that my 20,000 bonus miles from the Continental MasterCard would go through in time for me to get a flight. Every day I checked it, but my # of miles hadn't changed. Until today! kicking.gif I was able to use the bonus miles & pay taxes/fees ($52) for next month's trip. That savings will come in VERY handy. star_smile.gif

this reminds me of a story on the news a couple weeks back where this woman was drunk and high as hell and drove full speed down the wrong side of the road and killed a bunch of ppl including herself and most of her CHILDREN who were in the car with her

Yup, now they are trying to charge the woman's husband because he knew she was drinking alcohol & smoking weed before she left on the 5 hour ride back home to Long Island!! The crazy part is she was going the wrong wat for TWO MILES!! Those poor kids must have been scared as hell...before they died! So sad!

gilly beans..
sound like baby mama is cooperating and making this an easy transition .. i know kj is kind of young, sometimes women can still have feelings and try to use the children as manipulation..
roger not sure how 2 of the kids mom will react to him wanting them here..

Yeah, KJ's Mom is aiight! I just REALLY want him up here b/c I don't think he is getting the attention a 3 year old boy needs! He's such a sweet boy. They happen to live in the Garrison. Ken refused to go there once it turned dark. I just started thinking...this is where our Baby LIVES!!! He's so smart & fast...he is overdue for school! She says she is sending him...but from my testing him...I don't think so! Trust me we send her a nice pissa change every month to tek care of him and I don't think even 50% of that $ is going to him!

She sent him with NO clothes & a pair of busted up sandals...Ok, fine...cause I bought a suitcase of clothes for him anyway! Gurl when mi guh fi put on him shoes...THEM DON'T FIT!!!! We spent over $200 on shoes for him. Couple of sneakers, sandals, flip-flops, church shoes, school shoes! She told us the wrong bloodclaat size!!! I WAS LIVID!!! mad.gif I asked her THREE times cause I knew that what she was telling me didn't sound right...but I figured she's the Mother...she must know!! I didn't really care about the $$. It just pissed me off that my Baby didn't have a descent pair of shoes. Then she asked about her $$ for this month! I told her you need to sell the shoes we bought for him and collect yuh $$! She was pissed, but Ken knew I wasn't playing! So then we had to go to town and buy him new shoes!! Of course for almost double or even triple $$ what they cost in NY!! I even told Ken that we should talk to his Sister about taking KJ until we are able to file. She lives in a much nicer area and she has to boys that KJ could go to school with and learn from! I made sure Ken went to Super plus and filled her house wid food! So she had no complaints, KJ had clothes, shoes & food...what else she need she can get once she sell those too small shoes! CHO!!! wink.gif

Will I still have to do the removal of conditions? how come my friends green card expires in the 2 yrs of her marriage and my hubbys expires in 10 years?!!

Hello all, I have a question regarding my husband's green card expiration date!
I was a little confused about something!
I have a friend that got her permanent residency card thru marriage and K3 visa her green card expires as usual in 2 years. My hubbies green card expires on 2019. Will I still have to do the removal of conditions? how come my friends green card expires in the 2 yrs of her marriage and my hubbys expires in 10 years?!!

Hello all,

Hope all is well with everyone. Congrats to all the new approvals etc.

I'm doing well. No divorce yet, but we haven't talked in over a year. lol

I've prepared all the paper work and all that I just have to get it filed. I'm starting to feel like if I don't have a proposal to remarry then in two years I'll help him again. He'll be older and more mature. But then I think it's his problem and I need to be legally divorced (all the girlfriends agree). I don't think I'll ever get back with him but I just have a soft spot. He's friends thought he was suicidal for a while. *snicker*

Maybe in two years I can give him the chance to get back one of the things he lost. Never me, of course

any thoughts

Hi Empress,
Welcome back...so glad to see you!

I truly believe that G-d opens windows...when doors are closed. Only you can make the decision if you want to finally close the door that was your marriage. Trust me I get it ...I know. I was separated from my ex-husband for 6 years going back & forth divorce or try again. It wasn't until he got another woman pregnant that he made the decision for me.

Sistren, when my divorce came through...can I tell you I swore off men at that point! NEVER AGAIN!! Then a month later I met Ken and I made a liar of myself. blush.gif But, I couldn't be happier. The whole time I was separated I never met, talked to or interacted with another man. But the second I closed the door of my first marriage, God opened the window for my true love!

You choose, but whatever choice, just know it's the right one for you! luv.gif

Bless-ed love,
Gill

Lawny,
Right there with you on the Fritters!! I harassed poor Ken until FINALLY he made that for Sunday Breakfast. He made a ton...the whole time mumbling he don't want to hear nothing bout 'FLITTERS' (ugh!) til Christmas!! I just ate the last of them this mawning! whistling.gif laughing.gif

Lawny - he cooks EVERYDAY...and he cooks Jamaican food everyday. I mean he may fry chicken and chips...lol. But it's only stuff he gets in jamaica. He can't get the nerve to buy the $13 can of ackee. So we don't have that. It's not my favorite. I eat the saltfish and leave the ackee.

ME TOO!! I love cook-up saltfish plain...no ackee or anything. Just me, the saltfish and some hardo bread will make due! good.gif

Gill...I did some research as we were in the same boat for my husband's daughter. It's cheaper for me to file I-130 as Stepmother then to pay to adjustment separately. Plus it give us time to get everything together before she comes up. It should take about year from filing.

OK...good deal...PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED!!!! It's so darn confusing! So on your AOS...you left hubby's daughter off right?

heart.gif,
Gill

I listed her as his daughter on the info part but I didn't include a separate AOS (I-485) for her. Only did AOS for him.

Ok....cool, that's what I'll do!

Thanks again!!
