Jamaican name Arlene

A Jamaican guy walks into a whorehouse in New York and asks, "You have a girl work here from Jamaica name Arlene?"
"Yes," answers the madam. "Go on up to Room 6." So the fellow went up to Room 6 and knocked on the door. When the woman answered, he asked "Yu name Arlene, don't it?"
"Yeah man, a me dat," replied the woman.
"Well, a have a couple Hundred dollas...." he proudly announced.
With that, the hooker interrupted him, grabbed the money, opened the door wide and hauled him by the shirt into the room. After a little rest from the vigorous sex, the fellow got up to leave. "Will you be here tomorrow?" he asked.
"Yeah Man," Arlene said, "Me will deh yah."
The next night, the fellow comes back and gives up $200. When they were done, he's sitting on the side of the bed, and asks. "Will you be here tomorrow night?"
"Honey," replied the hooker, "Mi deh yah every night fi you".
Night comes and the fellow was back in action. When they were done, they are both sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Tell me sumthin'," Arlene said, "what part of Jamaica yu from?"
"Portmore," replied the fellow with a satisfied grin.
"True ? Me have one sister live inna Portmore yuh know!" the hooker exclaimed.

I just saw that someone posted this in Craigslist and I thought it was Hysterical...cause this is so me & my life blink.gif wacko.gif !!

******************************************************

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the
week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office
to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I
had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was
already around 8:45am.

The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have anytime
to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over

hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to
be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my
pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and
gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least
presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some
clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was
called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped
up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended
that I was in Paris
or some other place a million miles away. I was a little

surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort
this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of
the day was normal ... Some shopping, cleaning, cooking.
After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out
from the bathroom, "Mommy, where's my washcloth?" I told her to
get another one from the closet.

She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it
had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."

I am never going back to that doctor. EVER!

A second Master's you go girl!!!! I barely want to finish the master's i'm working on, LOL What is this 2nd degree going to be in?

If there was a way, I could move into teaching without taking a paycut, I would be all over it. I think it's great for people who have kids.

yes.gif I agree Jengles!

I am going for a MA/PhD. in Secondary/Higher Ed Counseling. I got a MBA because I was working at a college that allowed you to earn a Masters for free! So, I took advantage of it thinking I would go back into business when I completed it! I then fell in love with Higher Education Advisement and applying for positions w/i Higher Ed w/an MBA gets me this kindda look blink.gif blink.gif ...so my present school offers a MA in Secondary/Higher Ed Counselling for free so again, I figured might as well take advantage. Although Ken wants me to take advantage of their Law School, but that's just WAAAAAYYY too much work and NOT free...ATALL!! no0pb.gif

So Jengs, what is your Masters going to be in? Are you almost done? Hang in...it soon come!! good.gif

The automated system says this morning that they have received the checklist letter as of 12/3/07......Does anyone know if it will take another 2-4 weeks before they case complete it......or since they have reviewed it once before, could it take less than that?

I am only hoping and praying that we make a January interview date..........

The Monkey & The Lizard

A monkey is sitting in a tree smoking a spliff when a lizard walks past, looks up and says to the monkey, "Wha gwaan?"

The monkey says, "Yu wan some?." So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey and they burn the herb.

After a while the lizard says his mouth is 'dry'and that he's going to get a drink from the river. The lizard climbs down the tree, goes to the river and leans over to get his drink.

Well, the lizard is so high that he leans too far over, and falls into the river. A Crocodile sees this and swims over to the lizard, helping him to the side, then asks, "What's the matter with you?"

The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting in a tree smoking a spliff with a monkey and got too high, and that caused him to fall into the river while taking a drink.

The crocodile says he's got to check this monkey out and walks off to where he finds the tree and the monkey is still sitting and puffing on his spliff. He looks up and says "Hey you!"

The Monkey looks down and says, "A wah de RASS claat dis?! ... Bredren, ah how much water you drink so?!!"

On Sams247.com (an online JA grocery) they have subscriptions you can get to JA papers. I am thinking about getting the mister one for his Christmas gift. Do you all get the local JA papers through the mail? Anyone? It almost seems to good to be true.

Yardie, I actual buy my weekly paper for Sams Caribbean Marketplace...it's the same Sams247.com. However, the original market is about 5 minutes from my job. So I usually stop by there on Fridays after work and pick up my weekly Star & Gleaner, plus some Golden Krust or Royal Caribbean patties for my boys.

I have heard of people getting it through the mail and I will vouch for Sams they are VERY reputable...that' sounds like a sweet Christmas gift luv.gif !

An American In Jamaica...

A young man truly in love with his girlfriend decided to have her name tattooed on his #######, her name was Wendy, and the tattoo was done while the ####### was erect, so when it was not erect all you could see was W Y.
Shortly after the couple was married and they were honeymooning in Jamaica, the man was in a bathroom in Jamaica, and standing next to him was a Jamaican man who also had a W Y on his #######.

The American said to him "Oh is your girl named Wendy too?"

The Jamaican replied, "No, Mon that says, 'Welcome To Jamaica Have a Nice Day'".

Good News!
As of yesterday, a visa has been printed for Milan's husband. I am pretty sure that he should receive it today. kicking.gif No word on my husband's visa yet.

I just wanted to say how great my congressman is. I only filed my I130 at the end of October and he is already contacting the VSC because I havent heard anything (even though it is normal that I havent heard). I just know he will be a great help and it makes me hopeful that this process can gain more speed than I expect!! I just pray that we all get SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!
WOO HOO!!!

Wow! It hasn't even been a month yet and your congressman is investigating? Did they say they were gonna put an expedite on it or just find out what the hold up is? I hear that USCIS says that you shouldn't expect NOA's to be considered late until after 90 days! Thats crazy. But once you get an NOA1 its not that much further off for a NOA2 so end the end processing should equal to being the same as previous cases before the fee hike. Lets hope.

I've just mentally made it clear in my head that Evan won't be here til August-October of next year. This way I don't even stress. I got way too much time to go in this process before I start losing my mind.

Very smart move Lita! good.gif It looks as if the CSC is really cranking out those NOA2's. Shrewdie, you should be good too, cause if you check the stats K3's and CR/IR's are being processed quite a bit quicker than K1's via VSC.

It's torture waiting on the NOA2...the VSC will not consider the NOA2 late until 180 days past NOA1 date! Right now my adjudication date says January 1, 2008!! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif (When I first filed it was said October 15, 2007) At this point I'm just hoping for a March/April Interview!

When they hiked up the fees, they didn't plan (that's a shock)for the type of response they recieved! So now it's a scramble to keep up! The NOA2 approval time (for K1's) for VSC went from 105 average to 144!!!

Anyway, I'm hanging tough and trying not to think about it too much! It helps that I'm going down in January. I gave up on that 'waiting til we get our interview, to come back' junk. I'll just go back for the Interview also!! good.gif I never need an excuse to go home!! laughing.gif laughing.gif

About how much did you guys make running taxi?

Hey Shrewdie,

Dem can mek a nice pissa change still. Anywhere between $500-1200 JA. per day. What we do is, Ken has him run it for him 5 days and 1 day is deh drivas portion. The guy we have has been absolutely amazing. Very professional and ON POINT wid deh funds! When Ken comes up we will move it to a 4-2 day ratio, because the guy is so good. We don't want to lose him. Plus he will be doing extra errands like bank deposits for us and dropping off piece to Ken's brothers. The only problem is when deh ride break down...but thus far it's been minor.

Gill

P.S.- That's great news about the I-130!! good.gif

Hey Gill,
thanks! Two guys we asked told me that we can make about 8,000 JA a day. I thought that might be a killing. These were two guys that dont even know each other..maybe it depends where you live? I am hoping they are right. hmm...
Where do you guys run taxi?

Yes Shrewdie,

You're right...I stink at Math laughing.gif ...around $100 US dollars a day is what I was going for!(which is equivilent to $7000...duh) We run between Mo Bay - Falmouth (trelawny). But it's a hustle cause dem pack up deh people like sardines fi mek dem $$. I don't even use the taxi when I go down. We usually just rent a car...cause my big body likes SPACE!!! jest.gif

We are still engaged. Donna was overwhelmed with entry into this country and having a wedding to plan for. Since we've backed off, our relationship is back where it needs to be. We are getting close to the 90 day date for the K-1 visa. If our marriage takes place after the 90 days, what will we need to do? Will there be a problem with the AOS?

Hi Jay,

Unfortunately, from what I have read, I believe that no extensions are given in K-1 cases. Donna would be out of status and that will have an effect on obtaining an AOS. She will probably need to go back to JA. and re-file when she feels ready to get married.

You may want to give USCIS a call just to verify. I wouldn't give tham any specific information leading back to you or your case. Just ask them general questions.

I'm glad that you and Donna have worked through your issues. The whole process is very overwhelming. I can only imagine how she must feel! Jay is it possible that you go to the City Hall & get married, just to ensure that you meet the deadline and plan a bigger wedding later?

Hang in there and blessed love,

Gill

One Wish

A Jamaican woman was walking along the banks of Dunn's River Falls
when she stumbled upon a old empty bottle.

She picked it up and rubbed it, and lo-and-behold a Genie
appeared.

She talked with him awhile then the Genie told her he would grant
her ONE wish.

She said she heard from a cousin that she would get three wishes
if she ever found a Genie.

The Genie said,"Nope, sorry three-wish genies nuh real,
me is strictly a ONE-WISH Genie.So... what yuh want?"
The woman didn't hesitate.

She said, "I want peace in the Middle East. See this map,
I want these countries to stop fighting with each other
and I want all the Arabs to love Jews and Americans and
vice-versa. It will bring about world peace and harmony. "
The Genie looked at the map and exclaimed,

"Lawd Lady, A wah wrang wid yu? PLEASE BE REASONABLE!
Dem countries yah a war fi how much thousands of years.
Mi shut up inna dis bockle fi 'bout five hundred of dem dey years.

Mi nuh know if mi can grant dis one. Do Lady, mek another wish!!

The woman thought for a minute and said, "Well, I've never been

& house-cleaning, is great in bed FAITHFUL.
That's what I wish for... a good Jamaican man.
The Genie let out a long sigh, shook his head and said,

Then put water in a basin, have him soak his feet and use some of the dry skin softener you find in a nail/beauty store and the heel scrubber/scrapper (invest in a good one) and get to work...then put some African Shea Butter...REAL AFRICAN SHEA BUTTER (it's a thick yellow paste). A all natural herb shop should have if not, an African populated negihborhood grocer.

After you smear the shea butter on wrap his feet in cling wrap and put socks over it. If he can sleep in the socks over night...you should see a difference the next day...if not keep repeating at least once a week.

Good luck,
Gill

I am so stupid to ask this question. This is totally off topic. My husband needs a pedicure really bad! Do men get pedis. He had a cracked heel when he came from Jamaica and it has since got better But his toes and foot bottom needs work.Should I bring him to the nail store or buy those foot spas and do it myself . I want to surprise him. Thanks Ladies

ps I hope u guys dont mind..but I am Canadian and my hubby is Jamaican. I cannot relate or give advise on sponsoring ur spouses because in Canada it is way different(much easier) but I can relate to having a Jamaican husband in "Farrin".

Hey 1luv,

I would take a 'US' day...treat both you and him to pedicures. It may be a nice experience for both of you.
I know I intend to do that with Ken...AS SOON AS HE REACHES...cause I LOVE my Boo, ...but his feet are JACKED-UP!!!! laughing.gif laughing.gif

Blessed,

Gill
