Hello Gil + Pel,

Yes, send Originals when you can. I also sent in photo copies of the "proof". I ALWAYS made a complete copy of ALL my documents for my own file. This file was used for back up and my husband used it for his interview.

Best wishes to you.

you might wanna call the embassy and ask them to make sure. they will prolly say you don't need to. That is what happened in my case. ( different embassy/country but same situation )

The approved I-129F petition had a 4-month validity date on it - since your petition was approved 08/26, the 12/26 date matches up to that. Not sure why they put the date on the Visa but it is nothing for you to be concerned about. Congratulations on the approval. good.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFinally - Interview Date

Yes, there were a bunch of outside issues causing problems, however I'm happy that our interview is in Ankara. Everyone that I have talked to said that the interviews there are easy. Maybe 1 or 2 questions. I have visited 3 times and she has lots of pictures. I also have 3 reams of paper worth of MSN chats. My last visit was for New Years and we have bus tickets and hotel receipts along with pictures.

sounds like you are good to go! if you have enough proof of your relationship everything will be just fine.for the most people the interview takes only 5-10 minutes. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFinally - Interview Date

YEAH!!! Interview date after 1 year.

I must be a special case or something, but once the documents left my hands (in April 2009) everything got messed up. My fiancee talked with a friend that was going to help her file everything and they must have decided to walk the papers to the consulate office and drop them off instead of using UPS like I told them. After waiting 3 months for my fiancee to decide something was wrong, I then had her mail everything (including originals) back to me, so I could finish the process and get them mailed in. Documents took 3 months to arrive, the package had been opened, and half of it was missing. New originals had to be created along with new translations. However finally in December I had regathered all the information, had my fiancee send me the documents that were required, and I sent the documents directly to the consulate.

Oh well, I got to fly to Turkey over New Years. We have more pictures for the consulate.

whoooaaaaa!!! I was checking your profile and wondering why it took you guys so long to send the P3.now I know why... at least you guys are back on track and have an interview date now!!

Omg! I cant believe it! I received my approval. I thought I had to wait atleast another month to get it! We mailed off the original petittion on May 13, 2009 and they received it on May 18, 2009 and I received my NOA1 within a week after that. So, I never thought to hear this soon. Anyhoo... this is what it said....

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On September 10, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Sooo... I dont know what to expect next! I called my faincing balling... was sooo happy, and between us both we were wondering some things. And I would be soo greatful for anything who could asnwer....

1. What comes in the NOA2 packet?

you are going to receive your NOA2 hard copy. no package or anything at this time. your service center will transfer your case to NVC and NVC will transfer it to the embassy in Morocco then your fiance will receive a package w/ instructions. he should check the embassy web site. you guys will find the instructions for the package there.

2. Does the instructions for him to visit doctor for physical come in it?

comes w/ the package which the embassy will send. you can always find the instructions on the embassy web site tho.

3. How soon do you think he may get his interview scheduled at embassy?

hard to say... depends on the country... vj ers from morocco can give accurate info for this one I believe

4. I guess at this point I am going to have to mail him a copy of everything I mailed to emabassy?

after you receive your NOA2 hard copy, yes. cause you will have to send a copy of NOA2 . you also need to fill out I-134 form and gather its supplements.

K1 visa guide

check out this link. especially " What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2) " part since u r done w/ the first part already smile.gif it will help you a lot.

QUOTE (southpaw440 @ Sep 16 2009, 11:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi guys! my fiancee will send our I-129F this week. we need to know if we should include EVIDENCE OF ONGOING RELATIONSHIP. the USCIS site does not include it in the requirements. i feel that we should include phone bills, letters, photos already and not be ask for RFE, right? thanks a lot! God bless!

yes u should.

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum,
but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE.

1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.

2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a company such as kodakgallery.com. You can also make duplicates of photo's at your local photo store (Walgreeens, CVS, etc). Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back.

3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

also check below link for more info about filing I-129F

Good luck smile.gif

For probably the millionth time on this site:

Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

Signature_________________________________
Date Typed Name
Address

See Tips on Assembly

That is all NOTHING more.

Thank you. That is ciorrect. I did not attempt to find it as it has been printed here so many times. This certification, attached to the translation, is the only thing you need at ANY US CONSULATE IN THE WORLD, that includes TURKEY. It is also all that is needed for the USCIS for petitions or AOS papers

he can go ahead and try it. I would love to see what is gonna happen.

Can somebody please explain what a "certified translation" is? What makes it certified? Who does them? Where do we go?

In a related question, if his birth certificate is in Turkish, but there are English (and French) equivalents on the back, do we still need a certified translation?

he needs go to a translation center. I think your fiancee is Turkish. Tell him to go to a certified translation center ( yeminli tercüme bürosu )

for ur second question, I don't think you need a translation for that doc since it is an original doc and already in english on the back ...

Not correct. ANYONE competent in both labguages can do the translation. Even yourself. The certicification isa statement which says the person doing the translation "certifies" that they are competent in both languages and it is a true and correct translation of the original document. They sign it (does NOT need to be notarized) and give their name, address and phone number.

My wife has done dozens of translations for Rssian and Ukrainian documents. Translation requirements for other countries DO NOT apply to the US Consulate or USCIS and regardless of what translators in other countries are required to do, the translation MUST have the "certification" Be sure you have this included if you use a foreign translation service.

I do not think I am wrong cause that is how it works out here in TURKEY. so he needs to go to a translation center ...

According to the timeline, it takes 93-110 days from when the embassy receives the paperwork from NVC to have the interview. I have noticed that that is not always the case. Does anyone know what factors into the interview date?

Hello everyone, I am not sure if this information is already available in another topic, but I did not find it. My question is, how does one know when a case is forwarded to NVC after the NOA2 approval?
Also, how can you know when NVC sends one's case to the beneficiary's embassy? Thank you in advance.

you need to call NVC and ask them if they received your case. you will need your receipt number written on NOA1.
Same thing if you wanna learn when NVC forwarded it to the embassy.

Gil,

In your above post (since I only am at the "waiting for NOA2" stage)
might I infer that the receipt numbers on your NOA1 and NOA2 are
the same? You indicated that the receipt number is the reference
used in calling the NVC, an event which would have happened
after your NOA2 was received. If the receipt numbers were different it
wouldn't make so much sense to reference the NOA1 number unless
it was the same as the NOA2. Am I off base on this?

yes you are right. they are the same numbers. I just thought the OP might not have received the NOA2 hard copy yet since he/she did not mention it. that's why I said NOA1 cause he/she will need the number when he/she calls. sorry if I caused some kind of confusion.

by the way, you do not have to wait to receive NOA2 hard copy to call NVC. you can call them a few days after your case is approved.
