we have the hard copy of the noa2 now, however, we're confused with what my SO needs to send to me and when?

does he have to wait for some kind of document in the mail, or should he just send me the copies of everything he sent at the start of our process?

i mean he needs to send income details and stuff like that right?

sorry. i'm so confused. unsure.gif

i know you guys won't let me down. lol. you never have yet. and we really appreciate any help given.

ok. well we've received the hardcopy of the noa2 thing.

do we now just wait? and sorry for being a dimbo, but what receipt number do we have to use to call nvc when we do try?

or should we just wait until they contact us? that's the procedure right? nvc sends a letter stating our case has been sent to the embassy?

we don't actually mind this part of the waiting. tongue_ss.gif

basically, do we just sit and wait now or do we stalk folk?

The trick is to sit back and wait! They couldn't possibly give you any information on your case so early.

There are no shortcuts unfortunately.

But if you check some timelines on here you'll see folk are still waiting that filed over a year ago.

You need the patience of a Saint or of Estadia, Zeenusah and countless others. You may want to look up their timelines on here. blink.gif

Well, my fiance had his interview this morning and since I'm EXTREMELY meticulous with paperwork, I made sure he had absolutely everything that was required. So my fiance was given a blue courier slip saying "Approved pending missing document" and he needs to go through another layer of paperwork and of course, more fees, before we can send back the passport and get the visa. It's extremely infuriating, especially because we were given no official notice of this new regulation.

There have been a number of posts in the UK forum with regards to the new police certificates.

You have now clarified for us that the old ones are no longer valid at all.

From previous posts and on the Embassy thread it does state that the old style would be valid for up to August 08.

Obviously not the case anymore.

I have them both now. Phew!

ok. i know it's a bit sneaky but hey.........according to our timeline we should've at least of been touched by now.

as a result of his call we have been touched twice in two days, and even though we're still waiting another two weeks from now, at least we know they have the file there and it's not lost in some dark, dank, corner of some stinky storage unit. blink.gif

Oh, Roselinda I feel for you! From your timeline, you sent your application before me, so I'm sure your file will be approved very soon. I wouldn't worry about your SO not being able to call, we've never made a single call to USCIS, and I have never seen any evidence on these forums that calling makes any difference. Also, lots of people get approved without ever getting a touch, so who knows, next time you log in you might just be approved!! I hope so. rose.gif

On the downside it seems CSC is actually going backwards with regards to processing times.

The gap between them and VSC is over a month now mad.gif

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to this but have been having a good peek at the forums on here and they've helped me so much. So thanks for that!

It's my partner that has filed for the K1 visa as he is an American citizen, but all this would be double dutch to him so i thought i would give it a go.

Not sure where to begin.

We have our NOA1 already which has been dated 31st October 2007.

What do I post on here next? Duh?

I'm still shocked at the length of time it takes to go through this although I've been over a number of times and will be going over again in the New Year.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsStill Confused re AOS fees!
Hi All!

I've posted this in the Uk forum and figured I'd try here.

It's been a while since I've been on here and I have no excuse.

I've settled in nicely here in Indianapolis and couldn't be happier.

My son starts Kindergarten tomorrow he's well excited. lol

We've booked a simple ceremony for Aug 29th. Can't wait!

I'm actually leading up to asking for some info...yet again!

Ok. I've looked at what I have to download etc, with regards to AOS but what we're confused with is how much money we need to send?

I'm guessing I have to pay for both my 5 year old son and myself right? I just can't work out how much in total this will be. I've really tried to work it out but the AOS form and payment page is so confusing

Can anyone point us in the right direction with regards to how much roughly we need to send in once married?

Really appreciate any help and advice given as always.

Just to add i've been over to see my SO a few times since the K1. As i took my son with me who is in his father's name the first question that totally threw me was '' where's his father?'' ha! first thing that came into my head was ''he's probably down the pub or doing his girlfriend''. it was a shock reaction.
I now work for American Airlines so i'll be going over again next week for training. It's not where my baby lives and there's a group of us going so hopefully once again i'll have no problem.

One last thing..................why haven't i been touched? mad.gif

Apart from the last two weeks when I was over in the States with my sweetie, I have not been touched since 15th November?? unsure.gif

Is this normal considering according to VJ my estimated time is the end of next month?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 - Will this be enough evidence?
We're about to file our I-751, and we really just wanted to get a second opinion on our evidence list, to see if we're missing anything obvious. Here's what we've got:


Copy of the front and back of the green card.
Sworn affidavits from friends and family attesting to our relationship and marriage.
Copies of our tax transcripts for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
A letter from my employer showing a joint healthcare policy and that my wife is the primary beneficiary of my life insurance and 401k.
Copy of a health insurance card from a previous provider also showing a joint policy.
Letter from our bank showing shared bank accounts.
A copy of our car insurance policy showing shared coverage.
Itinerary detailing a bus trip taken together in 2011.
Copies of various mail addressed to both of us.
Various photographs of us together.
Copies of both of our drivers licenses, showing shared residence.




I should add that the reason we don't have any bills listed is because we've been living with my mother-in-law since I moved here, and everything is in her name. We feel like we've got everything else that would be reasonable to have but we want to be sure, so any suggestions are welcome.

Just curious how long does it take from when the embassy receives the packet 3 to when you are notified of the interview date. Do they send it back as part of packet 4? It just seems as if the closer to the end the longer it seems to be taking! Scott already had his medical and all we are waiting for is his interview.

We sympathise with you. I check the Timelines everyday. We are also expecting our Packet 4 any day. Watching the Postman come and go each morning with no news is a Bummer!
Especially for you when you see that someone (Linda & Chad) who sent their Packet 3, 3 Days after you, received their Packet 4 on the 15th! With an interview date for the 10th June.
I find the lack of order really frustrating. It makes you wonder whether there is ANY sort of system at all.
Anyway, On the bright side....You and I MUST BE CLOSE......Musn't We??????????

We received our Packet 3 on the 15th April and returned it the same day. lol

I called the DOS line a couple of weeks later and they said it was too early to be given an interview date as it was only received by the embassy on 20th or something like that.

But the next call, they did say the interview had been scheduled!

We really haven't paid anyone off to jump the queue! Trust me!! laughing.gif

I found calling that number so much easier and cheaper than calling the embassy direct.

i had my interview tuesday and from my experience all she looked at and kept copies of was the police cert, birth certificates, tax documents, letter from his employer and she took the passport photos.

i was not asked for a letter of intent although my other half did send me a new one. not notarised just up to date.

do make sure all your documents are photocopied as they do request to see the original and the photocopy which they keep.

it was quick and painless to be honest except the waiting in between call-ups.

it was over just like that. i even asked if that was it at the end. lol
