The are going to build this $119M dollar facility before even working out thier visa processes. That's brilliant...

Perhaps they will update the help received from the Call Center as well as the service from Delbros. Wouldn't take much to improve them!

unsure.gif Different building... Same sh!t... Go figure... unsure.gif One would presume that someone would catch a clue. On some level, this has to be frustrating for the facilitators of the visa process. Well, maybe not, when you think of how the government facilities operate there. The visa stage actually only operates a tad better. Phil-Am families maybe dealing with this nonsense for many years to come. Let's hope not, but it sure looks like it to me.

New U.S. Embassy Buildings Underway in Manila [CLICK HERE]

July 1, 2008

Present at the ceremony with US Ambassador Kristie Anne Kenney were developer Jaime I. Ayala and Jay Hicks of the US State Department officiating. Foreign Affairs Acting Secretary Francisco L. Benedicto and Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim also delivered messages.

The embassy announced that construction is expected to run through 2012 for a new consular public service building. Including more windows for passport applications. The windows include those for the processing and delivery of services to American and Filipinos who qualify for benefits from the Veterans' Administration and Social Security.

The US$119 million project was awarded to the Ayala-owned Makati Development Corporation.

Traffic in the vicinity of the embassy and the seafront will be slowed down by the construction, but in her remarks, Kenney asked the public to be patient.

Please thoroughly read the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. Most of your general questions will be answered there. The guide provides an overview of the entire process and detailed information on the visa stage in which you are about to enter. This is just a helpful and insightful suggestion.

oh geez.. there are bad apples all over the world they are not limited to the US... yeah these men probably had bad experiences with American women but you can't then turn around and say that all American women are like that.. that is just silly...

Very true!

With a globalized or multinational presence here on VJ, posts/threads like this can be taken the wrong way. However, this is within the Philippines Forum and not in the "Off Topic Forum!" So there is some flexibility to express Filipino Pride as far as it does not become a nuisance such that the TOS is violated, but I do completely agree with your point.

Philippinesgurls... be careful with what you eat..
This is very true! The biggest mistake people make (even Americans) is over eating and since filipinos (at least that I know) don't eat such huge amounts at one sitting, which is one of the reasons most gain weight. I only know one Filipina who has not gained wait since she has been here (almost a year and a half) and that is because of good genes and because she eats proportionally (small meals, oh, and she doesn't eat sweets much at all).

Look out ladies because if you eat this processed food and in large portions, even with working out, you may get the belly bulge. Hehehehe...

PhilippinesJust spoke with Delbros
QUOTE (Jon-n-Michelle @ Jul 29 2008, 07:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I just called Delbros, trying to get a specific date that our Docs were forwarded to NSO. Those people are COMPLETELY LOST!!!!!!!!!! They told me at first that they had already been delivered, then they told me that they hadn't been delivered yet, but they will send them this afternoon. How in God's name did these unprofessional idiots ever secure a government contract? They had no clue as to the whereabouts of our documents. To anyone else out there going through Delbros right now, PLEASE follow-up with them. Don't just sit back and hope that they do their job. Get on their a$$ and make them do it. I told Mr. Ray-Ann that I will be calling him again tomorrow for a progress report. If my work performance matched theirs, I would have my job very much longer.

If you were visiting the Philippines, I would open this statement with "Welcome to the Philippines"! As you may have undoubtedly concluded, their social/government ran agencies are very, very, very slow and the right hand has no clue what the left is doing, which includes our beloved Manila Embassy. So the best that you can do is to try to understand the process as well as you can, be patient, and continue to try and push everyone in the direction that you want them to move towards. Thanks for sharing and please vent anytime. We all completely understand...

Cheers!!!

Philippinesmy filipino fiancee's new name after our marriage
What is funny is that despite whatever the wife's middle name is or even if it's changed when you get married, the Philippines Consulate in Los Angeles, refuses to put anything else as the middle name except the beneficiary's former last name (when amending the passport to account for the name change). So go ahead and do and follow the Filipino way by making their former last name into their new middle name. It's whatever...

Good luck and cheers,

I am just astonished and saddened at how a few of you are acting.
