OOOPS did I just show my age yes.gif wink.gif

eh, Steve Perry MADE Journey who they were, for me.

same here....also,

oh sherry

And all of your points are... huh.gif Well, think of it this way, their light would still be a distant memory of great classics. However, with their new lead (who is very talented by the way), Journey has a chance to expand their legend and create new ones. Although I do not know the complete story, I suggest writing complaint letters to Mr. Perry who will not even speak to his ex-band members except through his lawyers, which is how the search and discover of their new front man came to pass.

You both seem like haters to me, but I could be misreading your points of view.

Firstly sorry if this is a repeat question but I've trawled through the search and not come up with my specific answer.

So I've got the point that you can go for this seminar before receiving the visa, you get the certicate and then just go back and get the sticker....BUT can you go while you are awaiting document verification when the embassy holds your passport?

Many thanks in advance of the VJ oracles delivering me the answer star_smile.gif

Yes! My wife did it successfully... With the visa stage of the process, results may vary. There are inconsistancies because folks that work in various aspects of the visa stage do not understand the process. For more information, please read Section 6.2 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

Good luck and Cheers!!!

As Riza said, NBI is valid for 1 year... I got my NBI first week of january this year and had no problem using it during my interview last May 21. (my NBI was more than 4 months old that time)

USEM will keep your NBI so why not use the NBI you got last march, it will still be ok.. and then get another one after you receive your visa just before you fly to the US coz you might need another one in the US.

just my 2cents worth... Good luck and God bless.

Thank you much!

That's an issue (a reall problem). Please call the USE and they will inform you of how to correct this error at their location. I would also have the USC contact their representative and have them inform USCIS of the mistake also in order to cover the error on all fronts.

Do you guys know which date from the KI Fiance Visa issued is the date that we are not supposed to have expired in order to get a SSN?

We already got married and mailed our I-485 so I think that the KI-1 visa expiration date is not valid since we did get married within the 90 days, but I am confused because in our passport we have the spapled white paper that has K1 visa number and says June 16 2008 and on the other side of the booklet we have the part that says visa with his picture on it and it gives an expiration date of September 03-2008

the 09-03-2008 is the one that we are not to let get too close for our SSN card correct?

thanks so much wacko.gif

For a K1 entry, you can apply for SSN up to 76 days after entry--14 days before the I-94 expires. You are too late and will have to wait for either the EAD or GC to get SSN.

I second that!

Upon arriving to the US, the beneficiary has a window of 10 - 76 days to apply for the SSN card. It takes approximately 10 days for the arrival record from the I-94 to be proccessd from the POE into the Homeland Security database. After 76 days, it is considered too close to the 90 expiration of the I-94 for processing of a SSN (for various reasons). As John has stated, it's too late after 76 days and the beneficiary will have to wait for the EAD or GC to acquire a SSN.

Cheers!!!

p.s. John, you are the best... Hopefully all is well and good with you...

PhilippinesWHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO PAY FOR DOCUMENTS VERIFICATION?
QUOTE (RyaNRiza @ Jul 7 2008, 12:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Since you already have your case number you can already pay your document verification. Just follow the instructions on how to do it. It should be on Sheriff Uling's guide.

Good luck and congrats for finally having a case number! good.gif

I have not written it explicitly into the guide, but I recommend waiting until the USE has the hardcopy case files from the NVC. Then, the beneficiary is free to pay for the document verification fee (in addition to the visa application fee) anytime upto a month before the interview, which only applies to the document verification fee.

Cheers!!!

Absolutely! In fact, I filled out all of the forms for us. My wife was my executive team (my red team) reviewing all the forms and highlighting all of the corrections that needed to be made. In addition, she organized the documents in preparation for the visa interview. It was our one-two punch strategy that worked out pretty well.

hey, what happened to there being only one Manila Embassy Interview Thread. mad.gif ya know, the one pinned at the top of the Forum. mad.gif
just kidding. actually it's a great idea to have it consolidated into one thread. having splintered threads seems to me to be counterproductive. If Shape wants to maintain this Thread, I say pin it. good.gif

I actually had that in mind, but I had not worked that out with Shape yet. Maybe we could use the Manila Embassy Thread for discussions and this thread as a log for folks to post their progress.
