PhilippinesBirth Certificate not returned by interviewer
I recommend obtaining (at least) two or three original certified copies of your birth certificate because during the AOS stage our CO asked to see an original/certified of our birth certificates. However, he did not keep them, but we did supply copies. Oh, you can call the USE and ask them to return your original certified birth certificate. No harm in asking, but they have been keeping originals... In fact, the pre-screener was very rude to my wife when she gave her copies. Good luck...

QUOTE (David-Mae Forever @ Jun 5 2008, 12:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Glad that things worked out great for the two of you. I must say that wouldn't be the first and last test on your relationship since you both need to make a lot of adjustments. But everything can be discussed and talked about. Don't be afraid to speak up and voice out what you ought to say. Open communication will help a lot. And also, don't be afraid to disagree on what he decides upon if you think you are not comfortable with it. We Filipinas tend to just agree on anything just to please our fiance/husband and that's not healthy to a relationship/marriage. Just remember, we have our own free will... use it if you must. Love one another and be patient with each other.

Good luck and may the rest of your journey together will go as smooth as it can get.

PhilippinesI-134
If you re-visit the USCIS website, the I-134 version that expires on 04/30/2007 is acceptable and downloadable [CLICK HERE]. Yes, please, please, please enter your fiancee and her son's names for question #10, and as far as relatioship portion of the question, you can put Ms (Last Name)'s Son, Reyln's son, her son, future step-son, or whatever best describes the current relationship. The reason for question # 10 IMO is to identify and validate that you have submitted an approved visa petition for your fiance and her son in preparation for the K1 and K2 Visas.

This is a very good question.

For #37 of the DS-156, the question is: Are any of the following persons in the US? (it is reworded to ask the question differently) or Do they have US Citizenship? Mark yes or no... (This question is solely to idently the U.S Citizens and has nothing to do with identifying the Visa Applicant(s)).

ANSWER: The only person from the US and who has US Citizenship is of course the U.S. Citizen (USC). Therefore, for the K1 Visa, please check yes to the left of where the fiance/fiancee is located (circle the appropriate title for the USC) and put U.S. Citizen in the space provided to the right. For the remaining boxes, please check off no and put "NONE" in the space provided to the right.

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

Thank you Ahmari for you patience with these crazy questions. And as Roy and Yazi said because her son is not my fiance then i would select "no" for that but "yes" for Relyn.

And I'm still looking for clarification on listing her ex anywhere on the forms as spouse or former spouse.....its just aggrivating to list him as spouse in any form even if divorced or annuled.

A return CHEERS to all,
Patrick

Not unless I'm going crazy, just getting old, or just missed the boat, there is no need or requirement to list any ex-spouses on the DS-156. I don't understand. Please advise...

QUOTE (David-Mae Forever @ May 19 2008, 12:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
During the first months of us (my then fiance and I) being together, I used to be so sensitive, childish, unreasonable and liked to pout if I didn't get things my way. Even after we got married, I still had those mood swings, occasional pouting and every now and then, some cold shoulders whenever I felt like it. Eventually, I have learned that it's not healthy. And that if there's misunderstanding or disagreements, we should talk it over instead of getting upset and keeping it to myself until we're both pissed. It takes a lot of adjustments for both of us. I still get upset every now and then but only if it's proper to feel that way. I don't take little silly things personally anymore as what my husband told me. He also said if something bothers me, speak up and we'll talk about it. I can say that our relationship/marriage is so much better now, no more pouting, no more silent treatments, no more long face. Marriage helped me become a more mature person with healthy outlook in life. I still get so quiet sometimes especially if I'm trying to get over homesickness. But my husband has learned to understand it and instead of pushing me by asking "what's wrong" on and on, he gives me some space until I'm out of it. After that, we talk about it.

PhilippinesDoc Verification Warning
I'm still very much disturbed and angry over the implementation of the document verification on top of a visa fee that should cover document verification. Moreover, as I previously stated, how in the hell is a non-government agency (DELBROS) supposed to verify the beneficiary's NSO documents. As far as I can tell, there is no waiver even giving them the right to inquire on the behalf of the beneficiary. Last time I checked, Delbros was and still is a delivery service. Hello! Moving on, the wording from the USE website leaves too much room for interpretation and ambiguity, which is disturbing. For example, "Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified. " Does that mean that sometimes they do and sometimes they do not, sometimes they will and sometimes they will not, and how is this all decided. They really need to be more definitive so good folks do not waste their money blindly having a “delivery service” verify documents (whatever). Does this mean no more AR in order to follow-up on questionable documents (as one of our members has implied)? Hmmm! They are so worried about fake documentation, but in my eyes this whole document verification seems fake (just a scheme for someone to get rich).

I don't like it... and that’s my two cents…

However, with their new lead (who is very talented by the way), Journey has a chance to expand their legend and create new ones. Although I do not know the complete story, I suggest writing complaint letters to Mr. Perry who will not even speak to his ex-band members except through his lawyers, which is how the search and discover of their new front man came to pass.
