K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhen will CSC K1 Visas approvals begin?
Since none of us really know when CSC is going to begin processing K1 Visas in volume. I created a poll to get your take on the outcome. Here are the results of your predictions of when VJ members will begin receiving K1 Visa approvals.

Out of 54 pollers

Week of July 23rd (This week)...........[ 17 ]...[31.48%]
Week of July 30th.............................[ 11 ]...[20.37%]
Week of Aug 6th...............................[ 9 ].....[16.67%]
Week of Aug 13th............................ [ 1 ].....[1.85%]
At a later date than mentioned above.[ 9 ].....[16.67%]
Let's wait and see............................ [ 7 ].....[12.96%]

Predicting when CSC will get the ball rolling is like playing the lottery and the grand prize is our loved ones.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSent in proof of ongoing relationship with petition?
Yes, we sent in the bare minimum, which included our YM instant message log showing all the dates that we chatted, our pics from my visit, and my passport stamped (departure/arrival). However, for the visa application we have enough evidence to fill a stadium (LOL!). Since we had more time to put together the package for the visa interview, we are more than prepared with substantial evidence of our relationship for the Consular Officer. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about all your success stories.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC RANT AND GENERAL COMMENT
My apologies! I meant to write that CSC is obviously NOT processing by the NOA1 date. I am speculating that CSC is processing by the IMBRA RFE receipt date and possibly the completeness of our K1 petitions. I'm sure they (USCIS SC... specifially CSC) are not aware of this community, which is tracking their progress, and we ca NOT make pratical sense out of what they are doing whatsoever... At least, not yet.

GOODNESS!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC RANT AND GENERAL COMMENT
The CSC approvals appear to be completely random and with the sample data (approvals) that we have to date a definite conclusion can not be determine. However, it's obvious that the NOA1 receipt date is how CSC is approving the K1 petitions. I do speculate (what many of us have read) that CSC may be processing our petitions from the receipt date of the IMBRA RFE and possibly the completeness of the K1 petition. Once more petitions are approved from VJ members, we will hopefully be able to at least piece this puzzle together ourselves, which has been the case since the implementation of IMBRA.

NOTE: I would also like to extend my sympathies to all those folks who were recalled, and a my deepest sympathies to those with lost/missing fills due to the recall... That's heartbreaking.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A question
I put "NONE" because my fiancee has not been to the US, and I wanted to avoid giving the Consular Officer amunition for stating that we "misrepresented" ourselves. Let's see what others have done...
Sheriff UlingMalePhilippines2006-07-25 16:20:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2's random??
The next couple of days will be crucial to really determine how CSC is processing petition, if there truly is a rational. Hopefully, we can determine when we'll all be approved, if the process of approvals is somewhat linear over time. It's unfair to those who have been waiting or previously approved because it becomes a lotter pick (so to speak). Looking at the recent CSC approvals, I would say the early IMBRA RFE receipt dates and transfers to CSC are priority. But like I wrote, until we see more approvals from CSC, we just don't know what's going on (and what's sad is that we may never know).

Hopefully, none of us has errors or circumstances that will further delay our approvals.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProcessing Times
It's great to have flexibility and autonomy in the workplace, but possibly not so good when it comes to public affairs. This type of disorganized chaos can only result in unfair treatment of those have been waiting longer and/or couples that were previously approved. They are all being trumped at the discretion of the adjudicator (if this is the case) due to the IMBRA compliance. Not to mention, we are all still very much in the dark waiting to see the light, and USCIS has not stepped up to the plate to give us any hope, guidance, condolences, or anything. It's truly unfair, but such is life. Hopefully we can all make it through this without too much damage and latent hostilities.

Let's continue to support one another and make it through this mess.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhile waiting for K1...
The law prohibits petitioners of K1 Visas from marrying in the country of the beneficiary. If married, you must change your petition to a K3 (for spouses). If not, your then wife will be refused at the Port of Entry (that's if you slip pass the visa interview without the Consular Officer knowing your true status). You can read up on the K1 and K3 process HERE. I'm sure that other more experience VJ members will chime in to give you more info.

Good luck and I look forward to reading about your success stories in whatever road you take.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAll the CSC Approvals these past 2 days
The answer is YES they could review, approve, or deny a petition in an hour or less. This will probably be the first and the last time we'll see petitions turning over like flap-jacks. I'm hungry! Anyway, I'm sure they're complaining as well because CSC is now handling TSC and NSC K1 petitions. LOL! So we're all sour!
Sheriff UlingMalePhilippines2006-07-26 12:09:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan I trust to processing timeline on my profile?
It's probably due to the recent approvals and/or VJ members altering their timelines. Since VSV and CSC are now both approving petitions (thank goodness... keep it up CSC), you can expect your timeline to shorten considerably. YEAH! Your next....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAre CSC Approvals Based on the NOA1 Reciept Date?
Honestly, HECK NO! There seems to be no rhyme, rhythm, rational, or reason for the random order of CSC approvals that have been affected by the IMBRA comliance. Check it out!

Is there a meaning to the madness?

The next couple of days will be crucial to really determine how K1 petitions are being handle at CSC. Hopefully, we can figure out when we'll all be approved, if the process of approvals is somewhat linear over time. It's unfair to those who have been waiting or previously approved (recalled) because now the process is lick playing BINGO. Looking at the recent CSC approvals, I would say the early IMBRA RFE receipt dates and transfers to CSC are priority. But like I wrote, until we see more approvals from CSC, we simply can not rationalize what in the heck they're doing. Just don't stop the approvals. RIGHT! Hopefully, none of us has errors or circumstances that will further delay our approvals.

Question of the Day: What's the real deal with CSC and the K1 Visa process for approvals?
Answer: It's like trying to determine how many licks it really takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop? THE WORLD WILL NEVER KNOW. LOL!

That's a wonderful question because NSC has been the odd person (politically correct... I had odd man at first) out in the K1 process. Although, the approvals are just starting with CSC. Thank GOODNESS! Hopefully we'll see some movement today or tomorrow with the NSC transfers. I'm optimistic!

sleepless in OR - Your type of case makes me sad, angry, and frustrated. Your petition should be TOP PRIORITY. It's like winning the jackpot and them coming back saying... OPPSSS... we were off one digit. You're not the winner! Even though my journey has just begun, it's hard to keep your feelings in check when it comes to loved ones. We're all checking emails, checking our USCIS accounts, checking the forums for info, and checking our mailboxes. I'm pulling for you!

I want to extend a warm CONGRATS to "kurtwwalters." They were low key about it, but I wanted everyone to know that "kurtwwalters" also received a K1 approval on 25 July from CSC. YEAH!

Their timeline:

I-129F received 5/24/2006
NOA1 received 6/9/2006
RFE received 6/29/2006
RFE mailed 6/30/2006
RFE arrived at USCIS 7/1/2006
RFE arrival notice email (and a touch) from USCIS dated 7/6/2006
NOA2 Approval on 7/25/2006
Waiting for packet to arrive at the NVC....

NOTE: "kurtwwalters" please forgive me if this is out of line.... or I've offended you.
