Do the case workers at the service centers do it or does it go to a different agency like Home Land Security, FBI, etc. ? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Got my approval letter today	My case was dated March 22 and and handled through California office My approval date is September 11 so 5.5 months or so? What is average time remaining? CONFREAKINGRATULATION!!! Unfortunately, our embassy has the second longest waiting period of 120-150 wait until your interview. What is funny (sort-of anyway) is I got all worked up and called my congressman, made an appointment to see his secretary tomorrow at 10 am, and I start the "and I am going to tell them this and that..." Then I get an approval today. I was all geared up for a good complaining session. I should have called the congressman ages ago - he didn't even have to do anything. You had your complaint ready. I'm sure you were fired up. Well, at least you hadn't ranted and raved to your congressman's staff, then received the approval notice. Like opps! LOL! And will you be able to provide financial sponsorship for your fiancee should she need it? (Most Phillipinas do need a sponsor, and the anecdotal evidence is that the consulate in Manila takes a dim view of any sponsor other than the petitioner.) Yodrak Absolutely, as long as someone can send you the RFE (if applicable), then you will be OK (with that part). However as Yodrak mentioned, will you be ok with the affadavit of support? Will you need a financial sponsor? If so, I have also read that K1s may have a problem with any sponsor other than the petitioner.
