USCIS Service CentersMy Fiance has plan to go in laguna niguel USCIS!

I hear that CSC is a secure facility behind razer wire, motion sensors, cameras, and the guards shoot on site!

You will not het anything out of them. And if visit a local office they will not have answers.

LOL! My neighbors are probably calling the cops because I am laughing so loud!!!

meauxna - The FAQ Addendum, per john and marlene, is absolutely priceless. I love it. By the by, you may be right about your assessment concerning petition process and waiting time. What I feel is that it's like calling a company and always getting an automated system. Folks just feel better being able to have that person to person interaction they can pulse, get information from, make suggestion, or complaints. I must admit that some folks have been waiting entirely too long. Cheers and thanks for blessing my thread!!!

AndyMisiu - You may have hit the nail on the head. If USCIS had a direct customer service line(s) that we could pulse for info, the tension maybe subsided (a bit). Of course, that is if the information being relayed is credible and accurate... not to mention cordial. Thanks for the post!!!

Just posting in some replies from kitkat and nfs.

Um, yeah.

At least we would know our files had not been "transferred" to a pile under someone's desk gathering dust. It just adds insult to injury when you have to beg a senator or congressman, again and again and again, to find out if your case actually still exists somewhere in the black hole.

I have never before dealt with anything quite so weird as this! If you are approved fairly soon, that's fine, but if not, you just wait and wait and WAIT. No way to talk to anybody. No way to find out if it will happen tomorrow or next month or next year. You can't make any plans and you don't know if there's a problem simmering or what. That's really hard to accept! Considering that we pay fees, I would think they could do better. At least they could be handling applications in the order received and giving you a timeframe that wouldn't just shift every week or two. No wonder we are all going crazy!

Cheers!!!

To all overdue petitioners - If USCIS was proactive and effectively communicating about the status of your case even though it has taken this long, would that have helped ease your frustration? I put USCIS because as you may have read there are tons of poor souls that are overdue approvals (or at least a dahamn decision) at CSC, but there are some poor souls in the same situation at VSC. This is not to draw up any trouble, or to be disrespectful to many of your situations. I had read that this was one of the many irritations of those pending approvals. Therefore, I wanted to explore that thought of how much of a difference would it have made if USCIS was effectively communicating the status of your case, given the same situation? Please chime in on other aspects that could be improved or any other comments.

May you all find peace and resolve!

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

NOTE: I am NOT addressing recalled petitions. When USCIS recalled approved petitions, they completely crossed the line. It was an injustice that was borderline criminal in action, at least that is my opinion.

I agree with "john_and_marlene." The only thing that bothers me is that yet again big business prevails. The get to flash a few dollars and obtain premium processing leaving others in this agonizing process in the dust. What's new!

Asia: East and PacificManila customs question
Customs was a breeze. From the time I exited the plane, I was out in about 22 minutes. It was waiting on my darn luggage that took about 20 minutes. It appears that cardboard boxes shipped as luggage get first priority in the baggage claim at MNL. LOL! You will see...

from what i've read it not required to have the vaccinations to get the visa. they're included in the cost of the medical so might as well get them or at least some of them. they will be required to AOS.

Called the NVC on Aug 7th they told me my petition was sent to Manila. Cool! Spoke with Manila twice they said it has been there since Aug 14. Cool!

No letter ever received from NVC stating it was sent?

whatever.
