US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionGuilty until proven innocent...
john_and_marlene - Why would I post in the off topic forum concerning my analogy of how our cases are viewed at the Embassy level? There can be useful information passed commingled with a bit of fun and parody sparking conversation on any subject matter or thread. The disconnect only existed because I took offense to what "Yodrak" wrote. If he feels like the analogy doesn't make sense, then why post in this thread. He could have easily PM'd whomever he wanted to relay information or simply posted his what he wanted minus the ensuing negative comment. That was my only point and contention. I presume that I'm accustomed to the K1 forum where questions, ideas, comments, opinions or whatever are raised without scrutiny and judgment. Thus far, I have only see trolls scrutinizing folks. I apologize for presuming that the same type of love exited in this forum. For the future, I will only post direct questions in this forum to avoid this type of confusion/dialog.

Uling

p.s - If I have offended anyone then, I apologize.

Yodrak - Loosen up buddy! You don't see me raining on your parade. The whole purpose is to get a flavor for what people think and create dialog. I'm just here to have fun, learn, and exchange ideas. If you want to participate then GREAT, other than that please take your condescension to someone else's thread.

Don't be such a BUZZ KILL.

antoniostar - I actually copied someone's hyperlink and changed the naming prefixes until I found the flags I wanted. Usually most links use similar naming conventions.

Example:

Philippines (Phi) - http://www.virtualla...-2/asia/PHI.GIF
United States (US1) - http://www.virtualla...s2-2/us/US1.GIF
California (CAL) - http://www.virtualla...s2-2/us/CAL.GIF

Do you perceive the visa interview process to be guilty until proven innocent or innocent until proven guilty?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManila Appointment Dates SPEEDING UP???
Goodman - I spoke with the Immigration Visa Unit at the Manila Embassy last week and I was informed that we are in the que for an interview date which will more than likely be in November. All of the interviews in October are filled unless "Pete" is correct then we may still have a shot at an October date. What is weird is when you review the VJ timelines for the Philippines it's really hard to gauge how the interview dates are set. Folks with similar Consular rec'd dates may have interview dates months or weeks apart.

Pete - I have not checked but that is great news cuz there are a few of us in the que awaiting appointments. Hopefully this works out in our favor. Thanks! However, it could be an errant mistake and the intent was November 5... LOL! I'm betting that is the case, but you know that I really hope that I'm wrong.

YYB - There may be a brighter light at the end of the tunnel... YEAH! Keep your fingers crossed!

my husband calls the 5286300 number are the informations you get from the 1-909 number the same as when you call the 5286300 number? they keep on telling us to wait for their notification or to call back at the end of this month. which number is better to call?

It is better to cal the 011-63-2-538-6300 because you are speaking to the Embassy staff and not the call center. By the by, if it's not sensitive, what information are you trying to obtain?

Timeline - Oh, when we wrote for you to fill in your timeline. We meant for you to also goto the Immigration Timelines section CLICK HERE and create a timeline. Once you have done that you must go to your profile and select Timeline in order to link your timeline to your profile.

Cheers!!!

Question . My NOA1 is 3/29/06, & I was just reapproved. I wonder if the Embassy will start from the oldest dates 1st for scheduling interviews? Will the oldest be the 1st to processed as the recieve? I was an IMBRA Casualty...

Madison Man

First, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your beloved. I am of the belief that USCIS should NOT have recalled petitions that were approved and delivered to the consulates/embassies. PERIOD! It would have been less insulting to piss on your grave. I apologize but I am still very upset over that decision. It was unfair and simply wrong. I don't mean to stir-up any dormant anger or frustration that you may have concerning your case, but I really do feel for you. The recall was a bad decision in my opinion.

My apologies!

Now to your question... It's a wonderful question because the Manila Embassy schedules interviews on a first come first serve basis. However, I am betting like everything else in this wretched process that you case will be scheduled and interview based upon the receipt of the "reapproval" by embassy, which is pure non-sense Yet AGAIN!

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

NOTE: You can call the Manila Embassy at 011-63-2-528-6300 ext 5184 or dial 0 for the operator and ask for the Immigrant Visa Unit. Although our visas are non-immigrant , they are processed like immigrant visas. Therefore you must request for the Immigrant Visa Unit in order to obtain status or ask question concerning your case. Please post your findings if you do decide to call.

sillygirl my papers have been processed since february 2002, hubby filed an I-130 for me since at that time he was still an immigrant now he is already a citizen and i am just waiting for an available appointment for my interview, i heard that you can have medical exams before your interview is th is true? I have been waiting for almost 5 long years this journey is really hard for me i hope i get to hear something from manila embassy soon. my hubby keeps on calling them and they keep telling us to wait sometime at the end of this month for the new list of appointments. i checked the website www.usembassy.gov/manila/wwwfvisa.pdf for the list of interview dates but it was only up to the month of august the new list will be posted sometime this month. Goodluck to everyone and God bless!

Yes, you can and must take the medical exam before the interview. When your beloved receives packet 4 from the Manila Embassy, taking the medical exam at St. Lukes will be listed in the instructions. In fact, within my signature is the link to packet 4. By the by, can you please fill out your timeline and list what type of visa you have applied for because it helps others in their attempt(s) to help you.

NOTE: Per my conversation with the Manila Embassy staff, they advise that we do not take the medical exam too far out from the interview because the result could be labeled as invalid. My research reveals that most folks take the medical exam anywhere from a week to a month before the interview, which is acceptable.

Cheers!!!

sillygirl - Is that the call center number? I called the Manila Embassy direct at 011-63-2-528-6300 then dial 0 for the operator and ask for the Immigrant Visa Unit, which handles K1 Visas. DO NOT ASK FOR NONIMMIGRANT VISA! The best time to call is at 0730 (Manila Time). Cheers!!!
