PhilippinesK1 beneficiary has not received the packet with instructions yet
Please read Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. The USE does NOT mail Packet 4 nor the Visa Applications to the beneficiaries as of March 2008. However, the USE does send the beneficiary a letter indicating that their case files have been received and that they may schedule their visa interviews. For more information please reference Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

The stamp is given at the CFO office and not PRISM. Moreover, the beneficiary must have the visa in order to received the stamp. Since Maymay has completed the Guidance Counceling Seminar already, she will need to go to the CFO office and take the following:

1. Original valid passport;
2. Original and photocopy of visa;
3. One (1) 2x2 or passport-size photograph;
4. Ask for the registration form upon arrival
(they say that the forms are downloadable at www.cfo.gov.ph, but I completed the two applicable forms for my
wife and they were both either outdated or the incorrect forms);
5. Payment of P400.00 registration fee; and
6. Original and photocopy of the Guidance and Counceling Certificate

Cheers...

p.s. - If I've missed anything, someone please fill in the blanks...

I had seminar last July 2007 and my interview was last April 25th. In PRISM, they gave me certificate in yellow paper with my name and photo printed there and then I went to CFO and they gave me a certificate in green paper with my name and photo printed there too...,but, I don't have passport and Visa. So, I think when I'll get my Visa, I need to go back to CFO and bring the original and photocopies of certificates and get a stamp there for my passport..., Is that right?

Thanks. God bless.

Hi all,

My fiancee Kila passed her medical exam yesterday and her interview is scheduled on 5/20. I've recently read a lot of posts regarding documentation and associated horror stories. Kila and I paid the documentation fee on 4/30 and from what I have read, we are most likely not going to get our visa anytime soon because of document verification (Most people choose to pay even earlier prior to their interviews and are still waiting). That being said, I don't know if there is anything that we can do to change whether we will be in AR or not after the interview but could someone please explain to me how this process works and if there is anything I can do here from the US to find out what is going on? In particular what is going on between the USEM, NSO, and Delbros? What is forwarded to the NSO? When is this done? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

DW

1st of all this is a Random Procedure by the Consular Officer...

Please kindly follow this guide of document verification payment..

http://www.visajourn...howtopic=124332

This Guide is good to follow, but doesn't guarantee the outcome.. (Who knows what these consular officers are thinking)

You may or may not go through Docs Verification as its randomly done..

I just don't want people from blaming the creator of the Guide for following the procedure and still put to AR.

Like I said its a GUIDE..

Agreed! There only thing that is for certain is that as long as you have the correct amount of money for the fee, they will take your money. Other than that, there are systemic inconsistencies throughout the visa stage of the immigration process for various reasons. Try to complete all the aspects of the visa stage as required and stay on top of things. That's the best that you can do besides pray.

Cheers!!!

PhilippinesI BEG YOU SHERIFF AND CAPTAIN, KINDLY DELETE MY PINNED THREAD.. PLSSSS
Let's be fair!

What the individual wrote was not wrong. It's reality and probably another aspect that should be addressed until it’s corrected. There are many inconsistencies throughout the visa stage of the immigration process. Depending upon who you inquire information from those who work in the process, you can receive different answers and results. So there is some truth to the fact that an individual may do all the right things, but fate can deal them a bad hand. That's all that individual was implying. Unfortunately, this is all out of context.

For example, just recently someone had an issue where something did not turn out right and they stated that they followed the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. In response, someone wrote that the guide is just that... a guide, which could imply something more if I so desired to look at it in that context. Part of this discussion is about context and intent. I could have easily been annoyed by the comment and read something more into it that was not there. Does that mean that I lose sight of the purpose in which the guide was intended and deprive those who could really benefit from it by removing the thread entirely, based upon one person's remark when I know that the information that I'm providing is viable tool just as the document verification thread. The answer is unequivocally no!

Cheers!!!

Loterly,

Please re-visit your decision to potentially withdraw the thread from either being pinned or existing at all. Not everything that you do in this life will be as accepted as you may want it to be, no matter how great your effort(s) or result(s) may be. Unfortunatly and fortunately, that's just life. Many good people have received the fruit of your wonderful gift of experience. I strongly believe that there is still vitality in your thread that will lead to a great benefit for many other lost souls in this dreadful visa stage of the immigration process.
