Does your status on USCIS change when they send it to NVC?  Is it pointless to even be calling when it still says:   Post Decision Activity On August 20, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	I got an email from the consulate today and we booked our interview. Its not until Feb 12!!! Our NOA2 expires on Jan 9. Does anyone know what we have to do? Do we have to call someone to extend it?   Yup the interview dates for Montreal are basically a thousand year wait at the moment haha.  You can play the refresh game like I am planning to to attempt to get a sooner date..but no guarantees.  I figure we waited this long so we can handle waiting some more...all we know now is waiting haha!  It will be nice to not wait anymore	kc247	Female	Canada	2013-10-25 21:12:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	Does anyone know if once the embassy sends our the packet 3, does the "status update date" on the CEAC site change?   Mine did, I just checked, DOS told me packet 3 was sent to me October 8, and my status update is October 8 on CEAC.  I called October 8 and they told me Montreal still hadn't received my case and told me to call back in a week!  So I did and then they tell me packet 3 was mailed out October 8!  Wish I knew or I wouldof sent packet 3 last week instead!  Oh well 1 week won't change much.	kc247	Female	Canada	2013-10-16 14:37:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	Just spoke to a rep at NVC and was told to allow up to 8 weeks for transfer from CSC and then an additional 10-20 days for the case number to be put into their system. We were approved on 9/18....and the approval expires 1/17/2014. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	I was wondering if I put him as a spouse on the application since we will be getting married right after I get there. They also ask about my intended occupation.  I don't have any idea what I'm going to do once I can work there. Do you think that matters? They also ask about previous trips to the US. I've flown through the US on connecting flights where I had to go through customs. I don't know if these count. I also lived near the Maine border for a few months so I have no idea which exact dates I entered and left the US. And on the second page of the packet there is a check list of things we need. Do I send them to Montreal with the packet 3 forms or do I just gather them at this point and bring them to the interview?       I put myself as single, no spouse, because we aren't married yet.  There are some example forms on here for those forms that really helped me out.  I think for intended occupation I put unknown, and that I intended to work when I got work authorization . I found out all the dates I had gone to the US, & they wouldn't fit on the space they gave me so I attached a page to the form with all of the dates.  I think as long as you have a general idea of the dates that is all that matters, I don't think exact dates are a big deal if you don't know them.  The checklist you just check off that you have those documents (put n/a by what doesn't apply to you) and you send the signed checklist attached to the forms.  Don't sent the forms on the checklist, you are just stating that you have those in your possession to bring to the interview.	kc247	Female	Canada	2013-09-25 19:39:00

We called the NVC to ask about our case status and they said it was sent to the consulate on the 19th. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	Intent to marry is the statement from each of you (like the templates people were referring to)..not proof of relationship.  That is the proof of having met in 2 years (receipts, boarding passes, pictures, etc).   All we sent in were a couple boarding passes from trips (I only had a couple saved from 2 different trips), photocopies of passports stamps, flight itineraries, 2-3 pics from each trip (pictures are only secondary evidence...boarding passes..passport stamps, etc are more important), & credit card statements from one trip showing we were in the same place at the same time.  We sent a variety of proof from 4 different trips.  We didn't get an RFE.  We also signed EVERYTHING in black ink.. not thinking anything of it until afterwards when I heard it is better to do it in blue.  I was kinda worried about that, but there was no problem with it. I wouldn't recommend it though, probably just depends on who deals with your case!  But for packet 3 I am signing in blue ink juuust incase Also it would be sortof pointless to send in venues booked..honestly who would pay for anything like that right now with the chance of it not happening in time!	kc247	Female	Canada	2013-09-13 14:14:00

She thinks that maybe if I just remind them that it will speed things up. I told her to be patient...today is week 14 since NOA1 I told her that it will be soon, but this process is not for the faint of heart.    Calling now would just be pointless, unless it is over the 5 month 'average'.  I'm sure you guys will be approved soon...CSC seems to be popping out approvals like nothing right now so try to hold out a little longer!  Your noa2 is just the beginning!	kc247	Female	Canada	2013-09-10 20:37:00

Or is up to you to call and check? Our case wasn't transferred , we haven't heard from uscis since they changed the alien number of our case and until they sent us a notice of RFE.. What will happen after they review our rfe response? Will they transfer our case? Is it a big deal if some cases got transferred to another office? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 FILIERS	Yeah I was looking up stuff about that yesterday and from what I understand we do need to do it..at least for Montreal we do.  That is the only form I haven't done yet, since you can't really do it until you're going to actually send packet 3 since it is an online form.  (& need to scan a passport picture for it..)
