K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Did you try emailing csc? Coz they said you can email them if it's already 30 days and still no update on the case... i read that from some post in some forum... so that you can make sure that your case is not lost and they can tell you where your case is seating... I emailed CSC and they said if you have not entered a formal complaint with a Tier 2 official they cannot do anything via email.  I did not want to have a call back from CSC since the trend has been six weeks.   I emailed the ombudsman liason also and due to the shutdown their offices are closed.  They will help after 30 days and oversee complaints with regards to USCIS.  I have also emailed my senator and not heard back (surprise, surprise)!    I basically check the Immigration Timelines here everyday and am hearing that people are being approved from the last week of August though no one on Visa Journey has posted such yet.  This is from other groups on FB.    Other than that Tichi has everything he needs to get the ball rolling when it makes it to Germany.  I will keep you posted though! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	TSC and VSC petitioners have been sent to NVC in under one month.  CSC is almost 6 weeks and beyond.    We have been waiting 5 weeks and NOTHING yet.  We are patient because we received our NOA2 in 37 days.  If we all would've filed last year we would still be waiting for our NOA2s.  I know that waiting for something as simple as being shipped to New Hampshire should be easy but obviously for CSC it's not. Your case is my go signal to keep calling nvc because your noa2 is ahead of my noa2 for few days... keep posting pls... thank you... =) Still no word.  5 weeks today and nothing yet at NVC.  Timelines are pointing more towards 41-47 days now so I will check this Friday (37 days) and then again next week.   We have called and emailed everyone you could possibly think to talk to.  No striaghtforward answer and the Ombudsman is closed due to the shutdown, so no help there.    Just patiently waiting! I'm thru CSC and ours was approved two weeks ago now but still no word on where the case is. Ugh!! I called DOS & NVC today and both advised no case # yet & couldn't tell me anything about if my case was even there. Craziness! ;-)   Just so you don't drive yourself crazy....You will not receive a notification as rhirhi said.  CSC filers have not been receiving updates when cases are shipped to the NVC.  And the waiting time right now has been about 6 weeks to get a case number.  There are threads in the forums specific to CSC to NVC delays.  You can also pull the stats yourself in the Immigration Timelines tab.  I hope for all of us it speeds up but the folks who received NOA2 in the week of 8/19-8/23 are who is getting receipt notices. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Congrats to all the recently approved couples.   Btw, people calling DOS, do they have time frame to call say Mon-Fri XX am to YY pm to talk to someone? or can we call anytime?     They are open Monday - Friday and I believe the hours of operation are 830-430 EST.  It could be 8-430 though.  Somewhere close to that anyways. We were both happy that the next time we will see each other will be at the interview, but sad as being away any more is, as you all know, getting painfully hard! Ugh!  Anyway, called NVC today just for the <ah-hem> fun of it. We rec'd our NOA2 on Sept 20 so I knew it was a long shot.  NVC advised the "8-week wait" minimal so I called DOS and was told typically the current average is at 30 days. They were so nice they actually finished that sentence with "and feel free to call back tomorrow just to see if you may be a lucky one".  LOVE it!    SooOoOooo  those with NOA2's, just curious how long it actually took for you to get your case number (or how long you've been waiting if still hasn't been issued)?  I was trying to see where I could find this info myself but no luck    ((just trying to kill some time for now is all))   Thx! And was so happy to return and see all the additional approvals!!! Yay JULY FILERS!! DOS is very nice!  I would prefer to call them any day.  We have been waiting 4 weeks today.  With the estimations from timelines (that are very sketchy after NOA2s) we are expecting a case number around the 14th of this month.  Hoping for the 9th though.   You can check stats by going into the "immigration timeline" tab above, clicking on "K1 Stats", then selecting "K1" from the drop down and sorting how you like.  Over to the right is a button that says "enable advanced mode"  you will want to do that to see NVC data.   Good luck! Oh well. I was just going to wait for the packet 3 to get my LDN# to book the medical with as I'm not leaving til next July so medical will probably be booked for Jan/Feb of next year.   Seems strange that CSC filers aren't getting emails about their petitions being shipped off to NVC. I'm sure they could avoid a whole bunch of upset people if they just gave a reason for it. The process wouldn't seem like to much of a black hole then Yes, if you are not in a terrible rush then I would do that.    Perhaps at one time they did send out notifications but with the huge push of approvals it has been nothing.  i don't understand it but I am thankful that the NOA2 took 37 days when we assumed it to be 3-5 months.  Have to be thankful for any breaks we can get in this waiting game.   Have a great weekend! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Yeah, I was one of the super lucky ones who got an email notification when they sent our petition to the NVC. It was actually sent the day after our NOA2, pretty cool!   I really don't want to spend £££ calling numbers when the might not even be able to give me any information yet. Also, I'm in no real rush, I just like to be able to track things and get notified that things are still moving along. Does anyone know if you get an email/text/letter letting you know any of these things:   When it arrives at NVC When it leaves NVC When it arrives at the embassy Or is getting my case number the only way to track these things? I know it can be tracked with the case # at https://ceac.state.gov/ I'm just hoping I'll receive email/text/postal confirmation of these events too. Getting your case number is the only way to track those things from the numerous forums in VJ.  You don't receive an email once it has hit NVC because it is out of USCIS's hands at that point.  You will not need their site until you file for AOS.  I would wait two weeks and call if it were me.  That way they should have your information and have it processed and shipped to the embassy.    You need your case number for your medical exam if you want to get it out of the way.  Other than that you can wait for your Packet 3 to arrive from the embassy to you. They're coming through pretty quickly now, this makes me happy!   To those who are a little further than their NOA2: what happens next? Do you get letters/emails saying it's arrived at NVC/sent to embassy/arrived at embassy? What's the first thing you get (email/mail) with your LDN/MNL/etc number on it? I'm choosing not to phone up to ask for my LDN# but I'd still love to be able to track how things are progressing. There's spaces in the official timeline for NVC received, NVC left and consulate received so I'm hoping we get some form of communication to tell us when those things happen. From what I have read Vermont and Texas transfers receive email/text notifications when USCIS sends the petition to NVC.  California does not.    After it has been sent you will want to start calling the NVC or DOS to get your case number.  After you receive this number you can go to https://ceac.state.g...ker/Status.aspx? to check it's whereabouts.   NVC 603-334-0700 DOS 202-485-7600 (can provide the same info as NVC and are a bit nicer)	Tichi&Rachel	Female	Germany	2013-09-27 13:56:00

I was just wondering whenever i DO get approved, does it go directly from initial review to post decision activity?   It seems like it doesnt really move to the "Decision" stage for anyone - they are either waiting unknowingly at the "Initial Review," until suddenly they are approved and it is moved straight to Post decision activity.   Is that correct? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	So for those of you who have been approved -    On the uscis website when you check your status, theres essentially four stages - Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision and Post Decision Activity.   From the numbers I had checked which had approvals, it was on the Post Decision Activity stage - So my question to you is ... Does it actually go to Decision stage, or does it kind of jump that that and go from Initial Review to Post Decision Activity... OR .... did your status change to Decision some time between Initial Review and your approval? It will stay at "Post Decision Activity."  Because you were approved at Vermont or Texas you will likely receive an email/text (if you have signed up for them) letting you know your case has been transferred to the NVC.  Us, in California, though approved for NOA2 faster have not been receiving updates when our petitions were transferred and the wait time has been anywhere from 5-8 weeks.  Congrats your case is being transferred from VSC or TSC! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Sooooooooo happy to be reading all of this great news on recent approvals!!  I mailed our RFE back on Monday, it was delivered to CSC's P.O. box yesterday afternoon and unbelievably, at 11:45pm last night i received a text from USCIS stating that they were already REVIEWING THE RFE RESPONSE!!!!!  I didn't expect anything for at least a week or so!     Absolutely thrilled and hopeful!     Again, CONGRATS TO EVERYONE with NOA2 approvals so far!! YAY!!! Can't wait to join the approval party soon ;-) Congratulations!  Wonderful that they have started processing it so quickly!!   Hopefully it will be very soon now! Thx They have a brand new number: 202-485-7600.   Listen to the entire message and then push 1.  Then they will list off a bunch of options and then you will press 0 to talk to a customer service rep.   Just let them know that you were hoping they could help you find your case number on a recent K1 petition.  I gave the woman my receipt number.   They may not have it but the woman I spoke with was very pleasant.   Good Luck! They do not have our case in the system yet.    I know I was jumping the gun on that one but just wanted to see how calling would be.  I did not call NVC.  I called DOS as they can look up the case number all the same. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Does it matter where the beneficiary lives in determining when the NOA2 arrives?  I am looking at all the recent NOA2's and it seems none are from Russia, which is a little worrisome.  Is it possible that because my fiancee is from Russia that it will take longer?  The VJ timeline gives me an estimate of October - November.  I thought for others it was giving people September estimates?  I'm starting to get worried because there have been some problems which have caused her to have to leave her job at the end of October, so it would be nice to get an approval sooner than later! This part of process should have nothing to do with the country of the beneficiary.  It has to do with the luck of the draw in most cases and how organized your petition was.  Other than that unless you are a country that is on the protected status 5 months is the national average for processing I129F petitions currently.  Some are less and some are more.   Sorry it's not more precise but, I have read nothing that has given an explanation on why some are processed sooner than others. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Another July Filer had posted that they called DOS directly and by their timeline it appears it was about two weeks after they received their NOA2.  This is what they said basically:   Call DOS public inquires at 202-485-7600 (new number as of September 6th) press 1 then 0.    When they answer mention that all you're looking for is a case number for a recent transferred K1 Petition.  They won't be able to give you case specifics but they will give you a case number if there has been one assigned.    This might be easier than calling NVC direct and getting a confused operator.   Use this as you will, but we intend on calling in a couple weeks for our number and sitting tight until the German Consulate receives.   Congrats to all September approvals!  And those of you who haven't yet it's coming soon! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Hey all!   I couldn't believe it but I received my approval notice from VSC on Aug 13th and a paper NOA2 a few days later.  I was waiting on posting until I was sure it wasn't a fluke (there were a few posts of recieving a digital NOA2 notice in error.)  I called the NVC today and received my case number and my petition is in route to the consulate.  Now I'm sure it wasn't a fluke.  Hang in there everyone.  It looks like they're picking up the pace on K-1 applications across the board.  For the folks that just received their NOA2s I had shorter waits and friendlier service using the number below.   Call DOS public inquiries division on this number 2026-631-225 press 1 then press 0. You will hear an announcement that they are switching to this number 202-485-7600 on September 6th.  When they answer be sure to mention that all you're looking for is a case number for a recently transferred K1 Petition.  They can't give you much info on specifics of the case but they will give you the case number if it has one.   Best of luck to everyone!  I hope everyone gets their NOA2s quickly!   Awesome!  Congratulations and thank you for the information! The receipt notice will bear a TSC receipt number beginning with ?SRC?. The case will be processed by the TSC. The CSC will continue receiving Forms I-129F.
