K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	New - K1 Fiance Visa January 2014	Congratulations, that's awesome! About 1 week after it was shipped to NVC you can call them to ask whether it has arrived and if they have a case nr for you. Then you can use that on the Department of State CEAC website to track your case. It will be sent to the consulate and they will then send Packet 3 with instructions to your fiance   I don't know if you guys have started preparing the documents for the interview, but if not you could definitely start now! Well, I'm a January 13 filer and just got approved last week, but I think it was due to my congressman and senator putting in inquiries. I heard nothing for 6 months either. Hang in there! Lately they've been approving a lot of January petitions (see our very happy January TSC filers thread for good stories  ). I checked our case and it says it's "in transit", does that mean it's in its way to the consulate. That's only logical, but help me confirm. Second it says the interview date has been scheduled by the NVC, what does that mean. I thought we fill out the ds260 and then schedule the interview?. If they did, we have no notification of what date etc? Please advise guys. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	Hopefully within the next week sometime - most of my stuff is already packed and has been in storage .. so I just need to cull it some more and then send it off.  Karl came with me to the interview, and is going home today, I'm sending a couple of suitcases full of things back with him which means even less stuff for me to pack - mostly clothes.  I have too many clothes.   Wow, that's soon! I bet you have lots to do now then, with packing and finishing up things there! I hope all goes well for you. I have the same problem, too many clothes and shoes! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	Yesterday we had our interview, and we were approved.  We spent most of the time waiting around as the lady that we saw first that took all our documents put our case under a different number, and then when we went up for the actual interview part the "error" was discovered and so then we had to wait for them to fix that, which felt like it took soooo much time.  But when we went up the second time we were asked hardly anything it seemed, and then she handed me the little slip of paper that said that we were approved.  I was so so so so happy!  Now to organise moving!   Yay, congratulations! That's awesome! When are you moving? I'm working on moving too, packing boxes and cancelling stuff. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	Wooohoooooo I WAS APPROVED!!            Whole interview time took 20 mins in total from standing in line till exiting the door. They were so nice! I will post an embassy review tonight. It was strange, they didn't take my 2 new letters of intent, relationship evidence or registered mail envelope. I spent 8 months collecting relationship evidence (85 pages) and had it all neatly sorted and tabbed, but oh well.. I almost asked the AO if he wanted to see my evidence anyway, just to appreciate the work I put into it   It's like buying an expensive train ticket and not getting checked..   I'll get my passport back in 5 working days  And to celebrate I just booked my flight. 12th of October I am out of here!   AlissaCarly.     Just relaxes and don't think about any document anymore everything will be ok just for tomorrow take your time to answer every question honest and correctly everything will be ok and you will be approved good willing tray to have same rest god bless you Thank you for the kind words!    Best of luck!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	200 days today and security checks for 36 days!!    I would be fine, except my fiancé's grandfather has been very quickly deteriorating in hospital over the last few days. Not only have I been incredibly close with his grandparents the last couple of years, but he is the centre of the family and best man at our wedding. We're the first of the grandchildren to get married and I can't bear the thought that I might never get to see his grandfather again :-((( I got so upset last night as he keeps asking for me, but I can't be there! I really wish I could be there with my fiancé and his family right now, the family are falling apart and my fiancé is the one trying to hold them together, all on his own.    Sorry for the venting guys, it's been a sleepless night. The Amsterdam consulate is excellent Two days after they logged in my case I got Packet 3, three days after they received my returned Packet 3 I got Packet 4 and my interview date is 16 September already. Now it feels as being left behind... As service centers reps are useless; Tier 2 - was useless, in my experience! NJ Senators - will see... giving them the second try!     Have you tried Robert Menendez? I have a little math equation for you all:   6 months, 1 week & 2 days + 1 congressman + 1 senator + persistent calling = 1 APPROVAL!!       Yay, I got the e-mail and the app notification at 3 this morning! It's exactly 181 days from NOA1 to NOA2. Was starting to think it would never come, now I'm in utter shock and am extremely excited of course!! It's been 5 working days since the senator's office called the USCIS, so I'm thinking that had a little something to do with it   TSC is on the move!! Usually this thread is where I come to moan, be horrified about other people's bad experiences and bask in the warm communal feeling of all being angry about something together   But now it's a happy thread! This just made my day! I'm so thrilled for everyone who got approved   #bringitonTSC   P.S. Small update: we sent our info to senator Menendez of NJ and within MINUTES of receiving it they had filed an inquiry with the USCIS! Approved on July 8th, 2014.    I did nothing special. No calls to senators or congressman. I did put in a service request though, but when I got a reply, it said nothing relevant. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	I am pulling for you, @alissacarly!!! We are approaching the 6 month mark as well, on July 9th. I contacted one Senator who had someone assigned to my case who basically said..."who cares about California? It doesn't pertain to you, and your case is within normal processing time." My case was received by USCIS January 9th, so we have a similar timeline, you and I.  I contacted my other Senator who assigned me to a sweetheart who not only e-mailed but CALLED on the same day, asking to fax over the privacy release and the NOA1, because it's definitely NOT OKAY and that they were, in fact, outside of the normal processing time of 5 months. Told her the story of the runaround, the different wait times those reps give you and how the December 3rd is a ploy. She is going to CALL and investigate! I'm hoping to hear good news from my Senator as well! Let us know what happens with your Senator, Alissa!!   You know.....we wait so long, and the fact we have to get Senators involved from so many states on the East Coast, should totally send up a red flag to the higher ups in government! #ThereIsSomethingWrongWithTSC   P.S. Can we please have a service center in one of the great states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Florida? Like a nice fast moving state?   I bet the processing time might be just as fast as Cali.   Thanks!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	We got a letter from the congressman saying he has inquired at TSC about our case and is expecting an answer back soon. Fingers crossed It's been almost 6 months, surely it should be arriving soon?!   I bet all of you do the same thing I do: wake up in the morning and immediately check my phone for a notification or e-mail. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	No NOA2 as of yet (5 months on Sunday) but some other exciting news I just wanted to share with people who will understand why it's exciting My fiance was having lunch with our realtor today and mentioned that I'm in review at the TSC and he wants to contact the NJ congressman soon and our realtor says (as if it's no biggie): 'oh, he's one of my best friends, let me call him!' and she whips out her cell, calls him directly and asks him to call the TSC for us this week! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	I'm getting soooo tired of people asking:   "so when is he coming here for good?"   "when is the wedding?"   "when will your visa be approved?"   "wouldn't it be easier to find someone here?"   "you've done 9 years of this? HOW?"   Ohhh I know exactly what you're talking about! Spot on! My fiance and I work for the same company so everyone at my work knows he's been gone for half a year. And every day I get the same questions: "Why are you still here?" "Don't you want to move to the US?" "Can't you just call the visa center and ask them to approve you?" And the worst comments of all: "It looked much easier on 90 Day Fiancee" and "I have a friend whose work visa was approved in a month, so your visa can't take that long, you must've done something wrong!"   Like a work visa is the same thing   I tell them all the same thing: "I filed 5 months ago and have not been approved yet. I flew in to Philadelphia it was awesome. They asked my fiance some questions, but I was asked nothing!   Well I have some good news and am looking for any  advise.   We got the Police Certificate today, we pick up the medical on Monday next week - 20th, on Tuesday - finger printing, on Wednesday is INTERVIEW !!!!.   I have given her the I-134, bank letter, bank statements, Letter from employment, Tax returns, Phone records, Revised Notice of intent to marry, she has the DS-160 we have pictures over the last one year. Have we missed anything?       Sounds pretty complete! Did you need to print a proof of visa payment too? I had to give them that at the interview. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	Well, I'm in the US now! Did POE on Sunday and everything was so easy. I stood in the line for people with green cards/permanent resident cards etc. and was asked at the desk to do the fingerprint scan and retina scan, wasn't asked any questions. Then was sent to the Immigration Unit, where I handed in the yellow package that you're not allowed to open, along with my passport and US Customs form. They checked the package for 5 mins and then told me to get married in 90 days. That was all. Took 15 mins from the time I got in line! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	As this was my 'original' thread before our NOA2 and subsequently moving onto the UK forum, I thought I'd let you know I was approved today.     Best regards       Rich   Congratulations! That's awesome   Last communication i got was that the visa had left NVC, that was back in the beginning of August. My Fiance filed DS 160, and we waited and waited for packet 3 to arrive. i finally emailed the US consulate in Sydney only to hear back that packet 3 supposedly had been emailed to me ( the petitioner) back in Aug with an interview date for Sept that had come and gone. Total shock and horror ensued at that news. My fiance now has another interview date set for next week, but since he never got packet 3 with plenty of time and instructions he will be heading off to interview w/o his police clearance complete. The consulate had a correct email for me, but i never received anything, and besides we always thought that my fiance  would get the instructions, not me. Moral of the story, if you think there is a problem be proactive and contact the embassy or consulate. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	There really isn't that much left to do.  I contacted some removalists here and asked about transporting the boxes from Australia to the US, and I am really quite happy with the quote that they gave me - it is only marginally more than it cost me to move a couple of suburbs over about 6 months ago.  I feel like I got ripped off then!  Apparently my passport is out for delivery now, so I should have that in my hot little hands by this afternoon, and then I'll go book my flight for next week, and confirm with the removalists.  Then it's just cancelling a bunch of stuff - phone, internet, etc  (And as I was typing this, the courier delivered my passport, yay!)  I am just way too excited now!   Yay! Fantastic Did you now book your flight yet? It's crunch time for both of us now, so nervewrecking and exciting at the same time    Congrats to all who are entering, I cant wait to post the day she is approved an enters. I have some news though today. After waiting for about 35 minutes, I got an agent at the NVC and they gave us our case number. File hasn't left for India yet, hopefully next week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 TSC Filers	221 days, and we're finally approved!!   Checked USCIS half asleep 2 hrs ago and was instantly awake! haha. No idea if we received a text or notification, I think my fiance neglected to tell me last night, either that or he doesn't know yet!   But Yayyy!!    Oh my gosh, congratulations!!!   That is so exciting!
