Your timeline shows that your approval would be between September 28th and October 15th. Some cases are processed faster, some take a little longer but just be patient. If you call USCIS they will tell you that check the timeline they have but we know that timeline is not true. Good luck , you're close to the approval. They were actually very nice with me. No pictures to show were needed. They only asked me for the affidavit of support, his tax returns and that's it. The consul asked me how lond have we met and if we are still communicating eachother. And also he asked me how did he propose?? At the beginning i was very nervous but some VJ members told me if i have everything i will be fine. I would love to be with my fiance for the interview but he has just bought a house and the interview was set up very soon so he cant take some days off. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Nervous!!	Do not overworry!!!! Just tell the truth if they ask you. I was worried because I went to the USA with a tourist visa and the i adjusted my status to F1. I stayed 5 years but not illegally, i changed my status and studied, then i worked for a year through OPT (optional practical trainning) and then returned to Peru. While i was working there, the president of the company told me he wanted me to work one more year in his company so he sponsored me with a temporary work visa. When it was approved, I had to return to Peru and ask for a visa here. I went to my interview and the lady gave me a hard time telling me that i overstayed in the USA; because they got me a tourist visa and i took advantage of the situation and studied there. I had everything with me to show her I didnt overstay but she didnt want to see anything. She denied my work visa and cancelled my tourist visa. Today i got my interview and I was worried that they would start with the same topic but i explained how i changed status and i didnt overstayed and the consul told me: it's ok, dont worry, everyhting is perfect. So just in case, take all the paperwork with you. if he asks you, tell him exactly how the things were and be prepared to show evidence of that. My fiance which is my petitioner didnt ask me for any translation of any of my documents yet. The intention of marriage letter was written by me in English and his documents as such birth certificate is in English so I dont think you should certify or translate any documents. What I read here is that you start your translating process when the interview is programmed. Is that ok, guys? or am I wrong?, please tell me something. It means very little. Right now VSC is processing files sent at the end of March. The average seems to be 2 1/2 - 3 months right now but keep in mind that last fall it was twice that time and at the beginning of the year it took just one month. So you never know. You will find that as the months pass things will change. Your timeline shows adjutication dates of August 30, 2008 and September 5, 2008. They said we would have the visa in 2 days, to pick up at the DHL office in San Isidro. Well, they kept giving us the runaround and it never arrived there when it was supposed to. The security guards outside helped us so much, and they were all great, we wound up with the visa, thank god, and were able to leave the next day at 6am. We had to wait until 6pm outside the embassy for DHL to give us the visa though. So the next part of our adventure starts when we board the flight to NY. We had a layover in Miami, and our flight arrived late to Miami. Then, someone in the immigration office was in the process of getting deported so we waited there for about 2 hours and missed our flight to NY. American Airlines was nice enough to rebook us the next flight but switched us to LaGuardia. We got to NY at 7:20 pm, picked up some Chinese food and went home. We went shopping on Thursday to get everything we needed. Yesterday, I worked and he stayed home and reorganized everything in the apartment (bored, lol). Today he stayed home while I worked and watched the kids. Things have been interesting... but good. It's more natural then we thought it would be. Thanks to everybody who helped me along this process. We're just adjusting right now, things are coming along little by little. Yesterday we went to a supermarket and we bought Inka Kola, Chicha Morada, and Cuzqueño (his beer). So he feels a little like at home. Suzy!!! I am so glad everyhting went very well!!!! I was approved last friday and i have to pick my passport on Wednesday!! I hope i dont have to deal with DHL .....Fortunately, I will be in New York on October 29th!!!! and I am sooooo excited and sad at the same time. i will leave my family, cousins, friends, etc but very happy to start a new life with my baby boy !!!!	vickydeutsch	Female	Peru	2008-10-12 14:55:00

That's it. We were so excited when I received the pink slip and a big congratulations! Vicky!!! u' re next chica!!! Congratulations Verito!!!!!!!!!!!
