US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Proof of relationship	So I found out that my fiance has his interview on Sept 17, and we been getting all our proof of relationship ready, and so I am hoping that the documents he is going to provide will be good enough for the task at hand. This is what we have gathered,   Chat logs from both Facebook and Skype My cell phone records Letters from his mom and his brother acknowledging the relationship Letters from my mom and my sister acknowledging the relationship Pictures of him and I together (unfortunately don't have any photos with his family since his dad refuses to meet me , so all we have is his mom and brother approval ) And a form I filled out online applying for marriage certificate in Colorado where we plan to have the wedding.   I do hope this will be good enough since there is no pictures of me with his parents. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	So confused!!!!!	Ok, I am totally lost and confused. My fiance and I are trying to fill out the forms to get ready for his interview. As we was reading the instructions on packet 3 and 4 both says needs to bring 2 copies of each forms at time of the interview and plus to send Ds-230 and DS-156. The doctors told him there that he will have to have a three days worth of test and that he might not make his interview appointment in Mumbai. So my question is, What will happen if he goes to the interview with a partial medical done since we have to wait for the results, or should he reschedule his appointment? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	petiton valid from 7/10/13 to 11/9!3	To give you some peace of mind. My petition expired in January of 2013 and my K-1 interview was on February 26, 2013. I am here in the USA, married and adjusting status. As I said earlier they will automatically extend the expiration date. Look in the Indian forum to see if there are any specifics (ex. notarized letter of intent) you need for them to extend the expiration. If the Consulate will not schedule an interview until after they have received the medical results, that is on them, though, I would call the Mumbai Consulate to see if they have received the medical results and whether they have sched. an interview or not. Thanks for your help. I have tried calling Mumbai and they have been of no help. Fiance and I went ahead and decided that if we dont get this solved by the time I come for Dewali, we will most likely just marry. Again thanks for your response. I would suggest going to the Indian forum to see if there are any requirements such as a notarized letter of intent for the interview, etc.   Ok, but what if November 9th comes and he never receives a phone call from the consulate for his new interview date. Will the petition expire and we have to start all over again? I been searching and searching to see what happens if this happens and I cant find no answers and I have no been able to get ahold of the Mumbai Consulate either. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	petiton valid from 7/10/13 to 11/9!3	My fiance was suppose to have his interview on sept 17, but since there was a problem with his medical and the CO at the Mumbai Consulate would not give him a interview till they received the xray test results from the hospital, which from our understanding from the medical personal that the results will be mailed to the consulate. My question is what happens if my fiance does not get the phone call from the consulate for his interview date or the interview is set up and pass nov 9? Will we have to start over again? In your shoes I would keep on the Embassy until they said they did have it, maybe it's still in the mail but I would think it would be there at least sometime this coming week. As for the Packet 3 can you download it now and have it filled out and ready to for when they do have it? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Does this mean its at Mumbai Consulate????	I would call the Dept of State or the NVC the first chance you get. We also has this message on our visa status around the 26th, and I think all it means is your case is ready to be shipped. I say this because last week we contacted our Embassy to ask for the instruction, and were told that they had yet to receive it. I called the DoS and was told that while the website status is misleading our case was being shipped out soon, and to check with the Embassy in a week. Then today I received a letter in the mail from the NVC dated on the 30th saying our case was shipped off to the Embassy.    I called the NVC on the 22 of July and they told me that the case was sent to Mumbai on the 19 of July and I got a letter in the mail from them dated July 22, 2013 saying it was shipped. My fiance k-1 visa was denied today, and I was wondering if I could call the consulate and talk to a CO and ask them why its been denied. My fiance said that the CO was not convinced of the relationship, but kept all the chat logs, pictures, my plane ticket stubs from Nov visit, copies of both my visa to India, telephone call logs and letters from friends and family on both sides. I am a little confused and I need to talk to them to see what happened. When I asked my fiance about the process he said he felt comfortable that the CO was smiling at him the whole time and everything was going good till another CO lady came and they pointed at the computer screen and everything went down hill from there. I would say not to worry too much about the age gap, divorce, kids, religion stuff....I am 7 years older than my hubby, divorced with 2 kids from my first marriage, he is hindu and i am christian. I think you need to show more evidence. For us, I submitted out joint bank accounts, joint phone bills, joint rental agreement in addition to all our pictures and trips together, our marriage certificate and pics from our marriage (temple and court). We are still waiting for NOA2 on our I130.   Is there anyway you can go to india and get married and show more proof of relationship? I think that once you are married and submit the I130 and all the evidence you should be fine!   Best of luck! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Can somebody help clear my confusion?	The "not convinced of relationship". Really means what they say with what you submitted and what they seen the CO was not convinced this was a bonafide relationship.   They use to say this relationship is for immigration purposes only. I have noticed they stopped that.   Did you front-load your petition meaning what evidence did you submit with your I-129F?   Many K-1 couples don't submit much but the required "Letters of intent" saving the evidence for interview. Well for many of us going through tough embassies that is not good enough. Imagine the CO got all your petition package.What was in it to convince them you were really in love and all that? At interview is way too late to submit bonafide relationship stuff, (i.e. chats, IM's Skype, phone log, text, emails, letters cards, affidavits, pics) for some of us. You have at best 10 to 20 minutes with CO they may or may not even look at what you brought.   Although getting married isn't a guarantee to an approval it most defiantly shows the bonafide of a relationship and the seriousiness of it.   My take on K1's is this, something I have followed closely for Lagos. I don't know your age but you say you are divorced with kids so I can assume you are  mature woman here (ie. over 35 I imagine) so really a K1 isn't for you. Cuz really you are showing you aren't sure, undecided. I know I know you want him to come here meet the family the kids and get married. But to immigration that translate to "i want him to come meet my kids and if they don't like him the wedding is off". You have to think like a CO not like a person who loves their hunnie. I know of someone who was denied a K1 for that very reason he said at interview he wanted to meet the kids and they get married and the CO said "then you aren't sure this will go through". Denied. They married and all is fine now.   Don't sit around and second guess. You have gone over all the questions you said with your guy right? Was there any subject the CO focused in on? That might be a reason. If you two don't have skeletons in the closet and all is legit and fine then just error on the side you didn't prepare a convincing petition or the CO was having a bad hair day (unlikely but who knows).   Get married refile. No I did not front load the petition. I filed this petition before I joined vj and I read about this. My fiance did tell me that they did look at our evidence and my resent trip to India in Nov. He told me there was slot of questions about my ex husband and he was feeling uneasy about these question due to the fact of my abuse that was done to me. As for the k1....we decided to marry in Usa because I wanted to get married in the rocky mountains.....but I think this will have to wait for maybe a renewal of vows. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Can somebody help clear my confusion?	As my fiance and I are planning to get married in April in India. He was denied his K-1 visa due to CO not convinced of relationship. To me this sounds like we did not provide good enough evidence or something went horribly wrong at the interview. My fiance went though all the questions with me with his answers and every answer was truthful and sounded good to me. Now my confusion is wondering the "not convinced of relationship" decision, does this mean she thinks this is not a bonafide relationship, a fraud relationship, or is it what I think we just did not provide good enough evidence . I been having a hard time finding the answers. I contacted my senator but they given me the same answer of CO not convinced of relationship and not reason why she thought this. I need to clear this up before I file for a CR-1 visa for him and also what I need to do to provide better evidence also. I feel so lost and confused and I also dont know how to tackle my red flags because how to you solve for past divorce, with kids and being 5 years older and different religion ( actually I can solve this by just "converting" to Hinduism ). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Oh my God! Cr1 Case Got Reaffirmed yestesterday	You are a K1 they are a spousal CR1/IR1. No their Visa was not affirmed because they never got one the petition was reaffirmed,  meaning CO denied it sighting that they will send back to USCIS so they will deny or revoke.   USCIS requested evidence to backup the denial points the CO states in their claim. They send back to USCIS they review and they were reaffirm meaning they are now sent right back to embassy for 2nd interview where the majority of time they will be approved.   Since you are a K1 coming out of California Service Center your petition will expire before you would be able to do anything. Rarely if ever K1's get reaffirmed because they expire. Most couples just go ahead and get married during this long wait because you are waiting really for nothing. Or they refile. Cr1 Case Got Reaffirmed yestesterday	Visa was denied  under act 212A5A 9FAM40.1  for not Bonafide relationship  and sent back to Nvc  and when we got NOIR  with all consulate objections on 17th October and submitted the documents on 14 November to USCIS and case got reaffirmed on 17th December  I am sorry this might sound like a stupid question. But how was your visa reaffrimed....what does this mean? My fiance was recently denied his k-1 visa. The CO said she was not convinced of our relationship. How did you over come the denial?
