K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHelp! I need advice and info.
Hello everyone, I have a few questions about when I can schedule and when I should schedule. Thank you for any help you can give.

1) I would like to know if I can schedule my medical exam and interview BEFORE I get the packet from the Manila Embassy? he has already gotten the notice that the petition was sent to Manila and the MNL case number.

2) If I have to wait for the packet, can I reschedule the medical and/or the interview? Can my fiancee (he is in the U.S.) schedule for me?

3) Does rescheduling count against us in the interview? We are expecting the packet from the embassy within the next two weeks, and I want to schedule my interview for June. I am in Osaka, Japan right now. My fiancee and I have agreed that I should stay if possible for certain reasons until around May 24. Is that too far away? If it is too long, what is the longest time before it might count again us?

Thanks again for any help!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPink Slip, what does it mean?
QUOTE (sam808 @ Oct 30 2008, 01:52 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Does a pink slip really means, your visa is approved? As if I am not yet convinced. Lol. Maybe not until I have my visa on hand. Lol. I cant even remember what the consul told me anymore when I asked him whether I passed the interview or not. But he said something like yes, you do! Goodluck. Is that? Lol. Does goodluck means the visa is approved? Lol.

LOL!! laughing.gif u made me laugh. Yes u are approved. Congratulations!

Btw, I got pink and white slip too but white slip was just blank and i got my visa a week after my interview.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresLOST RECEIPT!
I sent a box to the Phillipines on 11/29 and I was told that it will take 6-10 business days before my family received the box. The problem is they haven't gotten it until now (12 days) and I already lost the receipt here. Is there any other way to get the Track Number if I will go back to the Post Office? Thanks!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTD or Tdap vaccinations - follow up
QUOTE (jiskat08 @ Jun 5 2009, 09:34 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
On the vaccination document worksheet, the assigned medical staff from the releasing counter advised me that I need to follow up the 2 shots that was given to me which is Varicella and Human Papillomavirus to a private clinic. I asked him, can i do that here in St. Lukes - he replied its too expensive here.. Better go to a private clinic for another shots.. He also told me that I need to take another shot in USA which is the Td or Tdap - he encircle it and put USA on the paper..

Is this required or should I take this asap or after the interview?

i never had shot here in the US and i already got my GC.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNAME PROBLEM
QUOTE (Jaynelle @ Oct 16 2008, 10:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
is the 2nd name considered the middle name? (Ex. Jennifer Bianca R. Gonzales) The name that is written on the approval notice is Jennifer B. Gonzales. Is this right? Or should it be Jennifer R. Gonzales?

My husband uses his 2nd Name as his Middle name which made me confused at first.

Jennifer B. Gonzales would be right.

Just send the evidence you have from the time you became "Lovers"

Btw, I met my husband in 2004 thru YM and we started as friends too just like yours until we had a mutual understanding in 2006 and planned to marry in 2008. We do not have the copy of our chats, emails or anything on the time i met him online but he stated on his oath that we do not have copy of those evidence by the time we met each other.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould I Report a Scam Artist to INS?
QUOTE (BoyScout74 @ Nov 5 2008, 09:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi,

I recently found out that my "fiancee" is a scam artist who was not only engaged to me but other foreign men at the same time. I had been sending her money on a monthly basis since she accepted my marriage proposal, but have been growing increasingly suspicious as to why she kept delaying sending me the paperwork to begin the K-1 visa. After flying all the way down to Colombia to visit her I learn that she has been dating other men, is living with another American man who she has been engaged to almost since my last visit, was engaged to yet another American man at the time I met/began dating her thru a marriage agency, and had been engaged 4 times to foreign men prior to me, and regularly requests money from foreign men.

Lucky for me I found out before applying for a K-1 visa. My question is, should I report her to INS incase she ever applies for a K-1 visa in the future and would it do any good if I did? I don't want her to do to anyone else what she has done to me. And would any action I take negatively affect me if I should apply for a k-1 visa in the future? Would it be best to just right it off as a learning experience and move on?

Report her and Move On.

"BUT you can't hate on the internet just because you got yourself a lady over in the Philippines."

Yeah Filipinas are nice. Mostly. But the OP didn't say the girl is from the Philippines. He said COLOMBIA.

And to others, again, scammers are everywhere. And Coke body is everywhere too..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMedical Exam
QUOTE (caityrose @ Oct 20 2008, 11:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey everyone- this is probably a really dumb question... but for the K1 medical exam blood tests, what do they all test and look for? My fiance is scared about his medical exam and I'm just trying to convince him that he'll be fine. I would just like to calm his nerves a little bit. Thanks!

Caity

If he used drugs and that what he is afraid about then do not tell his doctor about it coz they will not know. Blood Test is to know if he has HIV that he might transmit when he come here.

well...I have a question now...I know i'll be positive to the TB skin test...my dad is, my brother is...I guess is genetic but I never have problems about it, I remember when I was little they used to do thsi test at school so, since I was positive they also made me Xray chest but everything was fine...so...what is going to happened when I'll be positive at the medical exam? Are they going to deny me? OOr just make me further tests? Thank you!

if you are positive for TB they will ask u to cure yourself before you go to the next step.

And i read that it is annoying because u will need to go back and forth to the clinic for checkups.

TB treatment will take about 3 months

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVSC | I-130 TOUCHED
Yeah ours I-130 also got an update too on Sept. 29th. But does anyone know what exactly happens when they update your file? Does it mean they actually did something productive in terms of moving you to the next phase in the process or it could just be putting your file from one file cabinet to another?

Thanks

-Steve

By the way we filed our I-130 on May 23rd. 2008

Hi all,

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! I did some research on my question but was unable to find a concrete answer for it. The NVC has already approved our K3 and was forwarded to the Finnish embassy sometime this week. Yesterday, I have just paid our AOS fee and confirmed NVC has received our DC3032.

So, here is my question. How can I continue in the process of I-130 with this K3 visa being approved? We would rather choice I-130 over K3. So, can we just ignore the K3 or just continue with it?

Thank you guys in advance!

Steve+Hanna

Yes, you can continue the CR1 path regardless but you do not haved a K3 visa approved. You have an I-129F for spouse petition approved. The visa is approved during or after a visa interview.

Don't mind pushbrk. He splits hairs. Knows what he's talking about [most of the time] tho.
VERY good decision staying with the CR-1.
Some peeps reschedule their K3 interview until the I-130 catches up. Normally they'll just give you one interview for the CR-1 then.

This particular hair split is quite cogent to the case at hand, as most are. This one actually is more like splitting a stump. An approved petition is not an approved visa in the same way a stump is not kindling. In case you haven't noticed, the devil is in the details here and the OP is asking about details.

Hey thanks for the quick replieds. There is one question that I'm kind of confused with, I heard there are other payment associated when my wife is having the interview (either I-129F or I-130)? I have no idea where I heard that one from, but hopefully someone can clear it up for me.

thanks!

I think I figured it out but would be great to get some confirmations. So I guess we can ignore scheduling the interview for the K3? or is it better to tell the Embassy first we rather continue with I-130 instead.

If you are a US Citizen, yes it does... There is no visa limit to US Citizens for immediate relatives.

Hello! I am new to the visa journey. And I hope I'm not asking the same question again. However, what do you mean by being a US citizen you can expedite the I-130 process? I thought it doesn't make a different in processing time if you are a citizen or not. Can you elaborate to me?
