Hello Marilou...i am also from Cebu. Yes, we got our Noa2 hardcopy last Nov. and my fiance called the NVC to get the MNL case number. My fiance received the NVC letter last Dec. 5 but our case got stucked at NVC for 5 weeks.Regarding for the interview schedule , yes my fiance called the USEM and it will be on Feb.9. I haven't recieve the USEM letter but i am planning to have my medical on 28th and that's gonna be next week..ill just bring with me the hardcopy of the Noa2, NVC letter, and the confirmation email from the USEM.

We were told by the lady who setup the interview over the phone that the email confirmation was enough for the medical. Best wishes on your interview and medical.

Hi, i traveled from Philippines to Las Vegas alone and there was no problem at all. The immigration officer who interviewed me was nice. First thing u gonna do is to fall inline, in my case i was asked to fall in line in Visitor then i had a finger scanning. AFter that ,the immigration officer asked my passport and the packet sent by the USEM then she brought me in a small room and open my packet. She only stated the address of my fiance and asked me if it is the place where my fiance live. I simply say yes and after that she told me that i am good to go. Nothing much to worry...

Hi, your interview is quite far i am sure that your fiance could find a job by the time that u will be having your interview. In my case, my fiance was laid off during my interview but he was able to get the employment letter from his previous employer and also he sent me earlier the affidavit of support and it was fine. Try to let him find a new job. Good Luck

You have the same situation as mine before and i had no problem about it during my interview. If they are going to ask about your fiance's work then answer straightly and be confident with your answers. You should be fine.. don't worry too much dear.

No this is not my first job. Ive been working stedy all my life and have been making a fair to above pay all my life . I just dont know how the interviewer will look at it being that i just started the job. Last years income was in the 50,000 dollar range.

I was in the same position as your fiance. I lost my job and had to rush to find another one. Its not my first choice but it will do until something better comes along. It will be much better if he can find a job even a lesser job as long as it meets the poverty guidelines. Also if you use a co-sponser, first find out if your embassy will except one. goodluck

tell your finacee that go to taiwan embassy and they will give her s form and they will instruct her how to get a police clearnce. or if she has a friends in taiwan she can ask a favor if they can get police clearance for her. just tell ur fiance that go to taiwan embassy and get a form there and send it to her friend that will get a police clerance for her and send money too it will cost 500 pesos in philippine money to that clearance..
i've been working in taiwan before and i just send money to my friends and send that paper that i got in taiwan embassy after a week i have my police clearance..

I just received a letter from the US embassy here in Manila saying that our case is eligible and we can now schedule the interview, it also says we need to compile all the needed documents and go medical before interview. I am confused because i am expecting Packet 3 with all the DS-forms or "is this Packet 3?". What will i do next? Sorry guys but i need enlightenment to all this.. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

It's been three weeks now since my fiance received the NVC letter but then our case is not yet available in USEM.When my fiance called NVC one of the representative from there told him that they are going to forward it in USEM. Very difficult for me to see how a petitioner can go thru the immigration process without a copier/printer. Regardless the I-134 from USCIS will work fine as long as it's readable.

US citizen petitioner has to fill this out and get it notarized, and must attach to it financial evidence proving the income amounts indicated on the form.

The directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.
  • I-134 signed and notarized.
  • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html
  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)
  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

Couldn't the US citizen print this out at work, at a friend's home, or perhaps a FED-EX/Kinkos location?

Moving this to consulate embassy discussion because I-134 is not uesd at the time of K-1 filing.

THank you for the info. actually it is notarized already . All the documents that he need to send me is ready but i was just confused if the form I-134 which he requested from immigration is okay.
