I would add this myself but am afraid to mess up the nice neat looking spread. Our case was completed at the embassy on Feb. 15 They updated the recording immediately, really strange. I called this morning figuring to actually talk to someone but tried the recording first and lo and behold, said we they completed review yesterday. Please ad the info.

I can understand completely the emotions that are running through your veins now. I have the same!!!! It is now half a day left before my husband gets on the plane for his long haul home to us. He has contacted me 20 times already today regarding what he is bringing, talk about emotional level on his end is out of control. He keeps asking me if he can bring things on the plane, I tell him just pack it in the check luggage and you'll be fine (I hope that is right) plus I am so scared for him to hang out at JFK all night Friday to wait until the morning flight leaves crying.gif but it was the only way since I had bad experience getting though JKF immigration lines and waiting for bags (just bags alone took 1 hr!!!!!). I tried to tell him about how nervous I was for him on this and he says don't worry then I cleverly reminded him how nervous he was for me when we stayed overnight in Paris (but at a hotel) then he said its because I am women with children this is why (he will be slapped wacko.gif). The real reason he keeps calling me is because he is so nervous and excited to finally be with us, he said when we went on our honeymoon (he flew I meet him there) he did not feel this way, the big reason is because he moving his residency somewhere else, some strange country that you have to adapt to. On top of he is going to be a father in a like four more weeks so if he wasn't nervous about coming and that then he would have some other problems. I do not know if this post helps you in anyway but its all normal feelings trust me. What are the plans for the wedding? How will it be done? I love seeing pictures of weddings.......

Second interview is not always necessary with the review for evidence. I also forgot to mention that when I called NVC, they had indicated it was AP processing with the consulate. My DH did not have a second interview they called him when it was time to get his visa.

Yeah Sara is right! With my husband they did issue the paper they go back and forth in what they do over there. The best thing to do is to call DOS and if you are their why not go during the times they have set aside for US citizens and go in and talk to someone. Hope this helps and remember some AP is just a few days and others can be months, either way the end results is both of your happiness biggrin.gif

O all the babies look so cute. I can not believe how much everyone was grown blush.gif I know it happens but wow its still amazing. I will have to say with my children it is definitely all about the DNA people are the first to say "o they look like ur husband" (even the boys from my previous marriage, lol) but its because people are only drawn to certain features of babies, like hair, if they see it they say they look like him, because they make an assumption, not to mention they can not even see if I have hair (maybe that is why whistling.gif). One day I will learn about using photo bucket codes or something like that to put a recent picture of the children up, one time someone told me I did it but iv got mommy brain so I certainly do not remember blink.gif

I have a question but not about the medical. After the case has been sent to Casa, generally how long before they send packet 3 out and also does the packet have to be singed for by the receiver. I only ask this because my husband is not at home now, but working in a different city. He knows its coming but we are not sure if he needs to sign for it or if someone else can.

I am going back to work this fall from taking time off whistling.gif we are looking for a nanny now to start in Aug (a live in nanny). If I had an older aunt, a sister or any family member then I would be able to have them live with us and help out with the children, but I do not and I am not in Morocco where cousins are plentiful and willing to come, live and help out the family. We checked day care costs and compared them to having someone live in with us and they are about the same, the only issue is we do not have to drive out with the children at 6 am to drop them off! (we both start at 7!). I do not think having a nanny takes away anything with being part of your childdren's lives. For us it is a good opportunity to ensure our children our safe and in an enviorment they are comfortable with, I will not even begin to talk about the baby, she doesn't seem to like anyone holding her except for baba or mama crying.gif So I just hope we do not ended up going though nannies like a bottle of water on a hot summers day blush.gif

Oh yea good times, now what were they looking for, not sure, but for some reason they put me through the ringer. Not the first time I have had run inns’ with France. I learned a long time ago, NEVER DO ANYTHING WRONG, because for some reason they always look at me first. devil.gif

I think you can refuse and then you just do not fly! I remember one time I took my science team to a competition up state and we were flying back out, the competition ran late so we were basically running to catch a flight that only had about 10 people anyways on it. My co-coach was stopped and searched. It was funny and we joked about it since I was wearing a head covering and she was wearing a low cut shirt, hmm.... whistling.gif I told her the guy stopped because her jugs were hanging out (even though he knew we were trying to make the flight) I kept talking to the lady at the door gate as a stall tacts (it worked) and she got there right when the door was closing. They stopped and asked her a bunch of questions that had to do with nothing then said 'O we can not find a female to pat you down' it was just they wanted a closer look at her 'assets'! I have had mixed experiences in France. My first time though no one seemed to want to answer my question on how to find our connecting gate. Good think my son asked wacko.gif and got some answers. But when I went through immigration to stay there over night it was the officer was very pleasant, but the lady and her mother right before us, he was so disrespectful to them. It is really hit and miss with some people. I remember one time I was connecting in Dallas (this was in Dec) and I asked the person right when you come out of the check point how to find the connecting gate, the lady first told me some crazy long way that was impossible to even get there, specially with two young boys. So I stared her down and said to her there is no other way, then she looked embarrassed and said yes just take the train here and get off at the second stop you will be right there. WTH she did not say this first I do not know, but when I gave her the look she sure had no problems in guiding me the fastest way. Perhaps it was the look of devil.gif that I gave, lol rofl.gif and scared her!

Have you been to Morocco? I've been to Morocco 5x since January 2008 and going for my 6th time in 2 weeks to help Zouhir prepare for his interview. His family is wonderful. We've traveled all over from Tetuoan, Tangier, Ifrane, Fez, Casa, El Jadida, Rabat, Marrakech, Oreika, Agadir & Taghazout. I'm learning chwiya Arabia from him and want to take French so I can speak with his family.[attachment=10255:small_pic_J_Z1.jpg] He speaks English well and we both speak Spanish. Hey gang long time since I have posted on here. I wanted to stop by and say hi to some old faces and all the new ones. DH will be applying for naturalization and I am the designated informant on the process, haha I guess I have become his secretary! I know lots of MENA folks come and go and sometimes you wonder what the heck every happened to so and so. Well we are still around life has gotten us busy and keeps it that way. Careers are coming along for DH and I am finishing up the doctorate while still doing my civil service paid like I work at Burger King JOB! Although once again I will need time off from my studies since we are expecting another addition in June, yeah me. Never when I started my relationship 6 years later I ever predicted being a mama to five children, holy smokes world watch out as my spawns are out there in the mix :devil:!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to making those old connections and some new ones out there. Hope you all are enjoying Thanksgiving weekend it will be a great closure to this holiday tomorrow when da Bears kick the BUTTS of the Raiders :thumbs:

Some people here have told me that I will need to have a DoD passport in order to travel with my husband, and have the military pay for my flight there. Is this true? I didnt think I could get a passport as I am not a US citizen. Help!!


You should get an offical passport. Which is the same as a tourist except that DoD paid for it and there is a statement stamped in the back. Contact MPF for the process of getting the passport.

Yes the military will pay for transportation of the spouse and child(ren) to the overseas location.

I use a company called VIGO, www.vigo.com I think. Costs 5% of the transfer but the money is there almost instantly and it can even be deposited in the bank for them. I am just opening another bank account and getting an ATM card for my wife. The international fee transaction fee is much less than transfer fees and safer for them as they are not walking out of a business which people leave with cash in hand. Just a thought.

I have been reading some of your posts and they have all been so helpful. I just arrived back home and will begin the process for our K-3 visa on Monday. Well I have been home for a few days now, but getting back is so hard, my son’s clock as been off and his night is still day to him! Plus I have caught a bug from flying and trying to get over it! Maybe my boys will let me sleep sometime before the morning is gone!

I hope everyone’s Saturday is awesome, cleaning, sleeping, or just hanging out in front of the TV, enjoy your day.

It was 2nd day for my son at preschool. He did alright when we first got there and I got him to start playing with some toys. I tried to sneak out, but just as the door closed, he turned around and started crying. AGH!!! Just rip my heart out of my chest and stomp on it a few hundred times. When my boys went to preschool I felt the same way, I was so worried every moment. :unsure: Now, I am so worried for my youngest to start kindergarten soon, I think because last year when he was in preK he cried every day for three months when I dropped him off. He tells me that he is a big boy now and is happy to go to kindergarten and if he needs anything he will ask his big brother, lol! :thumbs:

The same is occurring with our timeline. At first I thought it was just me unsure.gif but then I have noticed that the time has gone from January to February and now March. I know it is based on statics but what about the six-month period is this taken into consideration in any aspect of the current processing situation of the other types of visas? It will be interesting to see if there is a decision to "double" up workers to process family petitions as well. wacko.gif
