IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Just received the most generic checklist. At 1 am no less lol. Anyway mine just asked for civil docs, without the laundry list of which civil docs. I already sent them and know my AOS was accepted so hope there is light at the end of the tunnel When did you send you AoS package and when was it scanned into the system?   Can you please add the info to your signature? it is very helpful to others. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Called Lawyer and they verified that they sent to original birth cert.... Called NVC back and talked ot Jean.. She put us in for a supervisor review because I challeged them.   It is absolutely the original. It is just really old looking. It has the stamps on it and the numbers of what book and page it is recorded at the registry. Also a second page with more stamps.    I am sending my husband all the way to San Jose tomorrow just to get a certified copy just incase and I will send it again !!  #######??? and Jean told me I don't need to get it translated since its going to a spanish speaking embassy.. ( not sure I will believe her  but they have the original translation in the original package)     Not too sure about what they are telling me . Jean told me they are not even finished reviewing the package. So maybe they will see a supervisor request and get it done all in one shot. She did tell me Supervisor reviews take up to 30 days ( but doesn't everything at the NVC?)      I'm so angry.   This is a joke.  They have to realize that every country is different. Not all birth certs are pretty like the United States.   I feel your pain lady! You're so close and yet they make you feel so far away! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	is it really all or nothing like that?  if you're  not CC before the end of the month you have to wait until the next month for an interview date?   They usually schedule at the end of April beginning of May for June, I'm not really sure what is teh cut off date and it also depends on the embassy. I know Casablanca has a big number of applicants every month so it will be hard to have a second round of scheduling in mid may for June. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	mine took 2 weeks and 1 day.   I think that is the norm lately.   I'm on hold right now...  Can't help myself.    Confirmed with lawyer's office that the IV package was sent with the AOS package ( had to triple check because I just don't trust them) I hope I get a June slot...      You are right behind me...  ~~~~~~ GOOD VIBES FOR YOU ~~~~~~~   I really hope we make it for June interviews! The window for a June interview is closing rapidely with every day that goes without a CC. sigh Uscis shipped my approved documents to nvc on the 23rd of April.any idea how long before they receive it? I have paid IV fee a week ago and completed DS260 3days already, but my lawyer still not send our AOS package n civil doc to NVC, so pissed off abt it!!!! Get on his case then! I will try and call again today to see if theres any news.i got approved april 1st You can go ahead and call USCIS customer service and ask to speak to a tier 2. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2014 Interviews	Thanks dwheels and etrangais - even without the file, I thought there must be a record at the embassy since they scheduled the appointment date/time.   The embassy sends slots of time available to NVC and then NVC schedules according to that. So, the embassy have no idea who they will be seeing on those times until they get the files. Also, the Consular Officer (CO) at the embassy has the final decision on the case. So they need to get the file first before they can proceed with any further steps.   You can always try to email/call the embassy now and see what they say. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2014 Interviews	I just called NVC and was told the interviews for my wife and stepson in Moscow are now set for Monday, July 21, which is later than we had hoped.  It's also a problem as they must have medical exams at the Moscow clinic, and were planning to come in (3 hour flight) the day before the interview for the exam.  Since July 21 is a Monday, that won't be an option.   I asked if there is any way to change the date and was told I could contact the embassy after the case files arrive there.  I asked when that will be, and they said it could be any time before July, but I could check back with NVC and they'll tell me when it is sent.  I wonder if it's really necessary to wait until they get the case files to request a different appointment date?  You can check when your file is actually sent to the embassy on ceac.state.gov When sent, the status will show "IN TRANSIT" and when it gets to the embassy, it will show "READY". IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2014 Interviews	I'm a US citizen filling for spouse CR1 Uscis approved my case early on february after 9 months of waiting and received file on late febuary, i got my nvc case# late on march and paid all fees early on april then on april 30th i had a checklist from NVC saying that my AOS was missing an answer, i filled a new AOS same day and shipped it next morning, it took NVC one week to put it in system just as recieved on may 7th, then i found out about a another checklist on may 2nd saying that NVC needs original documents(marriage certf, birth certf, passport copy) even i sent all original copies to USCIS, USCIS told me that i have to file an app to request original marriage certf back and it would take up to 5 month, then i requested from my father to send me all documents via DHL, i Got all requested documents within 7 days and i shipped them right away to NVC, after another week NVC put documents in system on may 19th, I'm still waiting hopefully there will be some good news before closing appointments for july.   Good luck!
