Everything is certainly fine at NBC, they have no reason not to be operational. I would think the storm is more likely to impact field offices if anything. I hope so!!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 I-130 Filers	Wow do you think I should do the same same thing my five months is February 11 ? My pd date for my 1-129f is sept11 what do u think I did the same exact thing. I called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 about my I-129F back in November, about 4 months after NOA1. They asked me to call back after 5 months (December 26). I called them again on the 27th of December and spoke to a tier 2. They were kind enough to open a service request for me and told me that I should hear something by January 14. 5 days after that I got a transfer notice for both I-130 and I-129F. On January 15th, I called back since I did not hear anything about the service request. A tier 2 informed me that the service request is yet to be assigned to somebody, so they put in a follow up on it to be assigned and also provided me the service request number and the email address to Nebraska service center and asked me to email them directly also. So, I'm hoping to hear something soon about that service request. It has been 2 weeks now that I've been transferred to Nebraska (Worst service center ever). I'm hoping to get some action when they get the service request. This is so not unfair at all.   I would say go ahead and do it! you're not going to loose anything! you may as well try everything you can!!!!! just make sure you talk to a tier 2 every time!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 I-130 Filers	So my US husband called the USCIS back on Jan 3rd I believe, one day past the '5 month processing date' for our I-129F, and was basically told it was still within expected processing time and to wait 30 days before calling back.  I figured 'oh well', we'll call back later in Jan.  They didn't give him a service request number. But instead this time I suggested he do the e-request on the USCIS website->  and that also says it's within the processing time!  what?    I double checked the service centers timelines, and the only ones that list I-129F's all say 5 months. We're now 15 days past our 5 month mark.   So I went to the e-request where it clearly states: e-Request is a web-based tool that allows you to place an inquiry with USCIS for certain applications and petitions. You may make an inquiry on selected forms that are beyond posted processing times or selected forms where you did not receive an Application Support Center (ASC) appointment notice or other notice. You can also create an inquiry for a notice you received from a Service Center with a typographical error. To place an inquiry, you will need your receipt number. If you do not have your receipt number contact the USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY).   I tried it to see the result for myself, and sure enough, it says:   Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. For information about processing dates, please view the recent processing times for applications and petitions. If you have other questions regarding your application or petition, contact USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY).   Am I misunderstanding something?  I thought that we should at least be able to put in a service request or e-request for that I-129F as it's past the 5 month mark.   This is being done more to facilitate someone 'touching' our petition in some way more-so than expecting the I-129F to be adjudicated, with the hopes of it helping speed up either a transfer or other action, as currently we're one of those couples lost in limbo without a transfer. Reese, Lisa, Joy noone else was ready to help me AT ALL! Anyway, how long does it take to get a reply when you get a supervisor's review?     They say 20 - 30 business days but it usually takes couple of days. What specific question did you ask ?   Everytime I called them. they just told me to wait 30 days..   I called this morning and I asked for an update. They told me they are waiting for my DS260 and IV docs. Then I asked if the AoS was accepted and the lady said yes.   I called yesterday around 03:30 Pm and they gave me the 30 business days BS and they also said IT WILL take the whole 6 weeks to review because they were backlogged. If your packages were scanned in 25-Apr, you should get some info by end of day tomorrow or early next week. They take about 2 to 3 weeks to review packages from the date they scan them into the system. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	If I got a checklist for the birth certificate though, wouldn't I get one for the police certificate at the same time?   That sounds correct! you should've gotten a checklist for both. Did you reply to the birth certificate checklist yet? If no, you can always add the police certificate to the response and add a coversheet explaining why you have the police certificate in there.   If you already answered it, then just hope and pray they will accept your package but don't forget to have the police certificate with your spouse during the interview. I probably should have sent the original too though. Anyway I haven't gotten a checklist for it, and every time I have called NVC they never mention it. When calling NVC and asking if they need anything, they should tell you right?   Once they review the IV package, they will find out about the missing document. I was able to print out the bar code right away, so I don't know what difference it would make if I waited anyway. it's not going to generate a different bar code.   Saylin says to wait at least untill the money is deducted from your account. Again, I did not. I paid AoS fee on 17 Apr at 04:25 PM and then sent the packet overnight to NVC. How long between NVC and the Embassy interview, approximately? Just trying to get an approximate end to end timeline for my next phase. I just got my NOA2 two days ago and am still wading through the 100+ pages on this thread, so forgive me if the info is here somewhere and i have not found it yet! Just trying to get an approximate ETA. My Colombian wife is not the most patient woman on the planet! hahahaha (also our first anniversary is August 31 and we are hoping to be together by that time, but I think that is cutting it real close).   my 2 cents: 2 weeks to 3 weeks between NOA2 and NVC receives your petition 4 weeks to a month for case # after NVC receives petition 1 week to 10 days after case # assigned to pay AoS fee and fill out DS261   here it gets tricky: NVC says you have to wait until fee shows PAID to send in AoS packet, i did not wait. Sent packet in as soon as bar code sheet was available (same day). it takes between 2 to 5 business days for the fee to show PAID.   After DS261 is filled out, it takes 5 business days for IV fee to be invoiced. same thing for the packet, NVC says to wait for teh PAID status, I did not.   as of now, packets are reviewed 2 to 3 weeks after they are scanned in. Packets gets scanned in 3 to 5 days after mail delivery to NVC.   For the interview, it depends on the consulate/embassy availability and timing of Case Complete at NVC.   Good luck	etrangais	Male	Morocco	2014-05-08 09:25:00

Bring the 2013 tax transcript to the interview if you have it, but since you your extension is good until Oct (right?) I would think it'd be sufficient, as your interview will take place before October. Call your consultate to see what they reccomend once they get your case. I've heard from advice that they will ask for the 2013 taxes at the interview even if you sent an extension to the NVC.   Oh Oh! I did not hear that at all! But what I would do is: Once the file gets to the consulate in Casablanca, I will ask them directly, and based on what they say, I will act!   Thank you for bringing this up! Thank God who ever reviewed my package knew what they were doing and it did not ended up in the hands of a newbie.   I called this morning and my friend JOY told me that NVC was waiting on my DS260 and IV documents. and when I asked her about AoS packet then she said that it was accepted as of yesterday. Getting info from some of NVC customer reps is like pulling teeth.   Anyway, good news to get me going today.   I'll call again tomorrow in hopes for a CC. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	So is this normal for the NVC to send reminder emails about the checklist more than once?  I received the official checklist email on Friday May 2nd. I responded with the Birth Cert and it  has been at the NVC since May 6th in the am. So yesterday around 4:30 pm I receive a reminder email asking for the documentation.. then the lawyer forwards the email to me letting me know he received it...I called the NVC at 10:30 last night and told them the document is there and verified that is the only thing we need.  I got the 30 day blah blah blah.  So I wake up this morning to another NVC reminder to send the requested documents. (1:40am)  I just find it odd that they are sending so many reminders and I only received the origianl checklist less than a week ago.( 3 business days).. and they don't even scan the mail for a few days after it gets delivered.    its so strange....  Below is the request..   ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________ When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided. ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________ The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) or supporting documents. However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Immigrant Visa Application or civil documentation. Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.   Don't waste time trying to understand their process! it will just throw you off! Remember we tried to understand USCIS process for months, but nothing!   Just go with the flow and try your best to stat sane!
