IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2014 Interviews	Pls dwheels is it okay, if I take evidence of filing tax extension for 2013, to the interview.we filed for extension till September.   I have an extension till October 2014 and the interview is 09-Jul. in the email, they made sure they asked for 2013 taxes if we filed an extension. And of course its a weekend so I cant call and get an asnwer..   I think you should be fine. The funds were debited from your account and you have case complete and an interview date. your case is closed and will be in its way to the consulate/embassy shortly. They are not going to waste time looking a completed cases. Worse comes to worse, they will ask you to pay AoS fees again at the interview if it is not a glitsh in the system. easy said than done I undeerstand. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Yes, you should update the I-864 with the new 2013 amount (then use 2012 and 2011 as the other two previous years). Then bring the 2013 tax transcript as well to the interview. They may not want the updated I-864, but it's still a good idea to fill out and bring, just in case. When I received the P4 email, i stated something that I interpreted as I have to file 2013 taxes and submit it at the interview. In one hand I have my wife's hand, in the other hand I have my sons hand and strapped to my chest for safe keeping is a lovely Visa to USA for my wife. Below is the packet we received from the Embassy. Just got back into Bangkok. Will remain here until We depart for America. Hanging out by the pool with the family, eating spicy food and trying to catch up with where everyone in the VJ family is in their journey now that I finally have high speed internet.   Very happy to hear from you! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	I just had my first interaction with Joy. She didn't yell at me. Maybe she read my open letter?   Anyway, not under review yet. She told me to expect a case complete the first week of July. I nearly told her to take a long walk off a short pier. I asked her if it was possible for her to let her supervisor or someone know that their own web site is inaccurate as it states 2-4 weeks and it would probably lower call volume if their site was giving accurate information. She said they have an unsual amount of mail and while it "was" taking 2-4 weeks, that is not the case right now. She would not tell me what date range they're on, even after I said people around my date are getting answers (she sighed at me, I don't think she likes informed customers lol).   She never does like informed callers. I remember I had a long conversation with her about my I-129F and I think i really got in her nerves she started yelling and said " now you think you know it all, right", I started laughing at her and told her that I was only telling her facts from the NVC website and all. And if thats the case then what happens to my already submitted 864 on my dad's behalf?   What do you think Jeff?   Hi there, I'm doing good alhamduliallah! Just to be on the safe side, fill out I-864 and put $0 as total income for you for all the years since you did not work and write a letter explaining that you did not work because you were a student. Also, have your dad fill out I-864a and don't forget to send all supporting documents as if you were sending AoS packet fresh. Is it really necessary to call them to see if they reviewed our packages? I expect to see this info on the portal, where it says Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence and Civil Documents. Currently it says N/A. I figured that will change once our case is updated. Am I being too optimistic? Should we still call and not expect to see info online? The portal doesn't give that info. It does not even tell you when you get Case Complete. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Thanks for the info!  I'm not going to click or touch the DS-261 form link!     If the DS-261 form and the IV fee are not tied together, resetting the DS-261 form shouldn't affect how fast you'll receive the IV fee invoice.  I hope you get your IV fee invoice soon!       Thank you and I certainly hope it isn't related. They received my AOS package on 19 May so I will see what happens around that time...Good luck to you!    It just sucks but DS261 and IV fees are tied up! IV fees are not invoiced until NVC reviews and accepts DS261!!!! I hope resubmitting it does not affect you guys! First of all, he wouldn't hold on for more than 1 minute because my baby was crying and I wanted to grab her before reading him the USCIS case number.    He talked to me like I was an idiot then asked me the date I received the NOA2. When I said, May 27th, he told me that I need to read him word for word all of the information on the NOA2 (aka he wanted me to get to the part where it says, "wait 30 days before contacting NVC"). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Looks USCIS have better timelines than NVC...    Waiting for IV invoice.. :T   it is scary if USCIS has better timelines than NVC. NVC need a shake up to get back to normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The actual timelines are BS!!!!!   I think up to April (case #s assigned in April), NVC was pretty good, it was taking 2 weeks to review packets (2 weeks +/- 2 days). Around the end of April, it started to creep up to 3 weeks and then 3 weeks +. Now I think it is almost up to 30 calendar days. If they continue like this (USCIS getting faster and NVC getting overloaded), nobody can expect how bad it is going to get.   I think they should transfer cases to the embassies/consulates to deal with once case # is assigned, at least until they get back to the normal processing times	etrangais	Male	Morocco	2014-06-10 11:37:00
