IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	I wish they would change that error message to something more helpful. All those people that don't know about VJ are just freaking out and clogging up NVC phone lines    I think they are doing this in purpose! I paid IV fees on 21-Apr and it still shows IN PROCESS. I can't access DS260 yet. I think they are backlogged again and just decided to stop the process for sometime to allow them to catch up and then it will pick up again. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Just wondering how long does it take after the case gets completed for NVC to transfer over the case to the local embassy? And the embassy to actually send a physical letter to the applicant for interview. I herd there's about month and a half gap between the interview notice and the actual notice. Is that right or is it a case by case basis?   it depends on the date of Case Complete and when NVC is scheduling interviews for a specific embassy. If you miss the deadline than the wait is longer. The numbers might be a little better if they would come back and update us.   Its the same with the USCIS VJ timeline issue.  Alot of people drop off and never return.     So glad you remove them after a month. That really helps !!   AWESOME ! ! ! ! ! ! !! !   AS it stands now.. it looks like they are now taking 3 weeks to process the packages and give a Case Closed ! !   Not good for me... I have paid the IV fees and shows its in process and was planning to send the IV package today!!  You can go ahead and send it now! I'm only waiting for DS260. I can't send the IV packet yet since I don't have the PCC for my wife yet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr             Bahaha!   He really is super nice. I once called a couple of days before my birthday, and when running through his script to confirm my info at the beginning of the call he noticed it coming up and wished me a happy birthday Jim's the best of the bunch!   Jim may be the best! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Okay so here's a pretty weird, random and bordering-on-stupid question. Do you think I could be added to my husband's insurance now even before I'm in the USA? Here's the reason. We really wanna get pregnant as soon as I get there and we're hoping to get a head start on any waiting periods the insurance has before they cover maternity. It's usually a 6 to 9 month wait before the insurance kicks in, so if he adds me in now in May and I get there in August or September, we save about 4-5 months and then have to wait less time before actually getting pregnant. Does that make sense? Anyone?   I remember this was discussed before. Most insurers will require dependents to be added in these conditions: 1- Life event: birth of child, marriage: within 30 days of the event 2- Open enrolment: usually November of every year for coverage the year after 3- Loss of benefits: if the spouse loses benefits due to job loss   Bottom line, your spouse has to call his insurance and ask, different insurers have different rules.   I added my wife in November and I'm paying for her benefits knowing she will not be here until July!!! but it is well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!	etrangais	Male	Morocco	2014-04-23 05:51:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	hi....im have a question about i864,i sent the package already with last 3 years return and i dont meet income requirements for all three,but i just got promoted and i would exceed the poverty guidelines,my question is would they (embassy)consider my new income eligible even though i wont be able to provide other than a job letter and probably 2-3 month pay stubs till the interview date,thanks   Salam, Did you include the employment letter with the initial AoS packet (I-864)? If you did not and you do not meet the minimum income, NVC will issue you a checklist and will not allow your case to move forward. So, again if you did not send the new employment letter with the initial I-864, go ahead and prepare a new I-864 and make sure you include your new expected yearly salary. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	You did not mention about the IIN. I am hoping you asked them about Case # and also the IIN. Once you have both, you can log into CEAC website (do not ever wait for their emails) and check if you are able to fill in the DS-261 and pay the AOS fee. Once you have paid the AOS fee, and the money is taken from your bank account, you should be sending in the AOS package. Then in another week to two weeks you will be able to pay the IV fees (once the DS-261 is reviewed and approved). After submitting the IV fee it is time to send the IV package (yes you need copies of the applicant's/beneficiary pics) with this package. Best wishes for a quick case complete.   The emails right now are sent as soon the fees are available for payment. Somehow NVC picked up their game in that field! AOS, and DS-260 have been accepted and approved, just waiting for IV docs to be received and reviewed. IV was emailed April 4(did not receive auto reply) and again April 17 after receiving ENROLL acceptance(did receive auto reply this time). Expecting case complete by end of month.   Sounds good!
