IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Would like some advice and some guesses. We submitted the two docents required on checklist. One form was sent April21 and scanned April 23. The other which is PCC from India ( incl the the letter and photocopy of passport with the stamp) was received on May 9 and scanned to system May 12 and pending review. So based on the information, will we get a case complete this month? Also what's the chance of a June interview? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	After interview date is scheduled(by NVC), Is it possible to move the interview date sooner  by calling US Embassy ?    It is always a possibility! BUT, you'll have to wait until the embassy gets your file as they don't know anything about your case yet. Once they get your file, then you can call them directly and ask if they can give you an earlier spot. I know you can request a later interview date if you can't make your scheduled date. She said she can see there are 2 unopened pieces of mail scanned under our case number. Unopened! IV packet scanned in on Apr 29th and AOS on May 1st..   Good lord this is frustrating....  Not sure if this makes you feel better or worse: my IV packet was scanned in 28-Apr, and nothing yet! I called them, and the ding dong at the shipping facility typed in the zip code incorrectly. It was fixed and they just needed the customer to call to get a new tracking number. It is out of my control and there is nothing else I can do about it. So I'm holding off until Friday to call so they can tell me Nothing again. At this point there is no chance for a June interview anyway.    I'm so frustrated right now, knowing that we will get Case Complete just after they finish scheduling for June and we will have to wait for July round of scheduling begining of June!!!!!!!!! We obviously all have a desire for more information than the average person (or we wouldn't be here), but sometimes it is really helpful and even necessary for me to take a step back from both this site, but the whole process, and simply let things happen as they are anyway without my constant concern or involvement. This won't be a popular opinion here, but when calling NVC every few hours with no different result only makes you more unhappy, that is your sign that you're making things worse on yourself. Calling once a day, or once every 2-3 days, won't change the end result but hopefully will calm the exposed nerve that is never allowed to heal by a constant expectation for information and updates that won't come.   I agree 100% but I can't help it!!! I asked about June interviews. She said the end is coming soon and i should forget about a June interview..its not gonna happen. Maybe July ....and she wasn't nice about it either. Im finished with day shift idiots. They could be much nicer. I'm on my phone today because I'm working out of another office. My mustang needs a new steering column so its at the shop til tomorrow. I'm tired of waiting      Congrats on you approval. You should expect a case # on or a little before June 5th. It has been taking 30 days lately for a case #. I got an email from nvc saying to pay the Iv fee, but when I sign in click pay..there is no select option for it and it says $0.00 for it, but there is a select option for the aos package which I already paid for. From my understanding it's taking about 2 weeks from when the ds260 and packets arrive for a cc if there are no checklists? Please correct me if I'm wrong.  I'm over 2 weeks now (IV scanned 28-Apr and DS260 completed 25-Apr) and still waiting for CC. I hope to get something today or tomorrow. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Thanks, just got off the phone again and Jean suggested that if I mail another copy, and they 'find' mine and accept it in the meantime, it WILL delay the case as they'd have to pull the file and open it to review again if more mail arrives.    So now I'm really torn about whether to send another copy including the second page, or wait for the supervisor review (standard 30 days speech for that).   How long for most people's supervisory review?  Am I correct to think it's been just days or has it been weeks?       Good morning   I'm really sorry you got a checklist! I was really hoping you get a Case Complete and get out of the queue! but I guess it is not time yet! Good luck with the supervisor review! It usually takes couple of days even if they say it may take 30 days!   I myself ALMOST forgot to send the original police certificate. I left it in the copy machine in the post office. But I remembered it after I sealed the envelope! I run back to the machine and found it still there! Almost .....   I'm hoping to get a case Complete today!!!!!!!!! Since you are the expert on PDF stuff I thought I should ask you. I just realized the Tax transcripts that the joint sponsor sent me are security protected. It will not let me remove the security protection in settings even though I know the password.  Do you think there is any way around this? I remember reading that the NVC will not accept documents that are security protected.    Just my 2 cents: you can always print them and re-scan them. Thank you so much!! Thank you!! I have turned in to Etrangais today...   This operator I just talked to... can't remember who she was...   Her: the operator yesterday never should have requested a supervisor review. Me: She was confused as to why they were reviewing it again yesterday without the new mail.   It was already reviewed almost 2 weeks ago, They sent me a checklist for the Birth Cert already.  Her: ( nasty)  They aren't going to review it again. You just have to wait . They didn't even look at your mail that is waiting...   Me: that isn't what I was told this morning. I was told it is being reviewed right now.  Not just scanned in, its actually with someone. Her: you just have to wait... Me:  yea yea  thanks  ( click)      I called around 10:00 AM: nothing new.   Right now I'm really fighting the urge to call again! God this is turning me into a maniac!!!!!!!!!! I requested embassy change for my wife interview and when I called they told me I have to wait until they read the email which will waste me along time, this process is killing me, so today I went a head and sent them an overnight letter (it may be faster than email!!)   I think you can go ahead and pay the AoS and IV bills while you are waiting for the embassy change. So maybe you can try calling after 5pm because then you will most likely have a definite answer.    Thank you for reporting back! That means they could get to my IV packet before end of week! Usually AP is when the beneficiary is a Male from some specific countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan, in some cases Egypt, Morocco and other MENA countries. It is a draw of luck never say never...  Yesterday they were trying to review my case AGAIN without the mail  that was only scanned in on the 8th..  SO YOU NEVER KNOW.... I received a checklist and 2 reminders very close to each other and then yesterday a note in my file in the early am looking for the Birth certificate.    I have to laugh because I sent that certificate in as fast as I possibly could. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Yesterday I laughed because you were embarrassed.. but honestly, I find nothing wrong with calling 4 times a day..  NOTHING AT ALL.  You paid the required fees... that includes customer service.. They are paid to answer the phones.. They should not be commenting on the calls that  come through because that is their job security.  Call every hour if you want.  I call 3 times a day sometimes.  In my experience if you don't get good news in the early am  you can absolutely get something good by noon  and if not Noon,  you can for sure get a different answer at night. It happened to me many times. Don't feel bad....  call your little heart out.  Its 8 am..  Do the worker bees start at 7 or 8??    The actual NVC reviewers work 8 AM to 5 PM. I will hold and not call until noon at least. I see people here with packets scanned in on the 24th and they are still not reviewed yet. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	I have a question that I'm sure there's a simple answer to, but I'm a bit unclear. So for the IV documents I understand they do not need to be translated. My husband's passport and our marriage certificate are already in both English in Arabic. However the police certificate and birth certificate will not be. When I send them into the the NVC I don't think anyone will be able to read Arabic...so how will they know I've completed the IV requirements? Do you put a sticky note the ones that are not in English telling them what it is? We are thinking to translate them anyway, to be honest...but if anyone can explain how that works with untranslated documents, please let me know.   Thanks   They need to be translated to English. I'm pretty sure the CO in Cairo does not speak Arabic, Just like Casablanca. I translated everything to English!!!!!!!
