It's probably more the lack of regular sex than my impatience. I blame the crippling loneliness.

OMG...ok so said i was gonna stay off VJ for awhile...but this is pretty damn funny :D

For me I can live without the sex, its the loneliness and the missing my daughter thats the worse...

103 days..still waiting for NOA2 uh uh...last update June 22.. :(

111 for me. Last update 6/11. As horrible as this is, it does make me feel better, (in the sense that misery loves company, and at least I can be fairly confident the USCIS didn't loose my petition) That a lot of my fellow June filers are in the same boat. Next Monday is my birthday, I only want one present....NOA2....APPROVAL!!!!

Hey everyone! I am new to posting, but I have been stalking to boards for months now :) This site has been such a blessing, I can't imagine how anyone does this without using VJ as a resource! We got caught in the crazy CSC "stoppage" by a matter of days... sent our I-129F to the CSC May 24, NOA1 of June 3, with a last touch date of 6/10/2010... it has been very hard (as you all know!) We made wedding plans for the end of January and I am in an absolute panic that everything won't be processed in time... I guess all we can do is think good thoughts and hope that the CSC suddenly returns to it's formerly speedy self! I am very nervous that the holidays will hit and there with be no interview/processing in dec and jan... sigh. i just wish he could live here while all of this happens. Sorry for a rather useless "poor me" rant... probably not the best impression to start with on the VJ site, huh? haha. much love and luck to everyone else who is waiting... at least there is skype, right?

First welcome aboard (although technically you are not a june filer! lots of July high-jackers here B-) ....second, no worries on the rant, we all feel it. I too, had hopes of Jan wedding, and getting my fam here by Christmas. We are rapidly approaching the time where that may not happen, and frankly its killing me. My Fiancee and I have an 18 month old daughter, and my Fin is 3.5 months pregnant, so we have not only our lives riding on the CSC, but the lives of our children. I certainly hope that the CSC gets its A$$ in gear...the lack of ANY recent approvals for VJ'ers is frankly disconcerting. I did lodge an inquiry with my Senator to investigate the lack of approvals, and even though I am not beyond 5 months her staff said they would look into :star: So, I will post up when I hear back.

keep the faith, may the force be with you, etc etc.

Lets all Hope that they start processing Visa`s next week (think positive and just pray)! Wish we had an explanation as to why the delay in approvals. I am just gonna believe they will start at God speed next week.

Robert

Slowed down due to a back log of H1b's. H1b's have a service window of >2 months. They got behind. Also, h1b's are eligible for 'premium' processing. I work for a company with a large number of H1b's. I asked our HR immigration person and our immigration lawyer. They told me that USCIS is dedicated almost all of its resources to clearing the H1b backlog. Its the Economy stupid.....makes the employment numbers look better.

Even our love is being affected by the economy.... Good news, they are starting to clear the backlog of H1b's and shifting people back to other types of petitions.

Thats a positive spin on it! I like that. Does put it into perspective. Unfortunately VJ timeline counters don't account for non-working days/

Is this normal? It seems there has been no activity from the CSC in weeks. I know this board represents a small percentage of cases, but still....no one has even been RFE'd in ages. I'm getting very anxious.

Its normal. If you look at the past time stats on VJ, there is a slow down as the fiscal year comes to an end. Also mean approval's in the past were much longer then we saw for the first few months of 2010. I think we all got spoiled by the really fast approvals we saw, if you look at the VSC, they have slowed as well. The average is still about 120 days. It sucks, but I dont think its out of the norm. Day 100 for me today.

Wait CSV told my fiance that the Fiance Visa will take 5 months even on USCIS time line. I really don't know who to believe is it really 6-8 months or 5, which is it? Hopefully, its all worth the wait and that they would let us be with our husband coz this is really hard for both parties of not being together. PRAYING for all of us. God Bless.

There is really no way to determine how long it will take, It could be as fast as 3-4 months (very unlikely) or could take a year or more. There are a lot of variables that come into play. If you look at the long term mean average days for K1 over the last 4 years, Average time from NOA1 to interview and approval is about 200 days... about 6.5 months. Again, could be longer or shorter, a lot of things determine the outcome. God Bless

I posted this on the other June CSC....some encouragement.

Some statistical encouragement. I have been running some queries against the timelines, and have come out with some good news. Ok, so I looked at K1's at the CSC with an NOA1 date as follows:

2010-05-16 to 2010-05-21 4 out 5 with NOA2 recd
2010-05-23 to 2010-05 28 18 out of 22 with NOA2 recd...NOTICE THE BIG Spike in rec'd petitions...could explain the slow-down, I think we have to assume that this was analogous across the board, not just VJ members...
2010-05-30 to 2010-06-04 2 out of 15 with NOA2 recd
2010-05-06 to 2010-06-11 0 out of 12 with NOA2 recd.

I know the timeline stats are so small they are almost statistically insignificant, but, this does indeed show that they do in fact process them as they arrive, and further shows that trying to look at timelines in the aggregate is statistically difficult because the sampling is skewed by anomalous data. We also have to remember that CSC received 2,400+ I129F's in June of 2010! so our data is very very small indeed! However, these queries to show progression in the order rec'd, AND give me hope that I am indeed getting close! Pray for no RFE's.

and yes...I do have a little too much time on my hands today...

older thread, yes but we still check it : ) I too suffered through a long and agonizing divorce...(its a common thing here). Amazing to think that its all over now, my Fiancée and I are now married (as of 2/11) My wife arrived on her k1 on Jan 12, 2011. I filed the k1 on June 1 2010, three weeks after my divorce was (finally) final. My ex and I separated in 2007!

Our NOA1 was dated July 6 and the last time we got touched was July 21.

NO  ! June CSC filers are seeing NO movement. I am at day 84 since NOA1. There are many with NOA1 dates 6/1-6/8 with nothing yet. There is a serious slowdown at CSC..(no clue why) Now I know that 66 k1's out of 2700+ filed in June at the CSC is very, very, small sampling...BUT....I would assume some movement....I'm depressed and trying to be patient. I was really hoping for August approval....didn't happen.

What's a processing stoppage?

When the service center appears to STOP processing a particular type of form. I am assuming that this could happen for a variety of reasons, back-log, staff out sick, on vacation etc., This is NOT an official thing, i.e USCIS does not have an official STOPPAGE, I'am just basing this on VJ timelines (again very un-scientific) BUT considering very very few June filers (on VJ, there are a few in Igor's list, but to me look to have questionable time-lines) have yet to receive NOA2, I am making the assumption that for whatever reason....they have temporarily back logged processing of I-129F's at CSC...Keep in mind however that their SLA is five months....so anything less is a God-send.

Its also tough that according to Igor's list...not many June filers approved (like most)

73 days and counting.... :crying:

Hi J, nope I think now that they are processed at the TX Locbox, they dont put the case number on the back (mine was not and in reading the forums seems the mo now...no case number on the check. gotta wait for the NOA1.

If this is the fastest part of the progress, I am going to be one mighty frustrated person for next several months.

Bummer :( well if it was delivered to CSC Monday, should get to TX today, Check should clear Thursday, NOA1....next week : ) I'm speculating of course.

But the NOA1 is just the 'yeah, we got your stuff, it looks ok, we will take your money part, then the REAL waiting starts....I log in every day to see if my case has been 'touched' lol...OCD.. But hey take heart...if you need motivation look at the March 2010 filers, most of them FLEW through the process, there are a lot that are already arriving in the US!!!

Yeah I think this new USCIS lock box intake process is slowing it down by two or three days! It would have been nice if they would have a hard and fast cut of day to tell people to send the app to either Texas or Phoenix! instead of sending to CSC then they send to Texas, and then back again. In everyone's opinion, is there even a glimmer of hope that if I send my application out this week, that we could be approved by February? My FH and I have been invited to my cousin's wedding and I was hoping to use that time to introduce Ali to my mom's entire family. Is this a pipe dream?

sorry to hear that but dont worry. I dont't know exactly how long it will take (no one does) but I did a few searches through the forums, and it looks like the vast majority of RFE's that request additonal documents seem to clear up in about 1 month.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPetitioning for better USCIS service

USCIS set my expectation correct in saying the process might take 5 months or more depending on work load. So far I haven't had any problem with them yet. However, I do think they could use a big dosage of transparency especially since transparency is the cornerstone of good governance.

USCIS should make more of their data public. What they have on their website's dashboard gives us some visibility. More would be helpful. USCIS if you need a data analyst and are willing to compensate me handsomely for this, I am ready to discuss our future together. You have my address and my wife's address. Get back to me. Thanks.

Probably not, I find the timeline data to be quite inaccurate most of the time. However these are the results for IR1's thus far in Monteral in 2010

Hi,

New to the site, but glad I found it! I have a question and hope some others can help, who had a similar situaiton. I met my fiancee' in Sept 2007. We have been together (I have actualy been living in the Philippines since Sept 2008), we have a beautiful daughter together (born March 2009) Now here is the question, (And please dont judge me on this) My divorce is Finally complete in August. I plan on filing the I29 for my future wife the day after my divorce is final. Does any one think or know if this will have a negative impact on my petition? I.e will they see that I have had an ongoing relationship with my fiancee since 2007, while still legaly married? Again please dont judge me on this, I had a very long and protracted divorce...I have not been living with or 'with' my soon to be ex wife in over 2 years. It simply took a long time for the divorce to finalize. Thanks!

You can start gathering evidences of your relationship with your fiancee and you can file a petition for her when your divorce gets finalized. How do you like living in Surigao? I am from Agusan del Norte and speak the same dialect with your fiancee.

Sorry, we don't have similar experienced like yours... we wish you best of luck!

maayong hapon Tunay na Bisaya! musta na ikaw?

We actually live in Cavite, but my fiancee is from Tagbina, SDS. I have visted there with her family a few times. I like Surigao a lot! The beachs there are nice. Yes, evidence of our relationship is no problem! We have a beautiful babae together. I was just concerned that we may have trouble because we were together before I was legally divorced.

As long as you are legally free to marry when you file your I 129 you are fine.

There are several people on here who were still legally married, though separated from their spouses, for differing amounts of time while in a relationship with the person they eventually petitioned for. There are plenty of cases where the divorces drag out for a long time. Lives don't get put on hold just because the legal system doesn't move quickly.

Great, thanks for your answer! I thought that would be the case, but curious if anybody had any first hand experience

Again please dont judge me on this, I had a very long and protracted divorce...I have not been living with or 'with' my soon to be ex wife in over 2 years. It simply took a long time for the divorce to finalize. Thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK2 or Not?

The daughter is a US citizen with a US passport, all she needs to do is get on a plane with mom and come. No worries, and no visa needed.

Yeah agreed. But I am concernned that when I file the petition, and put our daughters name on it, when it works through the system, they will assume she is not a US citizen, and try to issue a k2..(which may delay cause confusion etc toher mothers k1) Im probably being paranoid....but I dont want anything to delay the process good.gif Im wondering if I should include a letter of explanation that describes that our daughter is US citizen???
