My Security clearance came back but apparently the embassy requested some more information. I dont see any light at the end this dark tunnel called immigration. This is just ridiculous... They dont help you. They dont tell you when you will hear from them... They dont give you specific details... I dont know what to do... OMG Al!!! I cannot believe they returned your file! I am truly shocked by this! You were living, working, paying taxes and long married in the US before you filed - what on earth could they possibly need more of! Good luck - you're in our prayers..... Just when I think all is good we get another freaking brick wall. so I dont know what hell the lady meant we will get a response from Amex. last security check took nearly 3 months Dayum it Shon! Wow, I am so sorry - How long has it been since you seen that Bingo of yours? Maybe a trip back for his birthday would be in order.. but Pakistan in July - ouch. I would tell the husband to take an extra $100 or so to the embassy "just in case" they want to take a full set of fingerprints. I would definitely continue in your I-130 also, - you never know, they just might switch the interview to a CR-1 if the case is complete and at the Embassy on that day. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0	Good luck Laney- I pray this is the end of this HELLISH Process. for my husband and my interview they looked at chat records, mostly to see if we had them. here is a tip.. my husband keeps all my e mail in one file online. he printed top page that listed all the emails. they never said nothing more. about wanting to read the contents. You guys have such great ideas!! I will try both. Hopefully the idea of me telling them I would be happy to fax 475 pages of random, lovey dovey, I miss you IM's will scare them into just sending the dayum visa via TCS! My husband got a letter from the Embassy today: ATTN FSN's: MUST RE-INTERVIEW WITH AN AMERICAN OFFICER We are ready to continue the processing of your immigrant Visa. Please come any working day 10am to 12pm. They want him to bring his new/old passports and Printout versions of all chat sessions and emails I guess my Satruday will be spent printing the last 18 months worth of daily chats! I was at the interview in person, I brought emails, chats, cards, they did not want any - but now they want him to go to ISL to present these things... [happy thoughts ... happy thoughts ...] Did anyone else get this? I just called the DOS 4 days ago and the case was still pending??? I dont get it! There are 15 years difference between me and my fiance in Vietnam. I'm 32. She is 17 [size=2]at time of filing, so I submitted notarized parental consent letter so that we can "legally marry" at time of filing (which meets obligations in the state we will marry), although it's unlikely she will get a visa within 90 days of her 18th birthday. I received the approval email from California on Jan 13 2006- but when I received he paper NOA it was dated Jan 23 (go figure). Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	pakistan:islambad, calling people on admin review , AR, from pakistan	in some unrelated good news. My father got his B1-B2 visa today. He was on Security clearance for about three months. The cool thing was it says on the visa that the security clearance was dont yesterday and the visa issued the same way.. That means that the embassy is pretty quick issuing the visa once the clearance is recieved.. one interesting thing was when he applied for the Visa through american express. It Said Donkey ordered. United Kingdom	pkt 3 is written so poorly	I have often wondered through this process who in the world writes out these forms. LOL. My husband got his packet this morning and was slightly disappointed that they simply crossed out K2 and wrote in K3. In his words, he was expecting some posh red, white and blue official looking papers...... Thats so funny! I expected the hubby to get a really cool official Embassy letter head interview notice also. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I’m going to dizz-knee-land	Well, the day is finally here!! After 229 days, 2 fees, 1 trip thru the NVC, 2 interviews, 200 printed pages of chat sessions, 2 cases of food poisoning, 1 mugging, 1 motorcycle accident, 1 car accident, 2 birthdays, 4 flights, {not to mention the countless holidays} and a solo valentines day - my baby is in the air and on his way to the mile high city!! Naseer will be here by 5pm today!! My husbands Admin Review started Nov 8, 2005 and I called the DOS 12-13 times since then to find out our status. My last call was Feb 10th and I was told the same story, “case is still pending.” After being on VJ for the last 7 months, I realized it would still take another 3 weeks at the Islamabad Embassy after the DOS completed its clearances. So once again – I hung up the phone and added 4 weeks to our journey. You can imagine my disbelief when my husband called me at 5am on Feb 16th to tell me he had just received a letter from the Embassy! They were ready to continue his visa processing and he had to return to re-interview. I thought, there is no way – it was still in the States as of 4 days ago, it must be a mistake. The minute the DOS opened that morning I called to ask the status - and wow!! The case had been returned to the embassy in the middle of January – huh I called 4 times after that date and was told pending! I guess the DOS still tells you “pending” up until the day the letter is actually sent.??? Anyway, we did not have to endure the waiting game at the Embassy and were wonderfully surprised that we had the letter in hand! Within the next 7 days we had a visa in the passport and a plane ticket to the states. WEEEEEEEEHAAAAA! As luck would have it, I scheduled a conference the week of March 5th in Florida. I have not seen my husband since his interview, it would be so silly to say Hi baby, welcome home, now I’m leaving for a week . I managed (at a lovely last minute fare) to get him a plane ticket to come with me. This will be our official 2nd honeymoon – he is going to be submerged in American Culture full force his first 10 days here.. – yaaa… MargaritaVille, Comedy Clubs, and a Bob Marley -Tribute to Freedom at Universal Studios!! hehehehehehe After all of this, who would have ever thought my husband would be able to look at his friends and family and say – “Hey, I got my Visa – I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND” {ya ya, I know its World in Florida, but you get the idea ) Thanks to everyone who has ever helped us on this leg of our journey and to all of you who kept it interesting!
