K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	hello!    who have to do  who have to do DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application or i can do it for her?     The travel.gov site says; "If an applicant is illiterate or unable to complete the application, the applicant must be assisted by a third party. The third party must be identified on the ?Sign and Submit? page of the application. While the third party can assist the applicant in completing the application, he or she must instruct the applicant on how to endorse the application on his or her own behalf by clicking the ?Sign Application? button." K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	Case update:   We received our Vancouver case number today by calling DOS (202) 485-7600 at about 7:30AM PST. Pressed 1 then 0, transferred to a lady named Sarah who was very nice and helpful. I provided the USCIS receipt number then she gave the case number and said that it was forwarded to the consulate yesterday. Our NOA2 date was November 8th and based on our case number, it was processed at NVC/DOS on December 9th. That makes it 32 days from NOA2 to reaching NVC.   Also note that our original I-129F package was sent to TSC which was then forwarded to CSC. We never received any text or email updates regarding the case being forwarded to NVC. Our USCIS case status still says "On November 8, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283." I highly recommend calling DOS to check your case status, especially if your case was processed at CSC.   I will be emailing the consulate my DS-160 confirmation along with my completed Packet 3 list and ask for Packet 4 to be emailed.    Good luck everyone!     Thank you, this is extremely helpful. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	We were able to schedule the medical, get all the police reports and sent off everything she needs.  She still hasn't received a packet 3 from the Jerusalem consulate but we got the packet 3 off the website and did everything.  Medical needed her JRS2013# so we had to have it to perform medical.  Also, filed out the DS-160 online.   Thank you, I had read on another post that the doctor wouldn't do the medical until you had an interview booked. On the back of each photo we identified who was in it, when and where it was taken, and then each of us signed it.   That's probably more than necessary, but it worked for our NOA2 approval. You don't need a ring, or to get on one knee to be engaged.   The main proof of engagement is your signed letter of intent to marry that each of you should submit in your I-129f. It's better to go to the interview with a bunch of documents that you don't need, than to be delayed getting your K1 because you didn't bring the right thing. It might, but even if you do everything right you have virtually no control over the time it takes. Some NOA 2's alone take more than 3 months. My interview date alone is two months away.
