US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	dress code for manila interview?	my latest neighbor induced problem, lol. my fiancee has been 'told' she needs to be dressed formal , ie. no pants or sandals,--- MUST be a dress or skirt with blouse. neighbor ,' in the know' says it is RULE. does anyone have any feedback i can send to fiancee? ruby's med is sept 28 with interview on oct 6 thanks douie there is really no dress code but it will be better if she is dressed even just "semi-formal",you know,more presentable,its a very important inteview and it will be nice if youre dressed properly...when i had my interview in manila,february this year (im a US permanent resident now,) well i was wearing,a skirt 3/4 sleeve top with collar,high hill shoes,my hair is nicely tied,wore light make up....well,there are some people wearing denim and collared top and it was okay with the embassy...i guess formal attire would help a little bit (impressions is important)... and most of all tell your fiance to always wear a smile...it would help her lessen the nervous feeling she would surely have....i swear i was so nervous when i had mine,its wasnt really obvious to other people,only if they know,my hands/feet are as cold as ice,my knees are super weak and i swallow my saliva every other 3 seconds........whoa...i can immagine your fiance's face...hehehehe good luck	peacekeeper810	Not Telling	Philippines	2006-09-14 16:02:00
US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Strange Medical Exam Question/Form	Over the last couple of days, my fiancée and her son got all their vaccines updates. (Their poor arms.) Today, they had their medical exam for the interview at the embassy in Bogotá in two weeks. After the medical exam, the doctor mentioned that all was good and there were no issues. But then he had my fiancée sign a form that raised questions for us. I did not see it, but from my understanding it had several check boxes about: vaccines completed vaccines not completed with waivers vaccines not completed with no waivers He had checked her form with "vaccines not completed with no waivers". She questioned him on this. He insisted that it was proper but gave little explaination. (He had a 'take it or leave it' attitude.) It is confusing because my fiancée and her son brought in their forms showing that they had their vaccines up to date. Has anyone seen this form when they went to their medical exam? If so, what information can you give me about the form. I'm a little concerned that [a] the embassy might think the vaccines are not in order, or [b] when my fiancée and her son arrive here, future medical exams might want them to get vaccinated again. Thanks for your help. i came to the US with a k1 visa and in my medical in the philippines,i was asked if i want my vaccine be done there or in the US (k1 visa holders can have her vaccine done here).The hospital or clinic where she had her medical will give her the vaccination sheet that she needs to bring to the US,before filling for AOS you have to visit surgeons to have your vaccine completed...so basically,vaccine done or not in her country,she can always have it here later...	peacekeeper810	Not Telling	Philippines	2006-09-14 20:45:00

What does the bank give out as proof? Is it just a receipt? The fee can be paid at any of the designated banks (citibank,bank of the Philippines islands) as i can remember,the teller will give a Form and staped it "paid"..(non-immigrant application form)that youll submit late on (during the inteview) i went to that process,and i swear,the interview made me so nervous from the minute i went in the embassy until i got my visa 5 days after...They didnt tell you if you're approved or not in the interview...i could immagine howyour fiance feels right now... whoa thank God i got my greencard (1yr) this afternoon...2-year GC will be mailed in couple weeks... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I129F returned for review	I received my approved NOA 2 on February 28. My application was returned to USCIS for further review from the State Department on March 25th. I called NVC to inquire about the reason and was told to call USCIS. USCIS states they can not tell me but to wait 120 days for a response.  They also stated my NOA 2 would expire before a response was received. I called my congressman and he was able to obtain the reason for the return, Part C on the I129F was incomplete. I corrected the error and sent it back to VSC. I then sent a follow-up email to VSC. They responded that it would be a long time before my case was reviewed and they recommended starting a completely new application. Now I don't know what to do. Should I wait for the review or re-file? Shouldn't USCIS have caught the omission on the initial review and sent me an RFE? I can't believe an error that should have been caught by USCIS will result in having to start the process all over again. Or they try but it might be other factors that makes them go faster for some people and slower for others... Who knows... Maybe the way we packeged it... Cases oround me still not approved so more proves to say that they do this thing ramdomly. Yesterday i didnt post anything an i didnt check my status last night before bed... Maybe u need to do the same... This morning idk y i woke up at 6am for no reason... I went ahead and called my fiancee and whilr we were on facetime i was like wait let me check this status... And bam!! Approval! I was like baby omg! I cant believe it... We just got approved! So it wad crazy! An advice, go ahead and do stuff, go to gym, walk to the mall, go to walmart... Take ur head out of this bs... It worked for me... I think majority of december filers that got transfered had to wait 6 months and a half... Maybe thats what it is... Texas timeline i mean... Idk! Skype talks can't replace daddy's kiss for good night . Sad? No, this is cruel. Next week it will be 7 months from NOA1 , and 7 months we didn't see him. We were not together on his birthday , her birthday , my birthday , valentine's day , Easter , her graduation from kindergarten , Mother's Day and Father's Day . We lost this moments , she makes memories without him. Sad? No, this is cruel. Happy "initial review" again to me ! And congrats to everyone who got approved last night ! Hey! I knew I had seen someone recently and I think Angelina, VazPayne and QueenofBlades all had a similar experiences. Of being told to wait 45 or 30 days... Same old response and then POOF Magic Showed up!!   You are so sweet!! And apparently we are similar in a few respects.. My Fiance and I agreed before we even filed the paperwork (to not discuss it (unles it's positive) or even really our wedding specifics because we only want the focus to be on us (not an event) and building our relationship because long distance adds it challenges.   So we chose to go forward as if there was no paperwork and we are just waiting for the right time for him to move here.. We go about our daily lives knowing that we will be together VERY soon.  Share stories, laughs, crack on each other. Prepare for our trips.. lol We both have pics of each other posted everywhere in our respective homes so that as we would when we are together we "See" each other.. On/By the couch, in the bathroom mirror, kitchen... bedside. lol    Sometimes I even holler down the hall telling him something... as if he is there.. like when we are together.. Just so I get to remember what that is like.. . Oh! and speakerphone helps!! We put each other on speaker phone and do stuff around the house so it's "like" when we are together!!    Shutting up now.. lol     @Strictly4tehLuv - Awwwww thanks!!! But it was on and off as fas as distance because he was going back to the states to spend summer, sone christmas... So im trained as far as distance relationships!! (and tired of them also, LOL) but yeah, new technologies helped a lot!!! Wharsapp, and since two years ago im in love with iphone facetime! We call each other and just leaving the phone in the table we act like we are together just watchig tv... Etc... Well, i just wanted to share a lil bit how i leave this situation, posibly make somebody laugh and forget about this bs with my boring love history! At least you guys know ehat im talkig about!
